I was thinking the blast and shockwave could be used to hear the resulting acoustic sounds the solar body would give off afterwards to hear if the moon is solid or hollow. logic there-in being if one planet or moon is hollow, it'd be likely all are.

ok well I did a little research, they arent actually BOMBING the moon, they are creating a controlled collision. even if there was life on the moon, this would piss them off no more than the thousands of other asteroids that hit the moons surface.
You cant bomb objects in space and explosions can not occur. So this would just result in a collision between the the rocket and the moon causing the debris cloud.

It's an interesting concept, but if we bomb the moon... there's a possibility of destroying it, which will pretty much distort our orbit and stop our tides which will effect our coastal ecosystems. So in our best interest, NASA would be wise to not bomb the moon.
