~~~ Hmmmmmmmm,,,Just as well I believe in Miracles!,,,heh,heh,,,,,how else could a 'choock' give birth to a 'duck' that turns into a 'swan'? ,,,,lol,,,, ~~~
this is where it happened, this was the introduction of pathos into the animated cartoon that Walt Disney had been aiming for, that brought his cartoons to a level above any others, & they would keep getting better too. But it was Dick Lundy who did it first, and this is where he did it, with this simple little duck here
@DudeOpen awww, did i do that? welllll excuuuse me, sorry that i hurt your feeling. Maybe I should follow the rules closer, right, cause we all know how nobody mispells on the internet, right? sure thing
@nastyfukker ok first off, cartoon was way off. a third grade vocab i believe. might even be second. misspelling epiphany may be understandable, but not cartoon. youre just bad lol
If you want a version that has that, watch the Modern Classics of Hans Christian Andersen. The mom is a lot nicer, and the ending is very satisfactory.
@davidtimof The 1939 one is sadder imo. There's something heroic about the 1931 one, the 1939 one is just a series of humiliations. Both are great anyway.
So technically, shouldn't this be called "The Ugly Chicken?"
Some people here should stop bitching about this cartoon being racist, the duck might just be a baby mallard.
deusirae76 6 months ago
@deusirae76 No kidding, the animators simply had to differentiate between a chicken and a duck and chicks are always light colored.
if not for this here duck of Lundys, there would have been no Dumbo, no flying mouse even, no Lambert or Ferdinand. elmer too, no elmer
I mean, this cartune may have not been all that big at the box office, but for Disney studios it was a freakin epiphiny
