It's in my experience that Filipino fighting game fans RARELY have any love for Capcom fighters. They tend to stick with Tekken 6.

I don't have anything against Tekken, but I'm just curious as to why Filipino gamers love them so much. A lot of the arcades or game cafes I got to, they got Tekken 5 DR or Tekken 6 machines and so many people watching and playing, while the likes of SSFIV or UMVC3 have less people and not that many people watching.

In short, what's the appeal of Tekken?

@nepomusik Maybe it's the people who are playing Tekken? ( Local Pro or what not) could be just the hype for the game there. It just might be a similer situation with Japan and SF or Arcane Heart 3. As far as the appeal goes. Pretty much the same appeal for any other reason people like games. The story, type of Charaters, and the combat system. Maybe they prefer 3D fighters and Tekken was the best one to them. Or, they hate Capcom for all the shit they talked about their fans.

@XahGee Lol I very much doubt thats the case, no one in their right mind would have attacked during the level 3, what probably happened is that he X-Factored and the activation was punished by the level 3, because X-factor activation during a block string isnt completely safe, its just incredibly hard to punish probably about 1 frame of recovery. The level 3 probably hit during that 1 frame.

@jayy126 Actually you can continue blocking while being caught in a string after activating XF. If you look closely on the second game, FChamp dashed forward after activating XF. He seriously thought he could attack and paid for it dearly.

@Nightmaresins I just cant see why anyone would do that, even if he did manage to hit Arthur, Phoenix would have still been hit by the level 3 because it would still be active during the first hit on Arthur. Why do that when you could just wait for the level 3 to finish then attack? Arthur's X-Factor would have ran out before Phoenix's and Arthur wouldnt have had the meter to do another level 3, so he would have a huge advantage after he blocked the level 3. Maybe it was a mistake, it happens.

Arthur can still act when he uses his level 3 if i'm not mistaken. It's the only non-cinematic level 3 in the game, CURRENTLY. In regards to Phoenix dying., A level 3 X-factor level 3 will do enough damage to kill phoenix, even with chip. F. Champ tried to get a hit in with phoenix, but since the level 3 is continuous, he went to "punish" but got hit with the level 3.

I THINK I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, AFTER PHOENIX TURNED INTO DARK PHOENIX, FCHAMP, WAS TRYING TO AVOID BEING CHIPPED TO DEATH, SO HE XFACTORED.
