@iSnipeWD I've already zeroed in my scope some what (can use some tweaking) but if I was to use this do I have to adjust my windage and elevation to zero
Please add a zoom feature. I use an 10-40x56 scope and the zoom feature would help a ton.. Also maybe some improvements on range estimation when you take a picture.
hi there iv watched all you videos an did not see any thing about scope mag i see that your app tells you were to aim in mills so iv done a lot of shooting and no if you change the mag on the scope you change you mill dot aim points so can you set the mag many thanks look fowered to hearing from you
Cheers for that, just another lil question, what magnification is isnipe set to if any? Just that when u adjust mag then points of aim change? Or is there another vid explaining? Cheers
@duttonman20 Indeed... Assuming your scope's reticle is on the second focal plane, the details screen currently only shows solutions for your scope's "Ranging Magnification" or the zoom level your scope manfacturer chose as the default Mil-Dot setting. For many scopes, this is the 10X zoom setting, but it can vary depending on Make and Model.
We're looking into adding a variable zoom setting for the details screen, but it's a little more involved than it first sounds.
@duttonman20 Step Size is the increment that iSnipe will report back with... If this is set to 10 yards, it will out results in 10 yard increments (0, 10, 20, 30, etc). If it's set to 25yards, the output will look like: 0, 25, 50, 75, etc.
You may want to check out the v3.0 videos, I explain the individual elements in a bit more detail.
@isnipeWD i love this app it is very accurate but you guys screwed up on the last major update by adding wind in with the rest of the atmospheric conditions. I dont want to mess with altitude or barometric pressure because out to 600 yards it doesnt affect your bullet much and i dont have wifi when im out at the range to look it up
What magnification power is it based on, someone who compared this to Chair Gun said it appears to be 9x. Will adding your scope mag be a variable in the near future?
@assman83 The details screen is based on the "Ranging Magnification" specific to each scope... All second-focal plane scopes (most common type) have specific magnification that their reticle were designed to work at - most commonly this is 10X.
We will indeed be adding support for variable magnifications in near future... No specified date yet though.
Would it be possible to make the angle finder work so phone can be standing. That way this app could be used in conjunction with the Iphone rifle mount. Cant wait for summer so I can actually use this instead of just playing with it still very cool.
@mrmidnight32 We currently don't offer iSnipe for anything but the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch... There are several free online ballistic calculators if you search google though (try "jbmballistics").
@SirPsychoRHCP - We're in the process of adding Pellets to our database, but it will currently calculate pellet trajectories if you know the necessary ballistic data for your specific brand.
@iSnipeWD Okay, cool. So for now you just need to enter in the ballistic coeff of the pellet along with the grain weight and velocity? When do you think the pellets will be added to the app?
ok,so I bought an ipod touch and downloaded this. I am super impressed,I own 19 rifles all of which are here, with the exception of one wildcat, hell,my .348 is even there.Knowing my bc and mv for my 22-250 ackley improved it works great. I'm going to have a great time with this, thanks for the great app
Nice totorial.accurate ballistic and wind calculations are very difficult and take lots of practice to even begin to make any use of them.also it would take to long for 1person to make the calculations and make scope adjustments to be able to get accurate results.
Just wondering does the app have Hornady superformance 22/250 50 gr?

animater231 4 months ago
@animater231 Not at all... simply adjust the required number of clicks, up and or down from your current position.
If your scope has the ability to reset it's turrets back to zero, that is always helpful, but certainly not necessary.

kingkong01903 6 months ago
@kingkong01903 Currently iSnipe assumes you're using the "Ranging Magnification" setting on your scope.
This setting is different for various models, but often can be the 10X zoom setting.
As mentioned above, setting the zoom-level on the details screen is actually next on our To-Do list =)

can i print the range card?

@bobotea1234 Not at the moment, but it's on our short-list of features to implement.

If I shooting with airgun, I will find something interesting in this program? There is something about pellets? Like JSB Exact?
SuprimaFalcon 1 year ago
@SuprimaFalcon Indeed, airguns are supported in iSnipe... Muzzle velocity must be over 500fps (152m/s) though.
