  • this is the most lovely card I have seen for a long time.....absolutely stunning!

I can't wait for my tattered florals die to arrive, mail is so slow coming from the US to Australia but they cost around $50 here so I am happy to wait.(all scrapping stuff is 2 to 3 times what US prices are)

the flowers were so simple yet very effective and I thought the technique of gluing on the mat and scrunching them into the glue was very clever..I am going to use that.

    thanks so much for sharing

  • @beckyluvstoscrapnsew Thank you so much for your sweet comments. You won't be disappointed in the die, you can do so much with it. I've more than paid for mine over and over.

  • omg. i love your work im sitting here for hrs, looking your videos, you are very talent!

btw i can know what you use for the center of the flower?

    thanks

    hugs

  • oh i see you mentioned its a limited edition friskars punch, i googled the hummingbird one and it looks sooo cute!!

  • @dnavee I want to go back and get the hummingbird - I didn't have time the other day. I hope he isn't gone. Cause these punches are limited. I found them at Tuesday Mornings if you have one anywhere near you. It was only $5.

  • I hope you were able to get your hummingbird. I went around the craft stores near me hoping to find one but they do not have them. :-(

  • oh my Tonya this card is so cute, love how you inked the little birds. and I love your shading tips...and yes congrats on winner Marion's challenge.wowo

  • @DecoratingMemories Thanks.

  • loved it great work also had a question

were did you get the stamps you used loved

    what it said.TFS

  • @my3girlz602 The stamp came from a local scrapbook store. But I know I've seen it written a bunch of different ways in other plays. I see it alot. Look at JoAnns or michaels.

  • @Psychomoms I meant other places. Sorry for the confusion

  • love this card...thanks for sharing. Into my favorites it goes.

  • @Lkailani Ahhh thanks.

  • Tonya...beautiful as always! Love the ideas and the tip on heating the hot glue with the heat gun to soften the wax...very cool!

  • @6645mesedge thanks.

  • That card is too cute!!! I love the flowers and the little birdie's!!! What stamp is that they are too sweet!!! SMILE!!!

  • @momascraps The bird punch is from Fiskars it was a limited addition last year. I'm not sure who makes the stamp, I got it from a local scrapbook store. There is no reference on it. You may try Inkadinkadoo or Stampendous. This store carries alot of their stamps.

  • Love how you made your own pearl swirls and the flowers are beautiful. TFS.

  • @td2596 Thanks.

  • Beautiful!

  • @ppaisley Thanks

  • wow beautiful!!!!~ birds remind me of my dear Daddy

  • @ThePaperCastle Thanks.

  • WOW! Beautiful!! I might need to scraplift this... would be a great Easter card! :)

  • @GoinCriCrAzY Go right ahead. I love that die cut, and have found sooo many uses for it.

  • Hey Tanya, Nice card. The colour of the front chipboard looks like its from mixed media. TFS

    ~Meiqi~

  • @iclassicful that is actually cards stock. You mean the birdcage or the entire card surface? I'm glad you like it, and I guess technically it all is mixed media since I used ink and paint.

  • Beautiful card, love everything you did!

  • I liked your video but miss you talking and telling us what you are doing.

  • @scrapbookgoddess67 Ahhh - I wont do all my videos this way. this card took almost 25 mins to make, so there was NO way I would make anyone endure that on YouTube. I've been wanting to do more start to finish projects, but they just take too long especially using paint. I promise you will hear my voice again!

  • Simply beautiful! Love the music too.

  • @pollysfrogs Thanks, I work to his music ALOT. It is very calming and inspires me creatively.

  • Beautiful!! TFS

  • @TheMSTARR thanks.

  • very nice card...love the way you did the pearls and funny I just bought a stamp set today with that quote.

    *gina*

  • @Scrappinology Love that quote with all the birds that are popping up. I love it. Thanks for the sweet comments.

  • WOW it's very cute

  • @manjar50 thanks.

  • Stunning card girl. I so want that punch now. TFS love it.

  • @Shonz14nw Thanks I just got it the other day, it is a fiskars punch - spring line (but last year's) it was on clearance for $5. I think I'm going to get the hummingbird one today. I really liked it too after I worked with it.

  • @Psychomoms That would be right lol. $5 thats unreal. Sulking here lol. Love that birdie one too. Take care girl.

  • @Shonz14nw I found at Tuesday Mornings, do you have one of those near you?

  • @Psychomoms lol no sweetie, im in New Zealand. There would be a stampeed if anything like that where here and you would hear us screaming from there. lol Just imagin a lioness fighting for her cubbs well that would be us grabbing what we want. lol It would be crazy.

  • @Shonz14nw PM me your address, I could punch some of those little critters out and mail them to you. then all your friends will be fluttering to your house for your birds!

  • Very nice card. I love how you did the flowers and the pearl swirls. You used so many different techniques and yet it came out beautiful. TFS

  • @EVL14512 thanks. I didn't want the card to be too bulky since I had to mail it. So I have found that the crepe paper streamers are awesome.

  • wow! great job

  • Beautiful card!! TFS!

  • @Shaina1105 Thanks.

  • beautiful card and i love how you did your flowers...

  • @bevbeach6801 Thanks.

  • @bevbeach6801 I like those kinds of flowers on cards - they don't weigh anything, and they aren't bulky since this card had to be mailed, I didn't want it to be too bulky.

  • beautiful card!! TFS

  • Tonya this tutorial is too cool! I really, really like how you colored the birds! Okay so now I am going to have to try and make my own bling with the pearl strands I have......lots of cool ideas. Music was beautiful too.

    Thanks so much, Sybil

  • @JandSib80 thanks. The little birds are a fiskars punch that I bought the other day. I really like it, I'm going back to get the hummingbird one now.

  • how beautiful. were did you get that stamp from..(tfs)louise

  • @mamajt4 i have had that stamp for a while. Most likely Local Scrapbook Store. I buy a lot of stamps from, but I have seen that saying on a lot of stamps. I bought that one because it fit on the punch.

  • love the way you created the swirls with the trim. beautiful card

  • @5RachyRach Thanks doesn't really show, but if you do that, make sure your heat gun is there. The first strip of hot glue cools fast. line up your pearls, then hit it with the heat gun to re-melt the glue underneath.

  • love the way you created the swirls with the trim. beautiful card

  • Love to watch how you made this beautiful card !! TFS -Ellen-

  • @LovetoScrap8 thanks.

  • that was very nice. great pearl work and flower technique. you are quite good with a glue gun. tfs.

  • @flirtini83 Thanks, it helps having the one with the small tip
