  • No One better than Jeff and Jimmy...wow

  • When did Jimmy and Jeff 'bury the hatchet'? I knew that Jeff was mad that Jimmy took his 'dazed and confused' and put that in Zep 1

  • Comment removed

  • 2:00-3:15 I mean seriously does a guitar lick get any better than that oh and yea while I'm in the mood F- Islam and the sell out femin azies that brought 'em to your shores

  • I think Beck was playing the Peter Gun Theme wrong. Supposed to be E-F#-G-A-Ab, not E-F#-G#-A-G#.

  • @tanukibrahma G# and Ab are enharmonic.

  • its sad to think that I'm gonna be alive when jimmy and jeff kick the bucket

  • Wow! Beck, and Page. I know the bassist is Tal Wilkenfeld, but who's playing drums and keyboard? A great video. Thanks for posting.

  • Jimmy is my favorite guitarist, his style and technique amazes me. But I won't diss Jeff Beck, he's a fantastic guitarist, he creates crazy sounds. What good does it do if people are talking bad about certain guitarists? Shut it and enjoy the music.

  • I think Jimmy Page should be named sexiest man alive I dont care how old he is

  • Very nice selection.

  • YAWN!

  • What guitar is Page Playing?

  • @supsailor1885 He's playing a Fender Electric XII. Pretty sweet instrument!

  • Jack White>Page and Beck

  • @analtechcorp now, youre just trying to piss people off an you know it...

  • @analtechcorp That has troll written all over it.

  • Cool jam with a couple of guitar heroes

  • who would dislike jimmy page & jeff beck

  • Jeff and Jimmy are BOTH brilliant guitarists, I don't care what anyone else thinks, I love them both! What's age got to do with music anyhow?

  • Before there was Satch or Vai or Yngwie....there was Jeff Beck. No plectrum, just a great guitarist. This man can make a six string sing down to your soul! Here...about 6:48 or so he proves it. Beck is simply awesome!

  • Doesn't that trumpet player work for Conan or Leno or Letterman or SNL or something? Bro looks so familiar.

  • Honestly not hating, but can some one please explain the appeal of Jeff Beck? This really is not impressive. Neither technically, emotionally or creatively.

  • @toolfan5566 OMG...have you heard some jeff's album? ...OMG! try to listen "you had it coming",or "who else"..this guy is a guitar gooood!

  • Jeff Beck must have earned a lot of money. How come he can't afford some decent clothes?

  • Oh dear... I can't believe they wheeled out Jimmy Page just to play rhythm guitar.

  • Tal is a beast on bass!

    ...and sexy in this way!

  • Why is he dressed like Peter Pan but all in white instead of green?

  • They are both 68 with or without shoe polish. Jimmy was born January 9, 1944. Beck was born June 24 the same year. They are both still amazing

  • Clapton should have been up there to finish off the trio, but way kool anyway.

  • kickcopper10-we older musicians are the best.

  • what beck mouths at the start:

"shit, i forgot what i was gonna play"

    lol

  • @qwerqwertrertrewqw Or, you just don't really know who he is and you are stating that anything you don't know is gay.

  • The song is much better when he plays it on a Les Paul.

  • Awesome! They are my heroes!

  • What kind of guitar is page playing??? anyone know?

  • @van440 Fender Electric XII (12)

  • ...and Beck & Clapton & Page all grew up in fairly close proximity. I've see all in concert several times and it was always worth 100x the money. Esp. Beck....amazing.

  • noobs

  • people please, page once was a great guitarrist, but he was never god.

beck, hendrix, clapton, allman are all waaay better than he ever was...

beck is a monster there are notes that only he can find in the guitar...

  • @pcmaranha1 You don't think Page isn't as good as Beck or Clapton? Dude, he's fucking at their level if not hight, Beck was even and influence on Jimmy, Jimmy influenced Beck. Fuck are you smoking?

  • @pcmaranha1 if page isn't god then how come 40 years later i still worship him everyday?

  • no toca un sorete jimmy page.hace la base nomas

  • For the youth just remember who started it all,and who can still do it,can you be as good, probably,if you put your "heart and soul" in it like us older ones,Play it baby Play it great!!!!

  • Hey Idiot, all Zeps stage shows were Improvised It wasn't about recreating what they did in the studio. You probably didn't know this but Page did a-lot of Heroine in the seventies that was what made him sloppy as so you say so STFU!

  • They've been knowing each other since 11!

  • I always liked Jimmy and ignored Jeff, but here Jeff, at the top of his game eats Jimmy for breakfast. Maybe it was Jeff's show and Jimmy didn't want to show off, but, well, Jimmy showed, but was shown off.

  • @flamencoprof Jeff is much better and always has been. Page is the most over rated player ever. Great studio stuff with Zep but he sucks live. Very sloppy .Jeff is so clean live , sorry but no contest here.

  • @flamencoprof well actually i can't find any videos of Jimmy soloing in like the last 10 years... i even saw a thing with other guitarists soloing and joe perry totally handed it over to him and there was just this empty space of him continuing on the rhythm and they just ended it..

  • @TheDilligan I think I will concede you have confirmed my slowly gathered impression.

  • weird seein Jimmy without a les paul

  • really? no page solo? still good but...

  • @MrBingping he is getting one tbf to him

  • @MrBingping on a 12 string?

  • @skate4koolaid yeah. ive done it so i KNOW page can. plus he does if u watch stairway live

  • 2009? I thought by Jeffs clothes it was the 80s

  • Jeff Beck, what a great player!!!

  • Eargasm

  • jeff beck simulating Robert Plant voice... Amazing...

  • 2 GODS OF GUITAR

  • so what...everybody gets old if GOD lets you...Page is still great,Beck too...

  • Jimmy's so oooold :/ If anyone could have physical immortality it should be him.

  • @Gibson1961SG wrote:

Old age is mostly a state of mind. Jimmy may have grey hair and be pushing toward 70, but he's still young inside.

    (Check that big smile;)

  • @Stoory

so true! check 4:50 and you'll see

  • @Stoory yeah hes like 65 or so

  • Actually both JB and JB were born in 1944!

  • FAN TAS TIC

  • Yes, I like it and Jeff Beck. Jimmy Page too as great guitarist (my hero).

  • Metallica after this? What a joke. They are not fit to wipe the dust off the boots of Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.

  • Comment removed

  • There's Jimmy and Jeff - but who the f... wants to see Metallica after that. What a shitty organisation

  • good god damn, vinnies drums sound so big and good!!

  • So amazing

  • What kind of guitar is that Jimmy is playing?

  • @justfine77777

An old Fender 12 string. Hideous isn't it?

  • @chooseyourblues indeed!

  • @chooseyourblues No its not jimmy makes it sound good u ass

  • Jeff Beck is a Legend.......Jimmy Page is the GOD!!!!

  • @betttola bullshit

  • @betttola Other way around my friend. Beck was wanted by Pink Floyd (too in awe to even ask him to join) & The Stones. He has worked with everyone from Roger Waters< Mick Jagger, & Jon Bon Jovi to Wynonna, Cyndi Lauper, & Luciano Pavarotti. He is IMHO the most versatile as his own career has spanned various genres. Beck GOAT

  • @betttola Too bad the "God' had to steal the intro to "Bolero" and put it in "How Many More Times" and not even credit JB...one of his closest friends. Of the first three zep albums 90% of the songs were written by other people that were never credited, actually Page took credit for writing them. This was not cool. Doesn't take away how incredible of a player he was..just as a writer..not so much. Stairway to Heaven is also stolen.

  • @gl797 Page performed on the studio version, he also claims credit for its compostiion and was not crediteed ont he original, Who knows what the case is, if they wrote it together or was it just Beck or just Page, He definetly didnt steal it if he was a co wirter or writer. But he has stolen some shit loads of riffs thats for sure but this one may actually be his or part his, so it deffo aint as bad as the thieving of Davy Graham or Bert Jansch that he did.

  • @theblahman Good point. What's strange is imo the songs that he actually did write (Kashmir, Achilles Last Stand for ex.) are some of the best songs ever recorded. I think Zep may have been coerced a bit by greedy record execs., and once they realized that they were bigger than the label they took total control.

  • @gl797 ok. stairway is not stolen. there is proof he wrote it one night with plant. ive read a book about them where they describe it happening.

  • @OpethTheater3 That's one side of the story, the other side is a song named "Taurus" by the band "Spirit", Listen to it, it was recorded before "Stairway to Heaven".The kicker is that "Spirit" backed up "Led Zep" and played the song on stage. There's lots of info about this on YouTube and Google. Please don't shoot the messenger people..I don't like it anymore than you do.

  • @gl797 common riff pal .. spirit got it from davey grahams cry me a river .. do some research first asshole.. and even crows "thoughts".. page added an ascending melody and made the riff beautiful.. its boring as fuck in the others.. long live the mighty zeppelin!

  • @Gettheledoutstyle LOL Go fuck yourself. Common stolen riff then..Pal

  • @gl797 right back at ya pussy and its true but page actually made it interesting and did something with the riff .. do some homework first before trying to disgrace a guitar god that influenced so many guitarists.. you naive prick dont wanna look stuff up first. just believe whatever you see ..

  • @Gettheledoutstyle Boston Mass, anytime, anyplace..you can show me what a pussy I am :)

  • @gl797 what a tough guy! cocksucker..

  • @Gettheledoutstyle .maybe you should look it up, just type in "Led Zeppelin Plagiarism" and then take your pick of one of the 10 videos that pop up. You should have said a guitar god that was influenced by so many. Watch one video then come back and spew more of your tough guy act, I guess the other 30 FUCKING SONGS were a coincidence too huh? Now get off of that computer..your mom needs to use it..LOL U= LOSER!

  • @gl797 yea and examples like whole lotta love.. still pages riff just the lyrics were blues based.. they had little time to get together on first album.. also i blame peter grant yea there were times they didnt credit right but zeppelin has a musical collection of songs that are legendary that most are original.. some were covers and some were standards that were used by other musicians.. not as simple as you think it is youtube wannabe gangster

  • @Gettheledoutstyle "youtube wannabe gangster" LOL you should write comedy. I guess you missed where I said that the songs that he did write were his best, Kashmir,etc.. I don't have any problem with Jimmy Page..he is one of the top 3 guitarists of all time imo. Every song that they did re-do is easily the best version of it.

  • @gl797 yea but you are speaking the obvious.. kashmir is to me the finest riff ever recorded.. the problem is you are looking at videos that i admit have some truth to them because of peter grant more than anything BUT the people that love to hate zeppelin are going to hate and are going to put up examples for things like stairway that are a ton more complicated than simply taurus.. its lazy as well to not research more on the issue..

  • @Gettheledoutstyle Fuck the haters. I love Led Zep..it's between them and Sabbath for me. Don't let the haters waste your time, nothing will ever stop them. If people can't see the genius of Zep..especially Jimmy Page, then ..screw 'em.

  • Fuck yes Beck is awesome as :) And so is Tal :P

  • Becks outfit makes him look like an old asian transvestite.

    His playing is awsome though.

  • I think I just exploded

  • The Jeff Beck group was thinking of names for the band at which time Keith Moon, (the percussionist from The Who) was heard to say that the whole thing would go over like a "lead zeppelin." Jimmy Page can play what ever guitar he wants to and with who ever he wants to. He was a master in the studio, and Jeff Beck was also a wizard, as is Tal.

  • 5:29 That's right crowd, shut up and respect Jeff Beck.

  • haha page is looking more like quentin crisp every day and wtf was his les paul he was playing some crappy 12 string crap

  • @shredmaster100 He used the 12 string on Beck Bolero when he helped record it back in the 60s.

And since he also used said guitar on "Stairway", I don't think you're in any position to call it crappy.

  • thought he used a 12 string acoustic on the studio verion of stairway and a telecaster for the solo either way i think its an ugly guitar les paul would have been a better choice

  • @shredmaster100 pfft

  • Jeff Beck is right there with the greatest of all time. Jeff Beck is a rock pioneer.

    .

  • I wonder if Jeff's fingers have any joint problems. I could try to play with such intensity myself...but...my flesh will say 'f^&k off' after a few seconds and they will open up and spit blood at me...literally speaking. ^^ I wish he uses some picks again in a few songs.

  • Amazing piece of master hit. Jimmy and Jeff playing again with greate intensity Jeff if fabulous and Jimmy is cohesive as he can.

  • Master Mr Jeff Beck, shows Deep is s*t and so JH*x. He, he..he.

  • Anyone familiar with Space Boogie?

I must have been the last person to discover that Gem.

Anyway, maybe you will also like the tracks I attached below,

    check it out.

  • Beck's bass player is BADASS!!

  • Man that bolero is KICK ASS!

  • omigod, Page is using one of those ugly Fender twelve-strings - the only other performer I've EVER seen using one was Johnny Winter at Woodstock, but he strung it with the standard 6 strings only - hmm, maybe they're good for something, easier to play with a wider neck -

  • some good old mates havin' a wonderful time

  • Jimmy should've played the twelve string for Beck's Bolero

  • lol i can bend to your needs

  • I just went to church...The Church of Beck.

  • cool

  • Somebody was belittling Eric Clapton saying he was'nt in Jimmy Page and Jeff Becks league. As someone who was around when these guys appeared on the scene I can tell you that was the more influential guitarist. Before Clapton raised awareness of the blues through his albums with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Cream by ampiing it up with Marshall stacks it was little known by white audiences. Suddenly the coloured players in the US started to make money and were finally recognised. Esp Hendrix.

  • Jeff Beck is a highly technically skilled guitarists guitarist who has'nt had the same level of success and fame (outside the world of guitar nuts) as Jimmy Page who is a innovative and versatile composer and player who's music has much more immediate appeal. They are both brilliant in different ways. Personally I would love to see them both. As Led Zep dont look look like getting back together how about it guys?

  • @franklinrwful the problem with jeff beck is that he screwed his only chance to be in a great band. had the first incarnation of the jeff beck group with nick hopkins, rod stewart and ron wood never broken up, it could've been as huge as Led Zeppelin themselves.

  • @Luxmaxnike

I respectfully disagree. Jeff Beck IS a great band no matter who he plays with. While all the other guitar greats tend to lose their abilities with age to some degree, Jeff keeps getting better and better.

  • Jeff was always better, Jimmy was good but not amazing.

  • tal you are amazing!

  • This brings us back to the days of the Yardbirds.

  • como el pico beck, la verdad es mas sucio que page. Si alguien es mas sucio que Page, puta el wn pal pico de sucio po wn!

  • its funny because Mr. Page wrote both of those songs =)

  • who is Jimmy Page, NO ONE could compete with Beck now.

  • @purpledave100 That's because Page is a band guitarist with no band. Beck is a solo guitarist, and he has fingers. So it's obvious who is better off at the moment.

  • the first time I saw Tal had make-up... hehehe ^^

  • 2:22 Jimmy Page's crotch is itching

  • I like the bass player

  • @circleseverywhere Tal Wilkinson is only 12 u beast!!

  • @irena7777777 I didnt ask for id

  • The solo Jeff does is very similar to the solo Jimmy used to do for Immigrant Song back in 1972

  • it's a very goooood song,

    FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK

    SUIS MOI SUR FACEBOOK

  • So weird to see Jimmy with that Fender..

  • jimmy IS having fun,,, like it!!

  • underrated? how silly. he is renowned, and universally considered to be among the best electric guitarists who have ever lived.

  • well Im a young girl with the most incredible smile

  • essential beck

  • If I didn't know what the dust really means I would say Beck was taking a strip off of Page by annihilating his rendition with this one. Freakin rips away into aural Stratosphere.

Like Hendrix that guitar was built for Beck. Page on his best day could not top this work. Sorry just saying. And I was a Led fan in my day. But seriously Beck goes beyond. Just rocks.

  • This is what 'Rock' refers to. Only one Jeff Beck.

  • yeah but he needs to consider getting some sleeves

  • Amazing Amazing Amazing! and Tal so beautiful!

  • this is more fusion than rock and roll, it is cool to see Jimmy out there smiling and having a good time. jeff beck is no slouch, love Truth

  • Two great masters together

  • Jeff Beck, previously of the Yardbirds, (of which Clapton was a member) puts Eric Clapton where he belongs...in the catagory of extremely good musicians who nevertheless, revere their betters. This includes, most emphatically, Jeff Beck. If my style of writing leaves anyone wondering what the hell I'm talking about, it's that Jeff Beck kicks Clapton's ass, minus the drama over women. Jeff Beck, Jeff Beck, Jeff Beck!

  • Damn. That. Was. Awesome.

  • Decades of brilliant innovation, way out front, there's Jeff, charting the way.

  • Beck is one of those musicians like SRV, or Neil Young that plays for the LOVE of the music, not MONEY!

  • Jeff is somewhat chamanic on his style... when I think about a musician who just loves and feels what he's playing, this guy comes to my mind

  • Tal Wilkenfeld nailed this.

  • my boys were so exited metalica was being induct, there old fart of a dad had been telling them about jeff beck there whole lives like most kids they thought there dad did know squat, until matalica had to follow this act.and then listen to each matalica member give homage to MR.BECK probably one of my best days in a long time LOL

  • realy cool jam

  • but you still gotta love theese dudes still jamin

    now press two

  • jimmy page came out lookin funny than a bitch it must be this weed that shit had me laughing too hard 3:31

  • One of my all time favourite songs....... Btw, it's an honour they are friends and respect one another so much to jam together after so many years. I love this. THANK YOU for posting this. I wish, I wish I could go see him again.

  • jimmy page played rythm because jeff was inducted to rock and roll hall of fame and he jimmy inducted jeff

  • Jeff scheint einfach nicht älter werden zu wollen. Na gut, die Haare sind zumindest gefärbt...Rock ON!

  • And I JUST LOVE Jimmy Pages 12 string Fender!

  • 0:11 I forgot the pedal?

  • great playing as always but wtf is Beck wearing? He looks like Crissie Hynde. Dude, come on.

  • Jeff you are immence ...you are magic
