Traika43: Canada hasn't been invaded for 200 years. We have no natural enemies and there is no country outside of the US with the military capability to invade a country of our size and remote location (globally speaking). Plus any country considering it knows that they end up fighting the US, who would definitely defend North America. An elite force of 10,000 would be enough for a presence.

Yes we need them , what if canada gets directly attacked? whos gonna watch our country? in my opinion all the goverment's money should go to the military

Don't you mean 50 000 direct jobs + every indirect job connected in some way? How is that going to be replaced? and with what?
