@floozy2007 She didn't commit suicide. The legend they were talking about before she jumped is that if the person makes it to the bottom of the falls unscathed, then their wishes come true. The ending is supposed to be optimistic.

@floozy2007 Well still that was a myth, and she did commit suicide, she didnt feel like she belonged anywhere, so she jumped off the cliff. Although, that is as far as the movie is concerned. In the book that the movie is adapted from, she lives, ends up pregnant with Lo's son, and raises him alone out in the country. I like the movie ending better, just because it's so sad it gives me goosebumps.
