  • But of course it has low fear factor. You think American (The land of the brave and immortals) soldiers would be afraid of that?

Maybe it's because when americans see something they never saw before, they try to eat it.

This whole Top 10 list is crap. Aside from american helicopters, they threw a german, russian and british chopper from no.6 downwards

  • focke. focke. fucke. fucke. FUCKER

  • Focke the Westland Lynx, the Fockeing "Focke-Achgelis FA223 Drache" helicopter should be Number 9.

    Jokes

  • HEIL HITLER!

    卍卍卍卍卍卍卍

  • @KEUNGWHITETIGER Obvious troll is obvious.

  • Looks like the older version of the helicopters seen in Transformers 3.

Yeah I'm new to the whole Helicopter shinanigan thing, so excuse me for sounding like a noob.

  • @ZGzoids

You're probably referring to the V22 Osprey, the one that can tilt the rotors forward and turn into a plane.

  • @1337soldiahs yeah I think that's it the Osprey with the moving rotors, yeah that's it.

  • focke sounds like FUCK

  • @lamestbiokinectic Wow, thought of that all by yourself, huh?

  • For some reason I can hear that slightly nasal voice trying to sell me a car.. Random, I know.

  • @DPpictures But true, very true.

  • Did he just say fucker at 0:03? Lol I know it's the company name

  • its a focke you fucker. lol

  • wow. almost all german companies in WW2 were called fuck. focke wulf, focker, focke achgelis.

  • @everythingman987 ... BMW, Rheinmetall, Porsche, Henschel, Fiesler, Heinkel, Dornier, Junkers ... wtf are you talking about?

  • @everythingman987 The only other one was the weapons manufacturer Krupp which might sound a bit like crap

  • Man those Nazis if we let them work away then they would have conquered the world

    Helicopter by the 30's wow

  • 0:03 fucker lol

  • ÁNGEL LA PARTE!!!

    HOLA VANE

  • i would have run away when the drache crossed my way. Having a airframe that can stand still in the air, terrible to imagin

  • That is both funny and scary looking... o_o how is its fear factor so low!?

  • i love germans becaus they are good in weapon but they abuse there power

  • it looked like a twin rotored hippie XD

  • German engineering always rocked and will always rock in the future too - just look at their cars and other modern stuff that they produce and you'll see that they are leading manufacturers today as well

  • lol at 0:02 i thought he said f*cker

  • focke sounds like fucker

  • @killer5000ii Right :) Its so funny how he Pronounces "Focker-Achgelis Flugzeugbau" :) its more like Flewgzoigbow, not Flewgzoigbo :D

  • The Germans did not invent the machine gun, tank, shotgun, slide action pistol, grenade launcher, semi-automatic rifle, etc. The Germans may have invented many of the modern warfare weapons but most of things I listed were American invented. (excluding the tank of course the Brits have that one)

  • @xlifeispointlessx yeah kinda makes me wonder how many German scientist we stole from the NAZI's after the Americans closed in and with the help of the brits and soviets in order to build our own A-Bomb that we used in Japan 4-5 months later, coincidence, hardly not, that we used some of the german technology for our own purposes of building the A-Bomb I believe it without a doubt.

  • @xlifeispointlessx right we never invented these things but in most cases there was just a concept and the germans brought it to a useable status for example the jet engine or the bolt action rifle. and also if you say the tank was developed by the brits thats right but the first country that used tanks in the way they can show their strength was germany.

  • @0nkelD0kt0r Actually we did invent most of those if you ever decide to look it up. For several of these yes, the Germans made the MG very popular with their own designs. However the semi auto rifle was American designed and made popular with the M1 Garand. Same for the true nade launcher, shotgun and slide action pistol. Before you say anything else the USMC was one of the first to employ dive bombing, the Germans took the concept and popularized it.

  • @xlifeispointlessx ya exactly what i sayed. the germans didnt invent that much but often the inventors of sime things either didnt go far enough or (mostly for military inventions) the country they lived in didnt bring these inventions to actual use.

for example the jet engine was invented by a british engineer but no one took this concept and made a plane engine out of it. at least not in great britian but the germans took the concepts and made the first jet fighter, the Messerschmitt Me 262

  • @xlifeispointlessx and the helicopter is another example for that. the first helicopter concept was thought out by leonardo davinci. many engineers tried to construct a helicopter from then but the germans were the first that invested money in that project.

i think thats because germany was left behind in economy and industry in the 19th century and from then they always kept looking for technologies that could bring them on top.

  • while the world are still experimenting helicopter , the germans already use it for military operations

  • German war research and technology was basically the foundation for modern warfare, they basically invented maneuver warfare and every innovation from Assault Rifles,Attack Helicopters,Jet Fighters and ICBM's can be traced back to them.

  • the germans had the coolest tech.

  • all Germans are vermins! they suck

  • @dimitboris those vermins greated first intercontinental missiles, first assault rifle, first jet fighter and to that they occupied the half of fucking europe.

  • @dimitboris Yeah, Germans prejudice alot, don't they?

  • @DaKoksi yes but it was mistake in ww2 germany wont do it if it wasnt because of that piece of govno or shit hitler!!!!!!!! germans wont be bad yes your right they wasted a lot of money those nazis but they got their ass whipped in western front and russians on the east to bad but its all history now past is past

  • you mother focke lol

  • This is the vehicle that would be in avatar if it was made in the 50s

  • It's great to see something good come out of this war. All the technology :-)

  • lolz dont kill me for this but the way the computerized voice said it....lolz thats funny

  • his last flight went on guard from Germany to England

  • i give this airframe the credit it deserves but still, because it couldnt fly as high as regular aircraft it was just a BIG FAT target for AA fire

  • All Helicopters are big fat targets. Imagine if the Russians were supplying the Taleban with High Tech shoulder fired missiles like the US did in the 1980's, what would be the US attrition rate would be in the Middle east.

  • @brendonnz1964

    dude, learn to spell.

and no. the Russians are against the taliban. get your head out of your ass and look at the facts, all US helicopters carry some sort of flares or chafe. the biggest threat now are RPG-7's and those can be avoided if theyre seen early enough. seriously, look at the facts before you comment

  • Can you lot stop taking the piss out of German names?

For all you know your surname means "inbred" in German.

That's the Germans for you though; always innovating.

They pioneered jet fighters, helicopters, submarine wolfpack warfare, the 3 round burst, air independant propulsion & many other things... Don't really wanna fight them, frankly.

  • They also held their own against no less than three major world powers for over 5 years.

  • @iammishahearmeroar

Forgot about that, thank you for pointing it out :-)

  • wtf thid germany have helicopters in ww2 i didnt know that.!?

  • Actually the first prototypes flew several years before ww2. ;-)

  • There was only 11 of these made, if you wikipedia it it says so.

  • Fear factor was is low? is sixty years ahead of its time. There were almost no helicopters that the average soldiers would see. And it was nicknamed the dragon.

p.s. The show Dragontails had not been aired or created, so nobody would think that it may be a friendly dragon.

  • maybe because it hadnt any armament...

  • Thats German pride there :)

  • Focke.......it's a pretty unfortunate name when you think about it

  • What does that mean in German btw?

  • i thought he said fucka...

  • yea me 2 xD

  • He did say "fucka", but it was spelled differently, and it meant something different.

  • amazing !!! impressive how i always find something i wasnt expecting about the german war machine

  • Those Germans man, if they didn't run out of soldiers didn't lose finances they could have easily won the war

  • So true , they had everything

  • Yes especially the resources and facilities of a conquered Europe.

  • Kward107, if not the lack of soldiers and money, Poland could have started and won the 2WW.

  • No the german engineering was way ahead of it's time.

By the end of the war the nazi's had jet planes. But before they could see combat the allieds were on the doorsteps of germany.

  • If the air ministry had not been obstructing sir Frank Whittle the Brits could have had jet fighters in 1939.

  • if not the lack of soldiers and money, Vatican would have won the WW2

  • did he just say fucker, i mean a name with fucker in it has to be great

  • looks like the v-22 osprey

  • "looks like the v-22 osprey"

yeah but built before over 60 years :)

  • The Dragon is my favorite helicopter.

  • Survivability is small? it was never shot down? stupid bias yank dipshit.

  • It was shot down. My Grandfather has pictures of what he called," Weird Hovering Bugs with Nazi symbols" He had shot one down with a Flak Cannon it had light armor plating for the time. Although it was great at hiding. I do agree it was a GREAT invention probably a very revolutionary step towards modern Helicopters.

  • That's almost like an Osprey.

  • notice how he said nazis suck, not germans

  • Low fear factor? Dude, if I saw that coming at me in the 1940's I would be scared to death...

  • lol same. i'd shit my pants. but after the first couple minutes of it not firing i'd wipe myself and start shooting at it. so... yeah :P

  • Me too I woundn't know what I should do either and it also had a machione gun on so it could still rip people apart.

  • @Aperson156 haha lol yea

  • @Aperson156 well if it's not shooting at you it probably not going to be much of a problem

  • @ARKSOLDIER7

It's the same concept as roman war elephants.

They didn't do much...and they were easy to take down, however, people had never seen them before and were scared shitless.

  • @Aperson156

it had to otherwise the american chopper cannot be on the first place

  • ur dumb beyond words. why dont you take awhile n think of what you've just suggested: slaughter of MILLIONS. fucking racist trash

  • racist bitch

  • This was the basis for the V-22 tilt rotor aircraft used by the Marines today.

  • I have some more footage of this chopper plus the Flettner Choppers in combat here:

    watch?v=6SrUyNG4fYA

No-one probably noticed but the jet-tip Doblhoff chopper of 1940 briefly appears in the above clip of the Fa-223

  • Nazis suck but they seriously had the best engineers. For example the NASA and also the space technology of the Soviets was based on the knowledge of german scientists like Wernher von Braun who were brought to the USA and the Soviet Union after WW2. The SaturnV moon rocket was developed by von Braun and the other german scientists.

  • @HingerlAlois USA and the Soviet Union took a lot of knowledge from German engeneers(please consider not all Germans have been Nazis back then) after NAZI-Germany was defeatet. Think about the turbine propelled airplanes, or the onewinged airplane design.

  • @DaKoksi

    I am German^^

Yes Germans like Wernher von Braun or Hans von Ohain had a huge influence on the development of missiles, jet fighters, the NASA rockets etc. in the USA.

Recently I watched an interview with Paul Bevilaqua (a video on the Lockheed website), the guy who invented the lift system of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II and he said "in school I learned how to move the pieces, and Hans [von Ohain] taught me how to play chess"^^

  • @HingerlAlois they also made a flying wing 'stealth' aircraft. look for Horton Ho. 229

  • @HingerlAlois please, the nazi ideology doesn't suck, beacuse this ideology hate the comunism, the shit of the world.the only bad thing of this politic movement is which they hated the jews and they killed them.i'm sorry for this, but i think hitler would have to hate Arabs...

  • i like the name the FOCKE-ACHGELIS FA223 DRACHE

  • If the war had started later Germans would have attack helicopters, they would of looked like the chinook.

  • Like a chinook? They already had these and had machine guns fitted in the nose. They also had external benches fitted on the outriggers on the Fa-223 so they could have mounted machine guns and used them like hueys. The problem was largely production delays due to bombing of the factories since the Fa-223 flew in 1940, before Sikorsky got his primitive junk off the ground.

  • nein, they were not focused to be used in the war. nor were there plans for mass poductions.

  • Are you talking about the fa-223 or something else?

The fa223 was being put into mass production as were the flettners.

  • They had more Helicopters like the Flettner FI-282 Kolibri, which was one manned.

  • damn those germans were, and still are, gooood

  • dang 20 years before we started, they had a Helicopter already LOL!

  • Me-262, Me-163, V-1, V-2, V-3, V-4, Goliath mini tank and now this!?! Germany was 20 yers befor its Time!

This is what i call Vergeltungswaffe.

  • German's are very advance in the 1940's.

  • They determined the way the recent battlefield looks like. They even invented guided Air-to-Air missiles.

  • The Germans had some incredible technological and scientific genuis during the war..

Lucky for us those and many other weapons didn't make it into mass production lol.

They were lightyears ahead of anything else

  • That thing was really very advanced compared to american or british technology. Belive it or not I live just 2 miles away were they built. The old folks in town said they should have built more. lol

  • yea i didn't know about the german helicopters. but i know about the japanese anti sub helis

  • wow!I never know they had Helicopters in ww2.

  • What are the bombs for? The whole point of bombs are to drop really fast...

  • Great clip, thanks!

  • deutsche technik wieder mal, nur das potenzial wurde vom Heereswaffenamt nicht so wirklich erkannt

  • thanck you for the good video can you try to get some more i love them

  • thanks.

  • Oh nvm, its back, had no sound on Youtube for a few minutes.
