  • Lol hold your ball in your tossing hand.. This guy is left handed, I am right handed, does that make a difference with these instructions?

  • Many of the things this guy explains, he doesn't really understand what he explains.

he shows you a way to stand, but it could be the worst way for a certain person to stand in a serve. he shows you a windshield wiper forehand, but he doesn't understand its a forehand only good for a certain grip, and certain height of contact. even though many of the tips are correct, I recommend getting a real coach and not a virtual one like here .

  • U changed ur haircut so fast :D

  • wish u used someone else ,other than Tim !!

  • I See U R a fedtard indeed...

  • wow after this amazing lesson I'll sure have a better serve than federer

  • caca

  • sapati o fantana

  • Hmm I've been taught a different foot position for serve. back foot paraller with base line and front foot facing directly the base line.

  • That is one great racket

  • You've got my racket!

  • @medsoluk What model is this racket?

  • @hailenders I think it's K Factor - Six.One 95

  • Comment removed

  • @medsoluk It looks like an awesome racket but it's not for everyone.

    Do you play frequently tennis?

  • @hailenders Usually about 3-5 times a week.

  • dirty lefty

  • I have never played tennis before but planning to start...should I take professional classes or can I just tennis on my own since the classes are pretty expensive where i live ??

  • That is exactly how I stand when I am at a party ^_^

    Great vids, thank you.

  • nice...that's federer's racket. KFactor.

  • Lol 5 minutes ago I bought a new racket. And I pushed a random Tennis vid...he has the same racket xD

  • lol @ party stance as you might talk to someone at a party with your feet like that

    best laugh all day

  • If you want to become a GREAT TENNIS PLAYER (match player), go to my channel: ( 2knowfun2 ) and watch the video: World Class Tennis (Part1/2). I have designed this tennis video in a very unique way and it is for all levels. When you have watched and mastered both my videos (part 1 and part 2), you will become a Great Match Player.

  • Yeah I love how it's left-handed

easier for us lefties to follow for a change

  • i don't :( still good tips

  • and you hold the ball like a (c) throw it over your head

  • iits wilson and yeah me too cuz im a leftyy

  • what racquet is he using?

  • K Six.One Tour 90 by Wilson

  • Itd be nice if he was a righty considering most people are right handed.

  • well it's better for me since im a lefty (:

  • Your not suppost to clutch the ball, like how you hold a baseball.

You want to hold the ball out in your hand, like a samurai master asking you to snatch the pebble, and when you throw it up, just push the ball up, dont throw it.

  • I love your instructional videos, they're great to follow for a beginner like me :D Thanks so much!

  • thanks for this video :))

  • i see i always hold it with my palm maybe that's why it flies so high

  • question-when he serves to the right, should he turn his feet position to the right,or should he keep the same position- right foot 45 degrees to the baseline?

  • i don't agree with or use that stance... but changing your feet to point the way you are going to serve would be a dead giveaway and a bad idea. you change your aim with your toss prefferably

  • everyone serves different though

  • Everyone has different idiosyncrasies but the fundamental elements of the shot are the same from pro to pro.

  • how do u recomend hitting the ball faster? shud we snap the wrist harder?

  • Where do you stand near the baseline for singles? Where would be an ideal spot?

  • Great vids... To the point...

  • To add - knee must be relaxed and acting like a soft spring! Without flexible knee (in particular front one) moving flexibly with the movements, nothing will work and develop NATURALLY.

Next time see others while practise serving between soft and stiff knees.

  • What I would really like is an instructional video on high backhand volleys. Pros can NAIL high backhand volleys. I slice mine too much. I want to know if I should change my grip for high volleys, etc. Everything.

  • Do you renew you racket every year? or you stick with them? My coach told me racquet made with graphite wear out after a while, depending on how hard the player hit. Almost all racquet are made out of graphite. I don't know if my coach statement is true or not.

  • this is commonly called the party stance, because it is very similar to how you would stand if you were talking to somebody at a party... hahaha

  • As fantastic as this video and this series of serving videos is on how to serve properly its important to note that you dont need to concentrate on getting every little thing right at the start. Get the basics right first and move on from there adding as much as you can when you can. Your only human remember, not a robot so dont worry if it takes a while. Practice makes perfect.

  • Ur one awesome teacher! thx so much this lesson helped me tonz!

  • haha look at the date of the video and youll know why hes wearing that year outfit lol

  • Ya I know him. He's a pretty big tool =p

  • U guys need to stop hating on this dude he is trying to teach u guys how to play tennis !

  • oh never mind lol:)

  • i can,t reach a serve speed to 180 km or 200 km like andy roddick .

my technique is not bad at all

i throw the ball high in the air and make a backswing hit the above my shoulder and ends across to my hip but not hard

i want create a weapon on my flat serve.

    greets

  • First, I am sure you're not as coordinated, nor as powerful as Roddick when serving.

You probably don't do all this stuff as perfectly as you can and you surely don't push as hard as possibly can.

Practice my friend, Andy been throwing the ball for more than 10 years.

They can correct your movement, but it's up to you to get the feeling and to push it.

  • i am also playing more as 10 year tennis

and i staying at the same level i am an advantage player but i want to reach higher level i think i must need a good tennis teacher who can teach me good technique i played against a 14 year old boy he was two level highert as i lost 6-3 6-0 on clay but i never trained on claycourt

his spin goes two meters in the air and when i hit flat the ball is going out i don,t have any wheapon on clay i must learn how to hit extreme spin balls.

    greetings

  • nvm i'm dumb

  • DAMN IT!!! anybody know a right handed player that can teach how to serve? i'm not saying this guys not good just saying like all the tennis teachers on utube are leftys(the ones i've seen)

  • Just reverse the concept.

  • this post made my day

  • lol fuzzy yellow balls

  • my teacher is a bum next to this guy!

  • hey,i am using k six one tour too

    nice

  • THX YO!

  • I need this guy in my life!!!! why can't i get a coach as good as he is? He does an excellent job at teaching....

  • lovely

  • thank you for showing me that now i know how to serve correct:)

  • me gusto el vídeo me enseño a mejorar la técnica espero que lancen versiones en español por favor

  • great

  • Awesome instruction. I know now what I was doing wrong and how I can improve it. Thank you for keeping the instruction simple. Some of the other tennis videos have instructions, but not with details at every step of the way.

  • Why do some people hold the tennis ball NOT in the throat of the racquet?

I notice some of the professional players hold the ball on the head of the racquet or sometimes on top of the racquet during the service motion.

  • Personally, I hold it in the throat, but I've seen players hold it more into the head, and on the strings.

From what I know, it's pure choice, whatever feels comfortable. An effective serve is one that flows. One that flows is on that is natural. So I guess that's why?

  • Thanks!
