  • Roa...Is so much like M J xD

  • You will fear my 18th death! MY 18th REINCARNATION!

  • this is how tsukihime should have ended Arc turns into type-moon and erases Roa ^_^

  • has the game out as yet for the pc ?

  • I wonder if Shiki could see her lines after she turned into Type-Moon.

  • no he cant

  • okay, that song playing when he was fighting Arcueid was bad... ass...

I can't wait for the OST.

  • Roa only has one event battle? Sucks for him.

  • Actually no. One event is as far as a bastard like Michael Roa Valdomjong can go, especially when hunted down by the very woman he crippled.

  • Dead Apostles like Primate Murder required 7 Counter Guardians just to restrain it. Astrouge is obviously stronger than Servants. I don't even have to talk about Crimson Moon. Zelretch was an obvious one. You can't kill a Tatari in normal circumstances.

Side note: Why do you think the Church is willing to cooperate with other Dead Apostles and not Arcueid?

Tokie is Shiki's first time, but he said he's a virgin during Akiha route? Why is it?

  • Altrouge is like Arc probably, but we have NO idea what she can even do. She defeated Arc, but she lost to Roa, who now has become decrepit. Crimson Moon, an almighty being, was defeated by Zelretch, a human, cause he had an unexpected ability he used well.

Tatari is a unique case among freaks, but UNKILLABLE=!undefeatable (since Shiki and Sion stop him)

And the Church does cooperate with Arc. When Roa first became a vampire, it took Arc and Church full frontal assault.

    And Shiki IS a virgin.

  • It's surprising to me that Shiki is a virgin, since he could potentially get more ass than a toilet.

So you're saying that the sex scene in Tsukihime was a waste of time?

    An...incredibly...hot...waste of time...?

  • He is definitely a virgin when Tsukihime starts...

After that, it's your choice and convoluted continuity issues.

  • hmm... point taken.

I'm no Type-Moon expert, but it still is extremely neat how different they make different series and tie them together in depth... That's pretty badass.

Just too bad there's no ACTUAL clarity about the routes he REALLY took... At least we know Shiki at least KNOWS those people, haha...

  • Actually, no. Shiki is not virgin. His first experience was Tokie Jinan

  • As I said, NO ending really works, since Shiki is commited to noone.

What happened is the events of Arc's and Ciel's routes, PLUS encountering and killing Satsuki (which happpens outside of them). That's why it's a mess. I'd actually prefer that NO route is canon, each one is just as significant.

I prefer to think of Melty Blood as a reboot.

Plus, it will be at least 2 and a half year till the remake is out...

  • Melty Blood takes a bit off everything from all the route, really. Sacchin goes vampire but doesn't get killed, Hohaku lives and gets over the... events of the past, Hisui turns joke character, and Akiha, Ciel and Arcuied continue to kick each others' posteriors. Meanwhile, Neco Arc comes in, reckon that there isn't enough batshit insanity, and takes a front seat.

  • Don't forget Neco Arc Chaos.

George Nakata MEOWing around is awesome.

  • Hmm, explaining it all takes some time.

    You should replay Ciel's route.

Long story short, he was obsessed with Arcueid, and the only way he ever got close tyo her was by stealing her power and making her hate him (hence she keeps hunting him).

  • Maybe I should just wait for the remade. I will understand the storyline a lot more since they will include a Sacchin route (Isn't it great, Sacchin?) I predict she will have 2 routes as well since this game based off of Sacchin good ending. BTW, do you know the good character ending theme of the game (Sacchin, Arcueid, Tohno Shiki, Hisui, Kohaku)? BTW, in this game, is Roa a TATARI as well since he was killed in every route, including the nonexistence Sacchin route?

  • Actually, the game is not based on a sacchin good end or any end. Nasu proclaims 'nearly everything in Tsukihime happened, just Shiki not choosing a girl', which is kinda stupid since one of the main themes in Tsukihime was Shiki doing everything for his most important person. It's a mess of 'all was canon'. Sacchin route WON'T clear things up, just enjoy it on it's own.

As for all the seeminly dead characters returning, it's DUE to Tatari at some extent.

  • I beg the difference, Nasu mentionned in a doujin anthology about Ciel (月の彼方、永遠の眼鏡 TYPE-MOON作品集) that Melty Blood was written using the events after the "Satsuki Normal End".

  • Protip: More of a Joke answer. Nasu's statements sometimes do that. Also, Satsuki's normal end will suck IMO if the logical result is Melty Blood's backround and character relationships.

Anyway, till the ACTUAL route comes out, I suggest you do not take facts about NON-existant things in face value.

Also, Handsome Nick's Useless English Lessons: it's 'I beg to differ'.

Final Funny Fact: Neco-Arc is stronger than Normal Arc, according to Nasu.

  • Yeah! You're right. I should wait till the game comes out before decide for myself which is the real ending. I still hope Sacchin ending is the canon one. You can't really say all of the endings can lead to the Melty Blood game though. In a few of the endings, some of the key characters like Kohaku,Sacchin, Tohno Shiki, or Tohno Akiha, Arcueid will be killed off. I guess Nasu shows some mercy toward Ciel and Hisui. Kohaku is the most messed up person, but for some reasons, I can't hate her.

  • Roa is a bit different from Shiki. Shiki can "end" the existence of things, but Roa can only "kill" things, meaning that Shiki is at a more advance level. I guess since Roa can't end her existence, Arcueid is still be able to put herself back together.

  • Roa steals life from things.

Imagine if you hit a car and emptied all of it's fuel.

Since normally it can't move itself to get a refill, DEAD.

And yes, it's not pointless, since it bypasses ANY kind of defence, like Shiki's eyes.

But it's not as FINAL DEATH as Shiki's (who pretty much hits your self-destruct button)

  • Well! In the end, he was still killed by Arceuid. I still don't understand why he wants to kill her even though he loves her.

  • BAD END

  • I guess my comment down there offended some MB fans lawl. Excuse me, because I really don't know too much of the story. I got into MB from playing MUGEN, and from that community they called the woman in Roa's ending Akaitsuki...so, am I missing something? Again, I just play Melty for its gameplay and characters, so someone give me some info on er--Arcueid in Roa's ending, instead of spreading the hate for reasons unknown lol. =P

  • As much as I like to really answer that question...I can't honestly translate what is happening in the scene. Though I have two logical guesses on this ending:

    1. After Roa beats Arcuied and such, it shows a scene of the past between Roa and Arcuied OR a sudden change in attitude because of her being defeated by him.

    2. Possibly that could've been Arcuieds sister; which we all have no idea of how she looks, much less if she is still alive from fighting Roa at one time.

  • Thanks for the clarification! Well, it looks like MB fans really don't like....MUGEN then haha.

  • In Arcueid's Last Arc (Counter Ultimate), you see her princess form and last incarnation, Crimson Moon. This reason behind the Akatsuki name is that it means dawn, which can in fact have a red moon.

Shiki and Roa have mystical eyes that allow them to destroy a weak point of an opponent by slicing the lines that form the area. Roa cuts Arcueid's lines but Arcueid comes back as CM herself. He knows she will kill him in a instant even if it weren't revenge and demands that he dies without a trace.

  • If I recall, Roa doesn't have that power. SHIKI and Shiki do.

  • Also fun fact, Len has the ability to show simulated dreams of the past. In one dream she gives Shiki, Roa's and Arcueid's true past is shown. When he becomes aware that he can interact with the dream, he talks with Crimson Moon. After learning about the merciless princess Arcueid and even flirting with her, she gives him a goodbye, via the 17 Dissection, which is how many pieces he turned Arcueid into plus one.

I think the seventeenth slice was cutting off his neck.

  • Ah, again, thanks for the info. : ) I just picked up the english patch for Melty Blood ReAct and now I'm playing through the Tsukihime story mode to get some understanding. I just learned more about Shiki's eyes and the 27 True Ancestors. I read somewhere on a forum that Ren gave Tohno Shiki a naughty dream. XD Oh boy. I also noticed Crimson Moon in Arcueid's Last Arc. So, she's an incarnation of Arc. *goes to read Tsukihime* So interesting...

  • 27 Dead Apostles you mean. They more or less don't play a big role in the Tsukihime story besides Roa who is un-numbered and Warachia in MB. Chaos was just...well...there more or less.

You really should go read Tsukihime itself, total mind fuck.

  • Errr...I dunno about Crimson Moon being Arcueid. Her 'form' you speak of is her, back before Roa tricked her into drinking blood and Altrouge (Her 'sister') cutting off her hair after defeating her.

But according to Hinamo...Crimson Moon reincarnated into Arcueid? Well great, the world is fucked. I for one, welcome our new Aristotle overlords.

  • Her original form is probably the closest thing to CM, since she was at full power (not having to suppress her blood thirst). Since CM's reality marble is the ability to reincarnate into a True Ancestor, Arcuied, being the last TA, is the most likely candidate besides Altrouge, who is only half TA.

  • She is weaker than Astrouge though.

  • Losing once=!Clear power distinction.

Circumstances and matching abilities are more important than overall powerlevels in Type moon.

  • I'm neutral in that area so... Melty Blood is a canon ending of Sacchin. It's like a parallel universe. Since we can't agree on that, I guess we have to agree to disagree here. Anyway, if we pitch Sacchin against a servant, who do you think would win? I guess Sacchin since the servants need mana to survive and Sacchin will drain it all out with Depletion Garden.

  • Depletion Garden drains the mana (external magic) from an area,Disastrous for mages who gather energy from their surroundings for their spells. The mana the Servants store is 'internal or 'prana',which what a human magus like Shirou generates.

Depletion Garden does not drain that (confirmed, Character Material).

And since Sacchin lacks experience and other applications for her magical potential, she'll lose to almost any servant (they were the peak of humanity after all).

  • And yes, Melty Blood IS a parallel universe in a sense. I just disagree with the Sacchin ending concept, since it's something we have no idea about. We wait for the remake.

  • You're right, but Sacchin's stats increases when she's a vampire. She can rely on her strength. Besides, when the prana releases, it becomes mana. At that time, it will disappear. Consider the fact that Sacchin has yet matured in Tsukihime. She's a contender for Dead Apostle. We all know that the majority of Dead Apostles can kick Servants' butt. With time, I think Sacchin will become very strong.

  • It'd take her many years to be a contender for 'Ancestor' position. Also, magical release does not work that way.

For example, Saber's Excalibur attack becomes pure destructive light, Ea's becomes compressed wind that can cut nearly everything etc.

And Servants Vs Dead Apostles is a 50/50 fight. They are both usually beings who have reached peak of abilities (due to living usually longer than most),have unique abilities almost noone else has and have need for constant nourishment etc.

  • I may be wrong, but when prana releases out, the energy will become a form of mana. If it was to become mana, it will disappear. I don't think Sacchin matured yet in the first place. There are Dead Apostles that stronger than any servants. Arcueid can defeat 4 servants at the same time, but she said she may have trouble with Nero alone even at her full power.

  • You are wrong about the prana thing.

The basic of thaumatourgy (what magi do) is convert mana (external or prana) to something else. And yes, there are dead apostles stronger than servants, but then you have Gil who with a human body) and mana gathered from dying children has firepower to kill nearly everything.

In TM, how abilities match each other is more important than Powerlevels.

Berserker or Assassin would do nothing against Nero, but Saber or anyone with Anti-Army attacks could toast him.

  • Yeah, that part in Battle Moon Wars when Saber killed Nero was awesome.

  • Is there any servant who could possibly beat The Dark Six, Type-Mercury, or Primate Murder? I highly doubt it.

  • Here we Go:

We have no idea what the Dark Six exactly is and how it works, so that's out.

ANY TYPE should be considered unbeatable in solo. Zelretch's victory over Type Moon was a fluke thanks to surprise factor of the Second magic, and it was the Type of a dead world. Humanity's apex of evolution in 1000 years could battle Types barely, according to Notes.

Finally, Primate murder follows Altrouge around, so I guess he fears/respects her at least. It can kill normal humans very fast though.

  • Speaking of magic, I wonder if how many servants Aoko could handle?

  • From Nasu Statements, Aoko is no match against a serious Caster. Also, easy to deduce is a bad match against Saber with ridiculous resistances and Berserker with Protection/regeneration.

The rest, it's a matter if her attacks are strong enough to kill them fast, but most heroes of legends are famous for fighting against magic and witches, so it doesn't bode well for her.

  • Well, it was stated that a full-peak Arcueid could fight up to 4 with a chance of winning. Arcueid... in Melty Blood manga I think... was absolutely relieved that she wouldn't have to meet the Blue Gunner... so I say Aoko could win the Holy Grail War by herself in a single hour... but oh, this is not Dragon Ball Z to match power levels... strategy, skill, technique and nature of power come in account

  • I don't like it how everyone that thinks "power levels", thinks of DBZ. They stopped doing that after Frieza.

  • king of heroes

  • 18 cuts, actually; Shiki cut Arcuied into 17 pieces, so the princess in the dream turns him into 18 pieces. One up.

  • It was actually the 18 Dissection.

  • Yip ROA is a badass

  • That was a new style of fighting for the introduction of Roa. I see a new used character in many possible ways ^^

    Yet overall, Roa is still evil -_-;;

  • Crimson Moon Awake, the destruction of the world is very close....... The Aristoteles will invade soon the earth.........
