The only time I don't care for this moron is every time he opens his mouth. "We have to DO something about health care". Nothing intelligent, just "something". Dufus...
ACORN spokespersons have never had a problem lying on camera1 John 4: "Perfect Love casts out fear
The Tea Party Movement is no different than the American Revolution, the Christian Revival Movements of 1735-42, The Prayer Movement of 1857, and 1900; that is seen as The Holy Spirit enveloping God's believing creation to awaken his children to the truth.
The Tea Party Movement is no different than the American Revolution? The American Revolution was an all out revolt against an overbearing colonial empire. The Tea Parties are irrational protests against taxes and healthcare reform.
The deeper problem is if we just focus on manufacturing jobs alone (those are important in and of themselves) and not enough on mental labor we will be dominated by Germany, Japan and India in the sciences...their kids are much smarter than ours, sadly, because we have such a negative attitude in the US against people who are smart, so we teach them that it's unAmerican to be intelligent
The more I study politics and learn more about economics the less political I become! I don't believe in liberalism or conservatism. I don't believe in Dems or Repubs. Obama or McCain. It seems that I am all I have. Make money and let the sheep fight about the issues.... Unemployed and making more money than ever! See you at the mountaintop...
the only reason why we are fighting over this issue is because we are a "every man, woman, and child for themselves" society. It's called INDIVIDUALISM and it helps us to become competitive in the world but it also destroys us from within. WE CARE MORE ABOUT COMPETING THAN WE DO ABOUT EACH OTHER.
liar liar liar liar liar liar liar . No better than just like the rest of them.SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY WE DON'T EVEN HAVE. DID HE EVEN TAKE MATH IN SCHOOL.
Actually 85% of Americans are happy with their health care coverage. Why piss off 85% percent to make 15% happy when you can keep the 85% happy and work with the 15%? And race has nothing to do with it. It's just something the left uses when they don't have a good argument. The left is racist because they bring race into the picture when us on the right just care about policies. Check out the channel machosauceproductions, you'll see that its not about race. The guy is black.
Deak2112, what metaphysical fantasy are you relying upon for your "85% and 15%" fluffy statistics? I can tell as a fact that you have never studied anything relating to medicine, medical sociology, anthropology, or health economics, or medical history...if we don't change healthcare now, the country will go bankrupt, and the idea that people in the US (ranked 37th in health) are "happy" with their healthcare is laughable at best
if they stopped raping us with 100 dollar asprins, then we could fuckin afford it. fuck off with your socialist needs. this is america bitch!!!! what about some fuckin jobs
he is half white, enough with this he's black shit.
what ass is he kickin???
he dont care about us fuck head, he is rich like the rest of the fucks deciding our future. UNAMERICAN TO TO TAKE THE 2ND AMENDMENT AWAY, HEALTH CARE REFORM GIVES THE GOVERNMENT MORE POWER, WAKE THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My fellow Americans make sure you get your swine flu shot as it is your patriotic duty to prevent this pandemic and your IBM Verichip RFID implant as this will keep you safe from terrorists. In addition this chip will speed up checkpoints, grocery checkout and financial transactions. This also allows medical professionals instant access to medical records in the case of an accident or medical situation.
we know you are a liar and an empty suit that talks alot of shit and your polls are plummeting like a rock.Bush had better polls and people hated him,so what does that tell you asswipe we are seeing through your lies and bullshit
Doctors across the nation will be quitting the profession. A group of practitioners in Seattle have already stated if the bill passes they are quitting, they are not supporting abortion and never in their lifetime did they believe their rights as a doctor would be taken away. The media is doing whatever it can to brainwash the mass public, to make it feel like you are one of the few who believe there is something not right with the current plan.
You know and I know that healthcare was, and is, fundamentally screwed up because of government over regulation that allows greedy insurance corporations monopolies and greedy lawyers to run amok filing frivolous lawsuits since trial lawyers provide billions in campaign contributions. Gov. stepped in decades ago, screwed up the health sys., now yrs later when the sys. is collapsing, Gov. could take the sys. over completely and move us one step closer to socialism- elitist agenda. Fuck You!
I have a question, where do all these protesters come from? I know that in my job I can't take the day off to go protest! I mean, they obviously are being paid by the Republican party.
LOL Now you care about the constitution Not to keep America free but to protect Acorns right to defraud Tax payers out of there hard earned money God help us
How about tort reform? He won't do anything to upset the trial lawyers because thats where the democRATs get a lot of money. So he wants to take over health care like he has the banks and auto industry. Why not, Hitler did the same thing before he took over Germany. This is more about power than health care. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!! WE HAVE A MONSTER RUNNING THIS COUNTRY.
Health care coverage should be reformed so that it is portable (like auto insurance) and not dependent on employer coverage. However, the government health plans in Canada and the UK have miserable weaknesses. The true solution lies in the middle, so that large pools of people, combined with a bidding environment from healthcare providers, can be leveraged for lower healthcare costs.
Still on the campaign trail I see. What a dumb ass, still spewing lies and all these dumb Obamabots eat it up, "Oh the great one will take care of us, all hail barackus!" When will people wake up? The MAJORITY of Americans DON"T want Obamacare.
Firstly, the vast majority only started protesting once they realized the futility of the conflict and that it could never be won. In April 2003 72% of the US citizens supported the illegal invasion of Iraq.
Secondly, of course Americans have control of the US government, in case you didn't notice the US is a DEMOCRACY, which mean the citizens have the right to choose who leads them and who represents their beliefs. Comparing the Queen is irrelevant, she has no power what so ever in the UK.
Since when are facts scare tactics? The double standard of this fox news watchers is incredible. Specially since the people that employ it the most are republicans, conservatives and faux news. When republicans decide to actually stand up for something the majority of america will vote for you again.
You made a promise not to raise taxes on 95% of American families. You also promised to not allow this HC to spend one dime that goes to the deficit.
These are promises that you cannot keep. Why are you lying to the American People? Why do you think they are so stupid??? When you raise taxes on the middle class, it will be too late for them. Why don't you focus on JOBS for those people???
Thank You Congressman Wilson for telling us the emperor has no clothes.

Taxes hasn't been raised and Obama hasn't lied but if lying _suddenly_ is so important to you you may want to check out this video watch?v=nE2SdF1fN4s. They even backed out of their comments. Until you can see past party lines nothing will change.
Anyone who can read a budget knows that taxes are going up for all. Tim Giethner said as much 2 days ago. It will hit the middle class, so you are being lied to now, but are too blind to see it. Then just wait and see what cap and trade will do to you!
Unlike you, I've read HR3200 and it was left open to illegals getting in. This is why the Ds are NOW putting in language to change it, and to make the president NOT a liar. I am not R or D or I, as many of the Tea Party are mixed.

Actually, you are lying: ""No Federal Payment for Undocumented Aliens." According to America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, Page 143, Line 3, Section 246: "No Federal Payment for Undocumented Aliens. Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States." [America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, 7/22/09]
Don't say you have read the bill when you haven't, liar.
You moron. After Joe Wilson pointed out that they needed language in the bill that stated this in detail, not vague language (as they kept turning down the amendment to change the verbiage) they reworded it on Friday. You believe every lie that comes out, until you stop drinking the kook-aid you are never going to see the true light.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Did you at least read the date of the bill when that paragraph was retrieved? Of course you did but hey, when has facts gotten in the way of fox news watchers making wildly inaccurate accusations? Here it is: America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, 7/22/09. The bill has never allowed to provide health care to illegal immigrants.
I give you a fact and that's your answer? Come on, I mean, you clearly believe your position so you must have some facts that back you up. Give me the fact that backs your position, that's all you have to do in a discussion. I'm listening/reading.
I watched it on fox news actually. Joe tried to spin it but the president WASN'T lying. The bill is very clear saying that it wont' cover illegal immigrants. I was let down that Chris let him go that easily from that one but at least he brought it up and that's much more than any other pundit on FN can say. Citizen verification is a very different topic that isn't part of the law even now. Make no mistake, citizen verification or not we're still are going to pay for illegal aliens on.. ER.
All the more reason we should not have a public option. We cant afford it. It does say in the bill that hospitals are not allowed to verify citizenship. It is funny that the democrats blocked the repealing of that statement TWO times from the bill. Joe Wilson had every right to do what he did.
Technical? Is called the LAW and its clear in what is saying.
Do you want to verify for citizenship in the ER? You're actually creating more problems but hey, let's put citizen verification in the bill so you can stop screaming and misstating the facts. Millions of people uninsured with the number going up with each passing day and THAT is what you people are worried about. In the end of the day they illegal immigrants are humans too. Is true that you people are great americans.
'Illegal aliens' will not be covered. That's the law.
So to circumvent that you make illegal aliens citizens so that they can get coverage. What are you not understanding about this?
Who said anything about citizenship verification for emergency care?
I'm worried about the FeGo's intervention into the health industry that has lead to an increase in cost. For example in 1950 child birth cost $35 adjusted for inflation that's ~$250. Today it's what ~$10,000 - $15,000.
It's not that expensive because of the governemnt. It's because of the private health insurance companies. THEY get in the way and bog down the whole medical practice. I don't want the private insurance companies to go away and they won't under "obamacare" but if they do it's because they failed to provide a better service than the option run by the "incapable of running anything well" govt.
The root of problem with insurance providers is you and I.
The problem with pooling of money is that we feel entitled to it. Kinda similar to how the FeGo pools money(taxes). We feel entitled to it. We always end up sacking the treasury or the pool of money. That causes insurance providers to protect the pool(increased costs). It's just human nature.
Did you over look the fact that what Joe Wilson said in that interview with Chris that the New York Times (an extreme left loon paper) on Friday's front page of the editorials, admitted that we Owe the language change to Joe wilson who was insisting on Enforcement????? I guess it is too hard for you to see the truth, because you believe all the lies that BHO spews. I'm done with you. There is no point in showing you the facts, because when they are in your face, you still can't see it.
Did you over look the fact that what Joe Wilson said in that interview with Chris was that the New York Times (an extreme left loon paper) on Friday's front page of the editorials, admitted that we Owe the language change to Joe wilson who was insisting on Enforcement????? The topic at hand is that Wilson called the president a liar when he wasn't lying. The bill says clearly that it won't cover illegal immigrants. Citizen verification is another thing and BO wasn't referring to that.
Another thing, just because you don't agree with the NYT doesn't mean that it's a loon paper. The only reason why the right is smearing it it's because they decided to LOOK AFTER the People by reporting on the _UNCONSTITUTIONAL_ eavesdropping on americans without warrants program.
I give you a fact that even the New York Times admits to Joe Wilson's being right, by the D's having added the enforcement language Friday in the editorial section front page. And still you insist on Lying. You should stop lying and spreading misinformation. Just like the President, You Lie.
The NYT is the best newspaper in the world and it's recognized year after year. Now going offtopic here, to test your "conservatism", what do you think about the NYT reporting on that program?
The NYT is a loser of a paper, they are right up there with the Boston Globe. I prefer my news sources to be fact based. WSJ has always been my preference. Back to the issue, The President DID lie, because there wasn't any enforcement of the illegal issue, and they COULD have been treated medically IF the language had not been changed. Just like the NYT's admits, we should ALL Thank Joe Wilson for his efforts in getting this changed.
Why do you think of a loser of a paper? It's funny that you didn't answer my question about the unconstitutional eavesdropping of americans. It could also be a good insight for you, I mean, if you were OK with it (that program is as Orwellian as it gets) maybe you aren't so much a conservative than a GOP hack.
I'm OK with conservatism, there are a some REAL conservatives in the GOP that I admire, my problem comes with the people (hypocrites) that have hijacked the "conservatism" in the GOP.
Not really that funny, I just wasn't interested in your conversation on switching the subjects. You bore me. It is also hard to even comment on bush policies that Obama continues.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Don't neglect a moment of insight, especially when you can learn something about yourself. Personally I've been watching the events unfolding in the last few days very closely, how the right is reacting to Obama and all. We are not really that different when we think we are right, we can just try to learn. You didn't answer because "your" answer has been modeled by some people and now you unconsciously think that "conservative" == being ok with the illegal programs that Bush signed.
I've watched what has been going on, and am disgusted with the attempt on the left to turn the issue into a racial one. If you disagree with this pres, then YOU MUST be a racists. That just fuels them even more!!!! We do agree on one thing, we probably aren't that different. Most people fall to the center. However, I don't allow others to do my thinking for me. I just am more concerned with today, and tomorrow rather than yesterday. HIstory is important, but now is more important.
To lump all black people together, for example Kanye West......... He is a jackass for shooting his mouth off. Does that mean all people who are black are jackasses, just because the President called him one? No!! It would be ignorant to make such a stereotypical assumption. Just as all of the people who oppose BHO's Policies are not racists. However, the left uses it, and they love to play the race card!! It isn't working!!! It is only fueling the opposition.
I agree, the whole racial thing is getting out of control. The thing is, if we don't learn from the past we are deemed to repeat it, and regarding to some controversial programs of the past administration we can't let that happen. It's a shame that we get lost in labels and trenched in two "different" camps and don't stop to think for a second. This isn't about conservatism or liberalism, is about the constitution. Real conservatives know the difference, and you can see it in their positions.
The racial component is a big concern. You might remember the story of Detroit's Riots in the 60's. I would hope that something like that won't happen again, but it could and it could be much worse, especially when it is the entire country that will go to war amongst themselves. How stupid is that?! There are many out there just waiting for it, and that should be a concern.
As far as the constitution, I am more concerned today with it not being adhered to. A precedent has now been set, as far as taking property from one person and giving it to another. This administration has to answer for that. You can't take secured bonds and give 90% of that away to the Unions, because you favor one side over another. It changes the basic rules of the game, and anything goes............ anything!!
of course not! i love white people, but i can see the way his skin color effects his chances of success compared to a white president who wouldn't be given such difficult time.
we are the only country that feels that health is a commodity. that is simply stupid.
Certainly with some people. It would help all of us if we just plain liked all people based on what we see them do or how they act with each other. It would help to know that people do make mistakes, and that there are extremes on both the left and the right. The extremes are never the majority of any crowd. So when you see a nut job say stupid things about the president that are based on race, know that not all people who oppose his policies, oppose him because of his skin.
Are you more concerned now or just turning a blind eye to something much more corrupt and critical because it's about people on your "side"? Nobody is going to take anything from someone and give it to someone else. Communism isn't coming to america. I don't know where all this red scare thing is coming from (but I can make a good guess..). When everything is said and done you'll see I'm right.
The racial remarks are just stupid remarks, nobody is hoping for riots, don't kid yourself.
Again, I don't have a "side". I believe in Free Markets, without government intervention, and a strong military defense. I do not believe in take property from one citizen to give to another. When I choose to give what I earned away, it is up to me when and how I do it, not the government. You must not be aware of what happened to the secured bond holders at GM!!
This is exactly what happened!!!! The SECURED bond holders should have been paid first, and DIP financing should have occurred first.
Don't kid yourself. There are many nut jobs out here arming themselves in case of riots. Have you been to your local gun range lately? I've had a CCW since I was 19 (work related). There are alot of nuts out there.
The people arming themselves are the right wing nutjobs that think Obama is going to take their guns away. We've seen some of them in anti-Obama rallies, portraying their guns publicly. It's worrying.
What happened to GM is that the bondholders wanted the govt to become the largest investor but to not meddle in the business, kind of hypocritical when they drove the company to the brink. They were stalling the conversations and the govt acted boldly, not ideal but we didn't have much time left.
If you have spoken to EVERY person who is arming themselves, and have asked them if they are right wing nut jobs, then I would believe you. However I do not accept ANY generalization. The BONDHOLDERS did not want that. The failed management and the Govt wanted it. They still took from one to give to another, INSTEAD of DIP financing and let them go the path they set out for themselves. The Free Market way, not the government prop us up again way. This is why people cry comm/socialism.
I agree that the govt could've dealt with the GM situation in a different way but it was considered too big to fail and the bondholders talk were stalled. The bondholders were getting in the way of the big picture so the govt did what it had to do.
For someone that doesn't have a side you seem very reluctant to admit that the bush administration crossed the line several times. You seemed very in line with the "look forward" attitude that Fox News is promoting and I'm guessing that you're also ok with "enhanced interrogations techniques" (aka torture). Now, I could be wrong...
I DON'T care about the bush admin NOW. I care about what is going on in our country NOW as you should be. I guess you have not been listening. I would torture our enemy ANY day of the week to save any one American, EVEN YOU!!!
ladylordess, how does torturing "enemies" save American lives? psychology has proven that under torture detainees give false information so we actually end up being less safe...I have more chances of being killed in the US by another American than I do of being killed by an enemy of the US.....do you remember what happened to the roman empire? we're heading down that road if there is no massive change in US politics. beware the ides of march.
So did you erase the past eight years eh? It's easier if you just say that you're a republican and can't see past party lines, is not like it isn't clear by now or that there are any doubts. You could just admit that one of your guys screwed up (it happens), that doesn't mean that conservatism failed (bush wasn't a conservative in practice) or that the GOP failed. The thing about torture is, uhh, oh yea, is not as effective as other interrogations techniques, stop listening to dick and fox news.
You should start watching all news sources before attacking one. It has become too common for people to use attacks on Fox as a scapegoat, but if you view all news sources, they are far better than CNN, MSNBC, and most big papers/magazines. I know this because I watch the three big networks, read a short list of papers/magazines, and also include online sources. People like you enjoy letting your eyes glaze over as you lip sink to the reporters on MSNBC.
That would explain your illogical and flat out ridiculous opinion. You attack Fox when all you have are online newspapers and Fox. If you can't see the point that I am trying to make, then you really shouldn't be discussing politics, the economy, or any important matter with anyone. Don't comment back until you view them all.
The only person being illogical here is you since you take fox news as a serious news source. I watch fox news because it's the only network that I get here and it amuses me! It's amusing to see how, when the network picks a stand on an issue it gets reflected by every other show on the network. It's amusing when they start to manufacture their smear campaigns. On current events newspapers, cable news are the only things you can rely on to keep you updated. AND then thinking, lots of it.
I don't simply take the word of a reporter. However; I've found that online papers and newspapers are much less reliable. The only way you can learn is if you look at he material yourself. You have to go out and read the bills being passed, watch the raw footage, and then use common sense to decide what's real and what's not. Most of the networks out there don't even report the news. They choose to ignore it.
In what way did I paraphrase Glenn Beck? Glenn Beck and the reports on Fox use many words and say many things, so I am bound to produce a sentence that uses a similar word/wording.
@AintLifeGarand If you really can't see how Fox News isn't a serious news source (or how they are biased) then you are really lost. I'm not saying that MSNBC isn't biased, I'm just saying that you have to be able to see the bias in both of them. It's something that you have to learn when you try to figure out things instead of just following along, just listening to the commentators that you agree with. Believe me, you won't hear the whole truth out of any pundit in the mainstream media.
@rpgmaker You're right. I know it. They're all biased. But there is bias and people I want to associate with/ relate to, and bias/ people I don't. I can't relate to Schumer/ Kennedy or virtually any other weasel liberal Democrat. We are not compatible in any way, shape, or form, and I don't understand people who think they are compatible with these weasels.
@AintLifeGarand It's not about associating yourself with people that carry the same biases that you have (doing the opposite is more rewarding actually). It's about REALLY trying to understand what works best. There isn't a silver bullet philosophy that works best in every single situation and scenario. If you let yourself be trapped by the "right" or "left" you will be wrong half of the time.
@rpgmaker It IS about association, and "biases" is your word. Your word also describes your smart-ass attitude here. I choose good-hearted people, which you and your ilk aren't.
@AintLifeGarand What? Are you kidding me? That's your reaction? I thought we were talking here. Well, as I said before, people may kid themselves into believing that they have all the answers but they don't and the more you pick a side the further you're from seeing the big picture. Don't fall into the trap of believing that you're always right (at least if you're trying to find the truth about things).
@rpgmaker@rpgmaker MY point is that if you're trying to find the truth about things, it is 95% of the time NOTHING from a Democrat/ liberal. There is a right and wrong, a right side and a wrong side. It's wrong to kill a puppy. Some people don't believe that. You're telling me just because I don't believe it's right to kill a puppy, I should have a shadow of a doubt that puppy-killing MAY be okay? If some tries to tell me a red ball
@rpgmaker ...@rpgmaker ...is blue, I am NOT believing it, because I'm NOT stupid. Virtually everything is black and white, wrong or right. Virtually nothing is gray. It's simple. Dodds and Frank are responsible for THE home mortgage meltdown, for instance, and your liberal punks have blamed it on everything and everyone besides Dodds & Frank. Well, duh.
@AintLifeGarand So deregulation had nothing to do with it? You're right, there's plenty of blame to go around with the current crisis I just don't pretend it all falls on one side because it's not true just as liberal publications blame the GOP conservative publications blame the Dems and there's some truth in both. Not everything is black and white, especially in politics and you're making a huge mistake thinking that way (you're closing your mind).
@AintLifeGarand 5% is how often you will get the truth from any side. They all have their agendas and they lie to get what they want that's why you have to think for yourself and pay close attention to see when they're trying to deceive or when they're just protecting their best interests (or their parties) which is almost each and every time.
i agree to your last response to me. i totally understand their are crazy racist people here in the world and to not generalize. that's a no brainer. as to believing in free markets, i agree that it should be free.....to a point.
look at the collapse of aig and the many people who were to retire right before. you cannot expect power not to corrupt. it does each and every time if not regulated. this doesn't mean i want socialism. we just need balance.
If only everyone knew that racism is a no brainer!! Regulation is necessary, but not intervention. If a company has failed, it should be allowed to fail. The problem with regulation is that we had regulation (except in some newer areas, hedgefunds) but the regulators have been asleep at the wheel. Bernie Madoff should never have been allowed to happen, but he had 12 more years after the SEC was notified. Government isn't the answer, it usually is just part of the problem.
The original written proposal was 130 pages and not so easily understandable.
Take out looking out for special interest groups. Take out that which requires mandatory coverage (as we are required by law to purchase auto insurance).
Take out coverage for illegal immigrants (if that's included).
If you're gonna change healthcare, ya better start over. What's being proposed is extremely ambiguous and it HAS NOT been explained how the program will be funded.
i left some comments on some vids regarding the 2 million in DC yesterday. I just said both Bush was as a much a socialist as Obama. While Bush used the cover of right wingnut BS, Obama is doing the same thing under a so called liberal agenda. than I suggested everybody look up Norman Dodd.
The woman shouting "we gotta do somehting", obama's response and the second after not only made my spine tingle, but almost bought a tear to my eye. Incredibly moving - you guys are in goo hands (the supporter's and Obama's).
you know and i know, only a person from Kenya would try to turn the USA communist.
For if you were from the USA, you would spend 24/7 at getting all of america back to work. you would tax every American company that as moved over seas out of business in the USA. you wouldn't allow anything made by a US company to ever be shipped to the US. You would round up all illegalls and then lock down the borders.
"We gotta do somethin". Very homey, but that something shouldn't be ripping 450B from senior care just as the boomers are starting on Medicare. Die! "It's the neighborly thing to do"!
Guess the media just wants to pretend that the growing number of Americans who marched on Washington today (estimated at up to 2M) and all the Americans marching in cities today just don't exist. Guess what BO. We don't want socialized medicine...and the "something" you want to do includes robbing seniors of healthcare options. Hmmm...that saves social security too now, doesn't it. Let's pull the Acorn billions and do some tort reform. Then we'll talk.
Where were all these anti-government, don't spend my tax money people before the Iraq War? And when we were protesting the war, why were we dismissed by Bush as a "focus group." And that "focus group" was WAY huger than these tea bag people. Where was the media then? So, are these tea bag people not aware that they agreed to spend way more money on something that actually does and did kill people?
obamer said.... "**if** we don't pass health care reform, people will DIE"?
FALSE (YOU LIE) People will continue to die in unfortunate circumstances with or w/o obamer Care! NO proof of the proposal that it would save MORE lives!
Sarah Palin said...." under the proposal, there will be death panels"
TRUE!
HR 3200...Page 432
"Secretary shall include quality measures on *end of life care* and advanced care planning that have been adopted or endorsed by a consensus-based organization!"
88nice, You don't like what obamer said in his speech???? But I agree that obamer's speech was a lot of BS! And I'm guessing you've NOT READ any of the H.C. bills? Well, it simply looks like your another liberal blindly following obamer!
I could care less what he said & whether I liked it or not is aside from the point. To think that his plan will kill certain individuals is complete stupidity. After all, no one has died yet. Except those who cannot afford health care anymore under this big monopoly of corporate-republican power. You like people to die under this current system. & Not to mention, the republicans have been promising "socialism" during his term. I'm still waiting waiting for that too.
88, Problems reading English? It was OBAMER that said...."if we don't pass this H.C. Reform... people will die"! Do you need me to translate this into Spanish or French for you since your English isn't that good?
30k people march on Washington, and Obama makes a speech in Minnasota, whats bigger news? Your starting to see his influence and control in action and it will only get worst.
All these presidents tend to push through legislature that their handlers want. No president is elected without beins selected first. Obama is the perfect example.
The bigest problem that this country faces is the huge debt and the fact thaty most of our economy is in service industry. Who knows how long this buble will stay afloat. Noone will care about universal healthcare when the $ is worthless.
Deregulation is a not a universal solution, It is considered by legislators in certain cases to give more freedom to a particular market . Just imagine if Better Business Bureau wasn't there what would u do if corporation ripped u off as a consumer where would u file a complaint , if u didn't have legislation such as anti trust laws how would you prevent price hicks when business form conglomerents and monopolies for prices hikes. Deregulation is based on circumstances.
If you get ripped of by a corporation, sue them. Don't shop with them, hurt them where they'll notice instead of bitch about it. The only quasi monopoly anymore is Wal-Mart.
You forget before FDIC guarantees and Regulation over bank deposits, people lost confidence in the banking system. Also the sub prime and the mortgage crises was due to no regulation or lack of enforcement of regulation.
Do one thing for me put your money were your mouth is and run a business without regulating your employees. :-)
I'm not saying get rid of the FDIC, I'm saying to the government, "Don't tell banks who to give loans to, especially if they can't pay them back in their lifetimes." That problem that helped escalate the great Depression was caused by speculation, the same thing that caused all of these problems with the Sub -Prime mortgages, insurance companies felt they could make more money by insuring those loans, when they became bad paper all of those polices became worthless, billions down the drain.
yeah, Mr. President...that is the kind of talk, I like.
I applaud you Mr. President, on your commitment and moral clarity, in solving the health insurance crisis affecting our country, on your watch, rather than waiting for political timing or convenience or passing it on to the next administration.
Yep. Greatness and a grateful American citizenship.
The republican party on the other hand get a comission from the health insurance companies. Did you know that your dearly Joe Wilson is a insurance company darling? Look it up kid.
The protesters don't know what this is really about. And Obama can't tell them. The handful of insurance companies that have a lock on employer based healthcare are all listed on the stock exchange, and every one of them are gonna fight like hell to keep their million dollar pay packages and stock options. Our jacked up rates provides the growth that's needed to drive their stock price which justifies those million dollar pay packages. Obama's public option could smack them back to reality.
We need to step up our game and turn up the heat. In the comment section of my profile you will find several petitions you can sign in order to get you started as well as several other resources and lots of information regarding health care reform. Together we can do this.
Nearly one in four New Mexicans lacks health insurance coverage, and the state continues to have the nation's second highest uninsured rate, the US Census Bureau reported Thursday.
This is the beginning of what is yet to come! 2 million out of 300 Million Americans whats that equal to? Less than 1 percent of the American population. This was peaceful too. Just piss off the other 150 million Americans with guns ready to fight to restore the REPUBLIC and CONSTITUTION to its original form. 1776 is coming again right here in the United States of America Either your with the American people or your with the terrorist
The way we handle health care grew out of the socialist movement of the early 1900s. (See history books! DUH!) Those who expect to strap private enterprise with their health care ARE socialists! They want to be cared for from cradle to grave by their employers? How predatory is that? Very! Don't CALL them socialists though, they'll squeal like stuck pigs!
The disturbing news is: This Bill will provide federal tax dollars to bail out medicaid, and, via the FED, massively expand the money supply as dreamed of, since Teddy Roosevelt's day. Furthermore, hundreds-of-billions of those dollars will be siphoned off for an Afghanistan in which Hamid Karzai, the likely president, has ruthlessly stolen the vote, and he and his warlord cronies will pocket many billions of this healthcare loot. The 2010 midterms is another chance to vote for change.
Barack Husein Obama is still immature and has not fulfilled his over enthusiastic bickering which he himself has done during campaigning. he needs to make statements he can fulfil else 4 years down the line we all know what we will be calling him... My comment is - Grow up Barack Husein Obama and grow up America.
President Obama is just another well-spoken politician who tells the populace what they want to hear (to get elected) and then caters to the rich/corporations. He is not a populist, he is a democratic puppet. And all you "progressives" out there who voted for him because he is black and thought that he represented change in Washington, you have been duped. You listened to the mainstream media as they promoted Hillary, Edwards, and Obama very early in the primaries. Kucinich is the true liberal!
Well spoken? He can read the TelOprompter but that's about it. I've seen Ron Paul without a telOprompter give far more intelligent speeches with greater common sense than this Oidiot.
Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution states: "The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and GENERAL WELFARE OF THE UNITED STATES; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States". So there it is! Congress is authorized to enact health care legislation that ensures the GENERAL WELFARE, and is authorized to levy taxes to fund it. End of Discussion!!
ArmyVeteran, Nice try... but NO obamer! Here's what the Constitution REALLY says....
The Constitution assigns only limited, enumerated powers to Congress and none, (including the power to regulate interstate commerce or to impose taxes), would support a federal mandate requiring anyone who is otherwise without health insurance to buy it.
Might want to try something else to support obamer Care!
The only time I don't care for this moron is every time he opens his mouth. "We have to DO something about health care". Nothing intelligent, just "something". Dufus...

Actually 85% of Americans are happy with their health care coverage. Why piss off 85% percent to make 15% happy when you can keep the 85% happy and work with the 15%? And race has nothing to do with it. It's just something the left uses when they don't have a good argument.

Comparing the Queen is irrelevant, she has no power what so ever in the UK.

ladylordess 2 years ago
I watched it on fox news actually. Joe tried to spin it but the president WASN'T lying. The bill is very clear saying that it wont' cover illegal immigrants. I was let down that Chris let him go that easily from that one but at least he brought it up and that's much more than any other pundit on FN can say. Citizen verification is a very different topic that isn't part of the law even now. Make no mistake, citizen verification or not we're still are going to pay for illegal aliens on.. ER.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
All the more reason we should not have a public option. We cant afford it. It does say in the bill that hospitals are not allowed to verify citizenship. It is funny that the democrats blocked the repealing of that statement TWO times from the bill. Joe Wilson had every right to do what he did.
Zoklor 2 years ago 2
Quit being technical.
It's clear that the game plan is to pass some kind of coverage. After that it's immigration reform.
So the 'illegal aliens' of today, who technically won't be covered, will be the newly sworn in citizens of tomorrow, who will be covered.
The question is are illegal aliens going to be covered. Technically no, at the end of the day... yes.
That's how he's lying.
LooseLatitude 2 years ago
Is true that you people are great americans.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
'Illegal aliens' will not be covered. That's the law.
So to circumvent that you make illegal aliens citizens so that they can get coverage. What are you not understanding about this?
Who said anything about citizenship verification for emergency care?
I'm worried about the FeGo's intervention into the health industry that has lead to an increase in cost. For example in 1950 child birth cost $35 adjusted for inflation that's ~$250. Today it's what ~$10,000 - $15,000.
I don't like Hannity.
LooseLatitude 2 years ago
It's not that expensive because of the governemnt. It's because of the private health insurance companies. THEY get in the way and bog down the whole medical practice. I don't want the private insurance companies to go away and they won't under "obamacare" but if they do it's because they failed to provide a better service than the option run by the "incapable of running anything well" govt.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
The root of problem with insurance providers is you and I.
The problem with pooling of money is that we feel entitled to it. Kinda similar to how the FeGo pools money(taxes). We feel entitled to it. We always end up sacking the treasury or the pool of money. That causes insurance providers to protect the pool(increased costs). It's just human nature.
We should go back to a cash/charity based system.
LooseLatitude 2 years ago
Oh and you can thank the FeGo for our insurance based health care.
They got so involved with limiting people's pay that those businesses offered insurance in loo of pay.
So our health care problems was an unintended consequence of intervening in people's pay.
I wonder what the consequence of Obama limiting CEO's pay will lead to.

The only reason why the right is smearing it it's because they decided to LOOK AFTER the People by reporting on the _UNCONSTITUTIONAL_ eavesdropping on americans without warrants program.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
I give you a fact that even the New York Times admits to Joe Wilson's being right, by the D's having added the enforcement language Friday in the editorial section front page. And still you insist on Lying. You should stop lying and spreading misinformation. Just like the President, You Lie.
ladylordess 2 years ago 2
The NYT is the best newspaper in the world and it's recognized year after year. Now going offtopic here, to test your "conservatism", what do you think about the NYT reporting on that program?
rpgmaker 2 years ago
The NYT is a loser of a paper, they are right up there with the Boston Globe. I prefer my news sources to be fact based. WSJ has always been my preference. Back to the issue, The President DID lie, because there wasn't any enforcement of the illegal issue, and they COULD have been treated medically IF the language had not been changed. Just like the NYT's admits, we should ALL Thank Joe Wilson for his efforts in getting this changed.
ladylordess 2 years ago
Why do you think of a loser of a paper? It's funny that you didn't answer my question about the unconstitutional eavesdropping of americans. It could also be a good insight for you, I mean, if you were OK with it (that program is as Orwellian as it gets) maybe you aren't so much a conservative than a GOP hack.
I'm OK with conservatism, there are a some REAL conservatives in the GOP that I admire, my problem comes with the people (hypocrites) that have hijacked the "conservatism" in the GOP.

Don't neglect a moment of insight, especially when you can learn something about yourself. We are not really that different when we think we are right, we can just try to learn. You didn't answer because "your" answer has been modeled by some people and now you unconsciously think that "conservative" == being ok with the illegal programs that Bush signed.

It is only fueling the opposition.
ladylordess 2 years ago 4
I agree, the whole racial thing is getting out of control. The thing is, if we don't learn from the past we are deemed to repeat it, and regarding to some controversial programs of the past administration we can't let that happen. It's a shame that we get lost in labels and trenched in two "different" camps and don't stop to think for a second. This isn't about conservatism or liberalism, is about the constitution. Real conservatives know the difference, and you can see it in their positions.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
The racial component is a big concern. You might remember the story of Detroit's Riots in the 60's. I would hope that something like that won't happen again, but it could and it could be much worse, especially when it is the entire country that will go to war amongst themselves. How stupid is that?! There are many out there just waiting for it, and that should be a concern.
ladylordess 2 years ago
As far as the constitution, I am more concerned today with it not being adhered to. A precedent has now been set, as far as taking property from one person and giving it to another. This administration has to answer for that. You can't take secured bonds and give 90% of that away to the Unions, because you favor one side over another. It changes the basic rules of the game, and anything goes............ anything!!
ladylordess 2 years ago
of course not! i love white people, but i can see the way his skin color effects his chances of success compared to a white president who wouldn't be given such difficult time.
we are the only country that feels that health is a commodity. that is simply stupid.
sk8bow 2 years ago
Certainly with some people. It would help all of us if we just plain liked all people based on what we see them do or how they act with each other. It would help to know that people do make mistakes, and that there are extremes on both the left and the right. The extremes are never the majority of any crowd. So when you see a nut job say stupid things about the president that are based on race, know that not all people who oppose his policies, oppose him because of his skin.
ladylordess 2 years ago
Are you more concerned now or just turning a blind eye to something much more corrupt and critical because it's about people on your "side"? Nobody is going to take anything from someone and give it to someone else. Communism isn't coming to america. I don't know where all this red scare thing is coming from (but I can make a good guess..). When everything is said and done you'll see I'm right.
The racial remarks are just stupid remarks, nobody is hoping for riots, don't kid yourself.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
Again, I don't have a "side". I believe in Free Markets, without government intervention, and a strong military defense. I do not believe in take property from one citizen to give to another. When I choose to give what I earned away, it is up to me when and how I do it, not the government. You must not be aware of what happened to the secured bond holders at GM!!
ladylordess 2 years ago
This is exactly what happened!!!! The SECURED bond holders should have been paid first, and DIP financing should have occurred first.
Don't kid yourself. There are many nut jobs out here arming themselves in case of riots. Have you been to your local gun range lately? I've had a CCW since I was 19 (work related). There are alot of nuts out there.
ladylordess 2 years ago
The people arming themselves are the right wing nutjobs that think Obama is going to take their guns away. We've seen some of them in anti-Obama rallies, portraying their guns publicly. It's worrying.
What happened to GM is that the bondholders wanted the govt to become the largest investor but to not meddle in the business, kind of hypocritical when they drove the company to the brink. They were stalling the conversations and the govt acted boldly, not ideal but we didn't have much time left.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
If you have spoken to EVERY person who is arming themselves, and have asked them if they are right wing nut jobs, then I would believe you. However I do not accept ANY generalization. The BONDHOLDERS did not want that. The failed management and the Govt wanted it. They still took from one to give to another, INSTEAD of DIP financing and let them go the path they set out for themselves. The Free Market way, not the government prop us up again way. This is why people cry comm/socialism.
ladylordess 2 years ago
I agree that the govt could've dealt with the GM situation in a different way but it was considered too big to fail and the bondholders talk were stalled. The bondholders were getting in the way of the big picture so the govt did what it had to do.

It has become too common for people to use attacks on Fox as a scapegoat, but if you view all news sources, they are far better than CNN, MSNBC, and most big papers/magazines. I know this because I watch the three big networks, read a short list of papers/magazines, and also include online sources. People like you enjoy letting your eyes glaze over as you lip sink to the reporters on MSNBC.
madehero2007 2 years ago
Actually, I just watch fox news and read from every major newspaper online.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
rpg:
That would explain your illogical and flat out ridiculous opinion. You attack Fox when all you have are online newspapers and Fox. If you can't see the point that I am trying to make, then you really shouldn't be discussing politics, the economy, or any important matter with anyone. Don't comment back until you view them all.
madehero2007 2 years ago
The only person being illogical here is you since you take fox news as a serious news source. I watch fox news because it's the only network that I get here and it amuses me! It's amusing to see how, when the network picks a stand on an issue it gets reflected by every other show on the network. It's amusing when they start to manufacture their smear campaigns. On current events newspapers, cable news are the only things you can rely on to keep you updated. AND then thinking, lots of it.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
rpg:
I don't simply take the word of a reporter. However; I've found that online papers and newspapers are much less reliable. The only way you can learn is if you look at he material yourself. You have to go out and read the bills being passed, watch the raw footage, and then use common sense to decide what's real and what's not. Most of the networks out there don't even report the news. They choose to ignore it.
madehero2007 2 years ago
I agree. More than common sense you need a critical way thinking. I don't think that paraphrasing Glenn Beck helps your point.
rpgmaker 2 years ago
rpg:
In what way did I paraphrase Glenn Beck? Glenn Beck and the reports on Fox use many words and say many things, so I am bound to produce a sentence that uses a similar word/wording.
madehero2007 2 years ago
@rpgmaker It's the only serious news source. "Thinking" is the missing element in liberal-puke politics. There IS none.
AintLifeGarand 1 year ago
@AintLifeGarand If you really can't see how Fox News isn't a serious news source (or how they are biased) then you are really lost. I'm not saying that MSNBC isn't biased, I'm just saying that you have to be able to see the bias in both of them. It's something that you have to learn when you try to figure out things instead of just following along, just listening to the commentators that you agree with. Believe me, you won't hear the whole truth out of any pundit in the mainstream media.
rpgmaker 1 year ago
@rpgmaker You're right. I know it. They're all biased. But there is bias and people I want to associate with/ relate to, and bias/ people I don't. I can't relate to Schumer/ Kennedy or virtually any other weasel liberal Democrat. We are not compatible in any way, shape, or form, and I don't understand people who think they are compatible with these weasels.
AintLifeGarand 1 year ago
@AintLifeGarand It's not about associating yourself with people that carry the same biases that you have (doing the opposite is more rewarding actually). It's about REALLY trying to understand what works best. There isn't a silver bullet philosophy that works best in every single situation and scenario. If you let yourself be trapped by the "right" or "left" you will be wrong half of the time.
rpgmaker 1 year ago
@rpgmaker It IS about association, and "biases" is your word. Your word also describes your smart-ass attitude here. I choose good-hearted people, which you and your ilk aren't.
AintLifeGarand 1 year ago
@AintLifeGarand What? Are you kidding me? That's your reaction? I thought we were talking here. Well, as I said before, people may kid themselves into believing that they have all the answers but they don't and the more you pick a side the further you're from seeing the big picture. Don't fall into the trap of believing that you're always right (at least if you're trying to find the truth about things).
rpgmaker 1 year ago
@rpgmaker @rpgmaker MY point is that if you're trying to find the truth about things, it is 95% of the time NOTHING from a Democrat/ liberal.

Well, duh.
AintLifeGarand 1 year ago
@AintLifeGarand So deregulation had nothing to do with it? You're right, there's plenty of blame to go around with the current crisis I just don't pretend it all falls on one side because it's not true just as liberal publications blame the GOP conservative publications blame the Dems and there's some truth in both. Not everything is black and white, especially in politics and you're making a huge mistake thinking that way (you're closing your mind).
rpgmaker 1 year ago
@AintLifeGarand 5% is how often you will get the truth from any side. They all have their agendas and they lie to get what they want that's why you have to think for yourself and pay close attention to see when they're trying to deceive or when they're just protecting their best interests (or their parties) which is almost each and every time.

i agree to your last response to me. i totally understand their are crazy racist people here in the world and to not generalize. that's a no brainer. as to believing in free markets, i agree that it should be free.....to a point.
look at the collapse of aig and the many people who were to retire right before. you cannot expect power not to corrupt. it does each and every time if not regulated. this doesn't mean i want socialism. we just need balance.
sk8bow 2 years ago
If only everyone knew that racism is a no brainer!! Regulation is necessary, but not intervention. If a company has failed, it should be allowed to fail. The problem with regulation is that we had regulation (except in some newer areas, hedgefunds) but the regulators have been asleep at the wheel. Bernie Madoff should never have been allowed to happen, but he had 12 more years after the SEC was notified. Government isn't the answer, it usually is just part of the problem.

Yeah, the bernie madoff ponzi scheme could've been totally avoided without the govt in the way. Totally.

For if you were from the USA, you would spend 24/7 at getting all of america back to work. you would tax every American company that as moved over seas out of business in the USA. you wouldn't allow anything made by a US company to ever be shipped to the US. You would round up all illegalls and then lock down the borders.

@HogsBoysMavsCards
Deregulation is based on circumstances.
postalmailbox 2 years ago
If you get ripped of by a corporation, sue them. Don't shop with them, hurt them where they'll notice instead of bitch about it. The only quasi monopoly anymore is Wal-Mart.
HogsBoysMavsCards 2 years ago
answer @HogsBoysMavsCards
You forget before FDIC guarantees and Regulation over bank deposits, people lost confidence in the banking system. Also the sub prime and the mortgage crises was due to no regulation or lack of enforcement of regulation.
Do one thing for me put your money were your mouth is and run a business without regulating your employees. :-)
postalmailbox 2 years ago
I'm not saying get rid of the FDIC, I'm saying to the government, "Don't tell banks who to give loans to, especially if they can't pay them back in their lifetimes." That problem that helped escalate the great Depression was caused by speculation, the same thing that caused all of these problems with the Sub -Prime mortgages, insurance companies felt they could make more money by insuring those loans, when they became bad paper all of those polices became worthless, billions down the drain.
