I kinda wish Stephen King could have had written this as a book. Would have been interesting to see if he added or put in anything different with the Sleepwalkers. I've always wondered why he had to get "engery" for his mother. Why couldn't she do it?

@Moonstone2732 I think the intention of this movie was to have the audience guess why. My guess is that the mother uses her powers to shield the house. That takes a lot of energy to to so. He seemed to have no problem with needing energy and like every other norman bates wannabe he has no trouble providing for his mother with what she wants.
