Sorry to respond 2 months latew,but to answer your question the G43(Gewehr 43 is indeed in the game)and I find it quite good for sniping,but when it comes to close quarters or short range gunfaights,I would prefer to have my Thompson with me,or any other short range weapon.Not to say you can't shoot from afar with it.
