  • The sound is due to camshaft endplay, there are two solutions for getting rid of the noise: -replacing the camshafts

    -fitting a genuine suzuki 'wave washer' between two (t:0.7) washers on the end of the camshaft.

  • What was the noise did you find out ?

  • Unfortunately no. Just two mechanics' guesses - possibly the bearing journals. I swapped the engine out for a used replacement that doesn't knock.

  • Recalibrate the valves, change the camchain (sorry dunno in English): it is knocking.
