  • @RazorSharpRyan It really depends on many things, how well your work is in the ring, your look, charisma and personality

  • @RazorSharpRyan LOL, the trainers have nothing to do with that. They might influence in some ways, but it is all up to YOU. You can train with the best, but if you're a failure, it won't do anything.

  • @Adrianpowers65 Yeah, but if I caught you in there, I'd break your neck

  • @ricdrasin I want to be an american, im portuguese :(

  • except the ring i was in didnt have ply wood in it it had wooden planks in it

  • too all asking if it hurts to hit the mat yes it does sting a lil i have been in a ring but if u land riite it wont hurt as much but it wil hurt the next day

  • @tanmanstner What does it matter if it hurts. If you can't take a little pain in wrestling then you shouldn't be doing it at all.

  • @ricdrasin dude i'm 14 my dad took me n let me into the ring to do bumps i didnt say i couldnt take it i jus said it kinda hurts later on

  • what material is the floor made of in the ring i cant hear you on the video that well please reply as soon as possible.....

  • me and my friend are good at wrestling we may not be old enough but were almost ass god as other wrestlers e just cant jump off and flip ontop of eachother

  • aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwsssssssssssooooooooommmmmmeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dude i so want a wrestling ring but i dont like how i have no choice but to use garden hose coverings for the ropes seriously its dumb

  • could u just drill the boards in

  • @PlanBskaterz545 No the boards have to stay loose

  • you must have money first

  • how much $ did u spend an how long did it take u to make it

  • oh god it looks hurt when landing :(

  • this looks great! What was the final cost of this ring?

  • Cool man. Thanks for the video.

  • Lol wat if it rained

  • @roberthhh12 Duh! Have had the ring up 12 years. I have an outdoor cover for winter. You didn't think I thought of that????

  • @ricdrasin ok sorry

  • Cool ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice vid whats the song at the very start ?

  • Let me ask you, would it be better to use plywood, or planks for the wood? We have uses plywood in our ring for almost 3 years now, it's durable but we have only had problems with it. I heard that most rings use planks.

  • @haVocHWC3 Almost every ring that I've ever seen or been in is plywood. Planks were used about 40 years ago. Some people still use them, but plywood is the way to go. 3/4 " and rotate them from time to time

  • Thanks for the reply, we have a 12 by 12 ring. Small, I know. But we use four 4 by 8 sheets and one 4 by 4 sheet of plywood. The problem we have is when we takes heavy bumps, some times the wood shifts off the cross member. We tried tying them together with metal ties, and screws. It worked for a bit but not well enough. And the reason I suggested planks was because I think the website we got it from suggested using plank flooring.

  • @haVocHWC3 I have stops around the ring made of steel that hold the boards in place.. kind of like grooves. But if that doesn't work try the planks. I know it can get frustrating..

  • Haha, yeah it's really annoying. We had little raised edges around the ring frame to, to hold the wood secure. They worked for awhile but not now. I will give planks a try and let you know how they worked for me. Thanks man.

  • Ey good video. im getting into a ring for the first time tommoro. and i need a answer today. does it hurt? like taking a bump does it hurt like does it take the wind out of you atall? respond please.

  • @Karuean Let me know how it goes

  • @ricdrasin Hey. it went good, uhm the ring is pretty Hard and it winded me abit. is that normal? + is there anyway to prevent that?

  • @Karuean Nope. You just have to toughen up and get in shape. NO one said this is easy. IN fact Micky Roarke said it was the hardest thing he's ever had to do for the movie 'The Wrestler." Tough business and only those strong enough can survive it

  • @Karuean Your gonna start to get used to it after a while just keep going.

  • hey ric cool ring, wish the was some cool wrestling schools here in ireland

  • is that ring hard?

  • @341wwe firm

  • @ricdrasin it looks very hard... :/ ala boxing ring...

    Anyway good work!!!!

  • @ricdrasin

Im 20 and and want to do pro wrestling. But i want to get my education first. If i started training around when im 26 years old would that be to late?or should i start sooner?

  • @josh83689 Thats your decision. You have to do what you gotta do but if you want something, go for it. If you put it off, then you really don't want it. YOu can go to school and get your education at the same time. Get a good profession or career, because there's very little money in wrestling except for the top stars

  • @josh83689 Actually i know several people who are in college and do pro wrestling as well. It's possible to do both because you can train a few days a week with shows on weekends and at the same time get your education during the week. According to them its not hard to manage.

  • Hi i'm thinking about doing a movie about pro wrestling, i was wondering how to build a ring on a tight budget. What materials do you reccomend

  • @ElvisandJohnny There's no way to build a good one on a tight budget. Also way too many parts for me to list. Go to highspots they have them

  • What do you do when it rains do you cover it pls reply

  • i dont know what gymnastic pads feel like, if you fall back on the ring does it hurt?

  • @LDMCPRODUCTIONS I don't use gymnastics pads. I use ECTO-FOAM. It's harder. Everything hurts in the ring... Too many of you guys who watch this think it's fake and we don't get hurt. I can't begin to tell you the number of back and neck injuries from bumping. If you're afraid of that then don't do it. It's not for everyone.

  • You said that the ring isn't that hard.. but in the videos when they take bumps it sounds loud... how is that?

  • Thanks man... Did you buy the gym mats or were they donated?

  • @CBUCKPRODUCTIONS I bought everything. They're not mats. It's called ectofoam. Runs about $600 for the entire ring.

  • hey i have a ring too i have 12 turnbuckles that tighten thats how much i need right

  • Hey ric... I love your videos.. I'm building myself one. and I wanted to know how to get the big boom slam sound without landing on something EXTREMLY hard. I mean I can take pain .. but I want a little padding but still with a good sound... any suggestions on padding or wood??

  • @CBUCKPRODUCTIONS There's ONLY one way to build a ring and that's the right way. I use 3/4 inch plywood and then 2 inch gymnastics type padding on top. Nothing more than that.

  • this looks quite similar to the RoH ring

  • the rings am only expensive because the rame thats why the rest of it cost about £1000 so its like $950

  • thats really padded compaired to my training ring :(

  • How much did you pay for all of these requires to make this ring?

I'm into MMA and I need such a ring for sparring.

  • um how much would i have to pay you to build me one

  • @klempjohn I don't build rings for others. I had this one done for me. Most likely you wouldn't want to spend that much. They run between $5000 and $7000 for a good one and if you're not making money with it, then it's not a good investment as it takes a LOT of maintenance.

  • @klempjohn Look at the answer below on this. It tells you right there what it costs.

  • how long did it take you to make?

  • beasting

  • Your ropes look slack

  • @unplugged1994 Because I didn't tighten them all the way.

  • i AM STARTING PRO WRESTLING TRAINING

  • I checked around on Youtube after wrestling rings and your ring is absolutely the coolest. Good job!

  • Does a wwe ring hurt a little bit more?

  • @LucasRocks749 Lol it just feels like.. maybe landing on some foam and wood. i hit the padding at it didn't seem to hurt.. i cant wait to get my own ring :]

  • @LucasRocks749 wwe uses 2 inches of pading

  • @LucasRocks749 thats what i was wondering does it hurt when u hit the mat it sounds solid in wwe and in home rings

  • How do you hold together the plywood underneath? that sits on the frame...and doesn't the WWF use a big spring in the middle?

  • You'd have to see it to understand. Some use springs some don't. It's a matter of preference

  • For the money and the "safety factor" you're better to go with the ring Stampede wrestling used. AKA a "Flexibeam" ring as opposed to a "breakdown" ring.

I've been in both and I have to say "Flexibeam" is the way to go.

Also... use truss for your frame; Not only is it easier to setup and take-down BUT it's safer!

AND DON'T USE PLYWOOD! Use 12" x 1" (or 12" x 1.1/2") boards and have them cut to length.

  • I AM GOING TO BE A PRO WRESTLER

  • looks like an roh ring but smaller

  • nice video i going to come to your school when im 18 im kid whos been doing my company for 6 years in april hopefully youll be there when im 18 looks amazing

  • NO, I don't have it. I've already posted that many times over.

  • man i really want to be a pro wrestler

  • same here

  • yeah when i am 18 i am hoping to go to wrestling school

  • @rockmanethan hombre no sabes lo q dices! tu los ves en la tv y dices:" o looks pretty good and it easy" pues no es asi es estar años entrenando y en el gimnasio y triunfar es duro y te cuesta mucho, your family, your home

    its hurts!

  • how to u build a wrestling ring

  • can you post up a list of everything we need first instead of just watching this 9 minute video?

  • First off, I don't know where my list is. Haven't seen it in years. 2nd, it's so detailed no one would understand it.

  • people who have been around rings would, like me. im looking for lists or just rings to buy and build.

  • manilla is for boxing rings thats what i read on monster rings

  • You can basically use any type of rope that works. There's no rule

  • i found foam at foam factory would the 2 inch foam be the best?

  • 2" firm, not soft

  • dude you and your friend should build rings for a living

  • No thanks!!

  • very cool

  • also, thats a really cool ring.

  • I wish my friends liked wrestling. so i could actually use mine.

  • I wrestled for an indy fed whose ring was terribly lumpy and bad for bumping! Your ring looks far better than theirs. Nice job, man.

  • I am going to make one for wwe in my back yard

  • iam just going to say if u r sending a vid 2 wwe and try 2 get in they look down on things like that

  • Me and A friend Are buldiing one in Our apartment Lmao! its great to pratice at home!

  • aw man nice ring!! i want one in my back yard (:

  • the thing is people at my scholl think wrestling gay so for me and the people who want to create a league we cna make a ring and put it in my backyard but we dnt want people to know we do but what if they find out we do?
