I actually took a flight to Madrid because the concert was held on a Sunday and I live about 600 kms away and the only way to get back to work on Monday morning was taking a flight. It was really worth it. So aside from little publicity I think that the concert being held on a Sunday also had a lot to do. I don't think there were 2,000 people but definitely more than 1,000. ... by the way, I lost my voice singing along to the top of my lungs. We had so much fun. Journey is great!!!

I was there last night and I guess that if you are a Filipino then you would notice the Filipinos but there were more Europeans than Asians. Also, there was more than 1,000 people. The place can hold up to 3,000 and it was about 1/3 full. The reason why it was not packed was because there was hardly any publicity. Considering this fact, 1,000 people went because they either heard it from someone else or they saw the publicity on youtube or in Journey's webpage. It was a great concert!!!
obviously they will be visible in the concert especially for Arnel Pineda/JOURNEY-This is the very 1st time that PINOY ROCK LEAD SINGER IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK MUSIC. hardly do showing his antics so was jonathan (he is really very talented, he can play many instruments) and he is their "Director" and he shows his appreciation to the crowd with his smile and being down to earth and deen for his anassuming ways. we waited for the band to come out of the back stage which lasted for it seemed eternity for their autograph. Arnel is soft-spoken, humble, accomodating even if we knew he was too tired.
i hope he will not change and if ever, only for the better.

to get a better view and went to the front near the stage to get a better view and after a front act of a less-known band which did a couple of songs (sorry, can't remember their name but a good one, though) the crowd began to swell. I guess i would estimate the crowd to be over 2,000. it was almost full. the acoustic was very very good and the lightings too and Arnel was fascinating. i think it was ok for him to say "Para sa mga pinoy ito". when they held the concert in madrid, the soccer games was between spain and russia. this would explain why many spanish people didn't come to the concert. in karlsruhe where i went to, it was held on a wednesday and thank God the game was not between germany against anybody, the capacity must have been for 3,000 people. the seats were filled with capacity but the space between the stage and the seats was not filled so we left our seats

teah'the video was recorded from afar plus you have to take into account the distortions or ingay around the person who took the recording thats why it doesn't sound so good. but its all good. its journey. its arnel. enjoy! by the way the band just got better with age. like a vino rosso!!!! drink up. cheers!!!

I actually took a flight to Madrid because the concert was held on a Sunday and I live about 600 kms away and the only way to get back to work on Monday morning was taking a flight. It was really worth it. So aside from little publicity I think that the concert being held on a Sunday also had a lot to do. I don't think there were 2,000 people but definitely more than 1,000. ... by the way, I lost my voice singing along to the top of my lungs. We had so much fun. Journey is great!!!

Yes! medyo may konteng problema sa sound system & also katulad ng sinabi-barleybinge malayo ang distance ng recorder, maingay, at hindi madaling kumuha ng live-dahil bawal ang mga cam-corder sa mga concert malamang mga snap shot or secreto lang ang pag kuha diba? Regardless ang magandang boses ni Arnel ay likas na ngi-ngibabaw naman...

Minsan depende sa Cam corder set up? Lalo na kung hindi naka-advance set up? nakalimutan subukan muna bago mag record ng video. Minsan sa quality ng Cam corder or any devices? Sa sound system minsan technical difficulty? or baka ang concert place ay standard lang ang sound system? or depende rin sa quality? or ilan ang mga devices na-naka connect sa speaker? Pag open air maraming disturbances;
noise, distance, saka mahirap kumuha pag pinagbabawal ang camera? or recording?

I was there last night and I guess that if you are a Filipino then you would notice the Filipinos but there were more Europeans than Asians. Also, there was more than 1,000 people. The place can hold up to 3,000 and it was about 1/3 full. The reason why it was not packed was because there was hardly any publicity. Considering this fact, 1,000 people went because they either heard it from someone else or they saw the publicity on youtube or in Journey's webpage. It was a great concert!!!

There are many Filipino in Madrid & Barcelona,
obviously they will be visible in the concert especially for Arnel Pineda/JOURNEY-This is the very 1st time that PINOY ROCK LEAD SINGER IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK MUSIC. Having said that lets continue to support them. Also 1800-2000 audience are good number to start since last ( 1996 )JOURNEY EUROPEAN Concert tour.
I've had told my sisters in Barcelona by email & phone about Arnel.She said majority of FILIPINO are in the concert...

S Perry is half Spanish, half American. AP is touring Europe where JOURNEY has a big fanbase. Am pretty sure na nag-aabang din yung mga dati nang fans nila. Mas nakabubuti na sigurong huwag ng magbanggit tungkol sa nationality si AP.

kac guys...concerts nila d2 sa europe eh nasabay ng european football ...eh mga die hard fans mga tao d2 sa football..Sa Cologne i don´t even saw a poster ng journey kung di ka lang pupunta mismo sa bilihan ng tickets.Venue here in EWERK is not that tooo big also, around 10,000 people ang kaya.Working day pa bukas,i hope many people will come and watch them instead of football.I´ll see them tomorrow in EWERK.Goodluck Journey!

cubicle28,thanks for posting this video though its not clear, what matter is about our idol who did it well,regarding the said venue,i went to journey's website yesterday and there's one guy who posted that its about 1800-2000 went to watch considering the venue is not that big? and he even made a comment that there's a band name KANSAS recently performed on the same venue that it's only 300 went to see? so the number for JOURNEY's concert still way up compare to the others..so still great!!!

Is the crowds mostly filipinos? and did Arnel really shout "para sa mga pinoy"? i think for his own good and the image of journey, he should refrain in speaking tagalog as to not alienate the non-filipinos journey fans. It`s bad enough that he is being scrutinize by some fans for being in a an all american band, others are having hard time to accept him, so he should play his cards smartly if he wants to be in for a long time.
