hi im using 3d max for an A level project similar to this (not as good obvs) but im struggling to find decent models online for free such as these podracers, any hints? (ive tried google sketchup warehouse, 3Dvia etc.)

you should start with 3D studio max if you search USA 3D studi max you will find basic tutorials well written. But for any serious work you need training, and a course is right direction whatever subject you choose good luck

Great movie! If you don't mind, I am really interested in animation, but am not yet college age, can I ask you a few questions?

- Can you learn animation before entering college?

-Do colleges w/ programs of animation require portofolios?

- How did you get started in animation? With what programs and turorials?

this animation completed couple of years ago when rendering was problem, computer were slow but still looks fine, well done Neil etc.
