  • thank you for your reply.I remember i saw some french people speaking the 'ing' sound and i thought it was wrong.

I was taking a look for portuguese lessons in English and I didn't find.English is taught everywhere and eventhough you have a lot of views on your classes,so it means you are really good in doing this work.Congratulations!

    a hug from Brazil

  • i've watched your videos since a while and i really like them.Unfortunatly it's not a course for beginners. The people or students would love that if they understood.Well,i got curious about the sound 'g'at the end of gerunds. You pronounce that.I was always taught we shouldnt say this letter in the end of gerunds. Were my teachers wrong?Hope you have time to give me an answer.

  • Generally speaking the 'ing' sound at the end of a Gerund is pronounced as it is read. For example...Sitting Room is said with the 'g' sound fully audible. Also in certain accents the 'g' sound can be left out completely. You will notice with my accent that the 'g' is often heard quite clearly. In American English the 'g' almost disappears, while other consonants become more obvious, such as the 'r' sound in words such as 'red' and really'. Hope this helps. (Misterduncan)

  • I have no words! Keep your work up, you so nice.

  • thank you mr. duncan sooooooo much

    i'm deeply indebted to you

  • sorry , but what is the different between the words "stay healt" and "stay healthy" ??

    who can help me?

i accept some corretion if i have write wrong in somewhere...

  • Health is a noun and means to be well and not sick or hurt. "I have my health". If we are sick then we can say "I'm in bad health". The word "Healthy" is and adjective. "I feel healthy" if you are ok and "I'm not healthy" if you are sick or unfit. When we say "Stay healthy" we are saying that you keep your health. You look after your body, you "Keep fit". (Misterduncan)
