Hey where'd u get the clip of Storm saying "Shadow King"? It's her original voice actress instead of the redub, which is difficult to find, especially in a good quality.
@DirtyZ All the footage I used for this video was from VHS tapings of the original airings of each episode. So I pretty much have the episodes in their original, un-retouched forms. Even including the episode where Storm was a young white girl when shown in a flashback sequence about her claustrophobia.
Anyone see the japanese animated version of x_men that just came out a few weeks ago? The animation is really good. The story line is a lot more dark as well just like most anime.
@dmixwell LOL, my friends and I used to joke around and call each other "mutant garbage" randomly back in High School. Wow, this cartoon came out a long time ago!!
Nice man. That was funny. I like how you did Xavier, animated and live action. In the series almost everytime he used his powers, his head almost eXploded. "The Power!" Check out my vids.
The one thing i loved about the Xmen cartoon was that it had messages and subject matter that no cartoon would dare to show today. Hell, they had an entire episode based around religion where wolverine kept denying the exsistance of God....Now you can;t even show a fucking church on TV without getting shit from the soccermoms.
I'm with you on that one. I remember my mom even started taking the show seriously after seeing that episode with Nightcrawler. She started having some respect for Wolverine after that one. LOL
Not only that but the X-Men's main villain in the show was bigotry. And even better was that you could agree with Magneto's intentions where in other incarnations of the X-Men, he was just a straight-out villain.
The voice acting and all the characters made this a memorable cartoon show. In fact the only complaint I have is that Deadpool never made a full appearance on the show.
Loved when everyone was saying their names. OMG Xavier's part is so weird, lol! He seemed to seizure/collapse/haveaheartattack/faint/convulsion/yelllikealittlebitch very often. Wow it's amazingly edited and the music fits. There are so many awesome and memorable moments in this series. I always thought that line movie Storm delivers, about the Toad, is really silly. I mean, is it supossed to be witty or something? 'Cause eh... it's not.
LOL, I remember that line. My friends and I used to use variations of that when we were in high school. MEET ME IN THE CAFETERIA!! Damn I miss that cartoon. They need to release the entire series on DVD and they also need to re-release all of G1 Transformers on DVD as well.
I know, I know. The vid is actually one big inside joke with me and my friends about the cheesiness of the entire X-Men franchise in both movies and cartoon form. It's such a mature subject matter yet they choose to dumb it down for kids. Would love to see X-Men as an anime possibly handled by Madhouse Animation (the same animation studio responsible for Ninja Scroll) with full on violence and such.
you and your friends have a very keen sense of humor to have thought of this.....after watching this video I do see the "cheesiness" you refer to....still have to remember that the animated show(s) were targeted at a demographic not necessarily deemed "ready" for the Ninja Scrolls of the world (at least according to the FCC)......I do agree I would love to see Madhouse Animation or another similar studio with the right direction from Marvel put out a movie or 2
Good vidoe i really liked it >> u used awsoem Clips Def Fav i resally like the dave chapell!I like the ending with STorm She is my Fav X-men i am going to Sub to u hope you Can Sub Abck
