hey,i got the same amp(marantz 7200) and speakers (b&w 602s3),but i need a good cd player,i'm thinking about the marantz cd6003,does anyone here got that?
with only 800 pound do some research and buy some vintage gear because with that amount of money you could get a real good modern set of speaker cables only.

Nice mid priced system fella :-). I went for arcam alpha 9 cd when I had this very simular set-up. That marantz by the way is a really good work horse!! no matter what happens, never get rid of it :-)
Try using a nicer power cable. You wont bellieve the difference electricity makes for this setup. Just look for the best copper quality you can find for the buck.

the weak link are your boxes..why do people even bother to listen to ported or vented enclosures? sell the b&w's(bad and worse) and invest in a pair of Transmissionline design enclosures.
it will bring new life to your gear and you will hear far greater bass expansion and better depth.
Put some umph! in your stereo and get new speakers.
