He has 10 years older than me, because you see it go faster out of corners is simply the elastic effect because it accelerates a few feet ahead of me. I went faster in the corners and it shows in the end when we start standing still, I'm going to pick up after 3 turns. We had fun!
@westonator6 you have to get sponsored but for this to happen you must kart at proffesional championships with proffesional racers you know what i mean ;)
u r an amazing driver. i'm guessing the 215 was either lighter than u or just a tad quicker on the straits but u definitely owned him around the corners. awesome dog fight man!!!
yeah, the point is i am used to karting, made my own vids on them and what do you guess, not even close to this, and dont say; HUH BUT THATS BECAUSE YOU CAN DRIVE D:
cause i used a 250 cc 2-stroke kart. and even that one didnt looked like this. i
??? what type of shifting system is that? look like something a DD2 had with the shifter pads for 1 to 2nd. but this is 6 speed? u have no shifter rode?
@comlax22 they shift using a direct link to the gearbox. A clutch is used only on standing starts. Downshift on braking and to upshift you let go of the gas. All you do is push forward for downshift and pull towards you to upshift.
@comlax22 ME Shifter F1 mechatron. the keyword is F1!!! it's a sequential semi-automatic transmission like the paddle shifter that have been all the rage in super cars over the past decade or so.
you have a K9 engine too :) how did you set up the paddles? i used a length of teleflex cable and attached it to the side of my engine and the other end i attacted to the steering column it works okay but can be stiff. also i noticed you dont lift your foot when changing gear, everyone i know with a TMK9 flutters the gas when changing
the shifter karts have a clutch buts that is just for the stop and start segments. some karts like ROTAX uses a sliding clutch so when you stop its slides and the engine keps on running. then there is karts with no clutch at all that you have to run to start it :)
I don't trust in this shift system. i prefer the classic, because its funnier for me. If i wanted to have my two hands on the steering weel i won't changed my rotax to my current kz2. I understand what most of people likes this system, but guys... everytime you put your hand on the grearshift and pull of it, don't you feel something special?
Although - for me and my limited budget, I am glad that there is a KZ2 class as well :-)
The old style shifting is ok for me, but i really wished that it was allowed to cut ignition in for gear changes in KZ2, so you don´t have to take the foot off the gaspedal all the time.
Its true, its fantastic the fact that you keep speeded and change gear at the same time, although the current will take off from the reel automatically for 45 thousandths
At the end, the time for changing gear is the same, the advantage is that you can change wherever and whenever you want keeping the wheel tightly with your hands.
In KZ2 the use is allowed, In KZ1 I think that it isnt.
Watching this video you can understand how you can enjoy yourself driving a kart equipped with this type of gear. If you see, you can spare a lot of time respect to the other karts when you have to curve and change gear at the same time.

troppo facile.... troppo comodo

yes, I like it a lot.

KZ1 is the master class with use of softer tires than kz2, and nice gadgets like the semiautomatic gearchange.

when you need to shift while you are turning you only have to use left arm to drive and right to shift......
