I've completed both me1 and me2 as a male shepard. then because I hated the look of the custom males, and for reply value I began again as a femshep. And I must say the female voice actor is far better than the males. So I'm torn on what to start me3 with. As I am male myself, playing a chic dosent feel 100% right. But the female actor puts more emotion and feeling into the game....I will probably end up fliping a coin or something.

Hale is doing such an amazing work with FemShep, i started ME1 with 2 characters in parallel - A Male sentinel and a female vanguard (always loved the hybrid professions over the pure ones), after a few hours of gameplay with each of them, i couldn't stand listening to the male voice over, its so much inferior to the FemShep's...So here i am today, counting the days until i can finish the story of my vanguard FemShep in ME3.

It's a nod to the fact that Female Shepard is more than just the girl version of the default character. She's a character in her own right, however you might design her looks or play her in game. Thanks to Jennifer Hale and the BioWare writers, she is both avatar and character. She is FemShep, our favorite hero. femshep.com

@Suisai13 When you first let Grunt out of the tank, certain dialogue options will drag out the conversation to the point where Shepard has no choice but to shoot Grunt to get him to fall in line. (I can't remember which dialogue options are used though, sorry)

God, I hate FemShep so much. Jennifer Hale was such a terrible voice actor for the role. She's such an incredible voice actress, and has done a lot of great roles, but she just does NOT fit Commander Shepard's persona. I hate it. She's always too calm, and when she's actually yelling, it just doesn't sound right at all. She's an awful fit. And everyone agreed with me on this until JUST recently.
