@lordhelpyou not really, there's roughly 10million square miles of the earths surface water frozen (and that number is decreasing every year), if that were to all melt that would be alot of additional water, not to mention earthquakes causing land slides and uphevals etc. that displaces alot of water too.

@Spamazoid All that fresh water would force the land mass under the oceans to sink in some places but in other places the ocean floor would rise. much like a balloon that is slightly squashed on the poles, the middle expands, that is what is happening even now. The water is not rising, but lands are sinking. Islands are in special danger. The Coral Sea bed is in fact rising, so is the ocean floor near Timor.

This looks fairly accurate to me, esp. if you look at the maps in Dolores Cannon's book or Gordon Michael Scallion's. But I doubt that the Appalachians will be intact and above water. One map I saw showed an island in Western Virginia and an island in Western North Carolina. An island of Oregon will be saved. Also the Adirondacks in NY State. Basically the very high elevations.
