  • Steve Wright is and always has been a complete and total wanker

  • when you listen to the manafactured crap about today this sounds even better....AND they did'nt win X Factor :)

  • original music then and now

bands today copied al this good shit, but can even get near

  • I don´t understand english language so well, but the rithm the emotion they make my body feel illusion, emotion and good vibrations. I think they are as good to Pistols or more, For example "Thrue confessions" remember my .......Catholics are bad people to the human progress.Joy and cold beer.Forever.No restrictive policy can destroy our happiness.Health and Freedom to everybody.

  • What a great fucking lyric.

  • Lyrical Genius.....Simplicity

  • Dave always remember me steve marriot from small faces hahaha

  • Gonna see them in San Francisco and Oakland in a couple of weeks!

  • Real music!!

  • cant believe i was fifteen got all their records......

  • Feargal looks scarily like 1960s singer Dave Berry in this clip, same haircut same maniacal gleam in his eye...

  • For everyone saying that now we don't have good music and that kids don't know what music is, your wrong on the last bit. im 13 and i love them, their amazing, we all just have to keep our fingers crossed somebody as good as these, green day, adam and the ants, the who, somebody as good as them will come around in 2011

  • @00Manga0Lover00 well said, but you seem to have allowed 'green day' to infiltrate your comment

  • @active85858585 :P ah well, can't all be perfect ;)

  • Better than this rap crap we get today. The rap crap writers wouldnt have the brain to write this.

  • He does look like Ricky Hatton

  • Didnt know Ricky Hatton was a singer in the 70's...

  • I love the Undertones. I saw them in London a couple of years ago, so down to earth.

  • I love how their songs are short but very very sweet! :)

  • The Undertones had such a great sound, love this song it always makes me smile.

  • you dont realise how good the music was then!

  • Seen them last night in sandinos. 28th december 2009. UNREAL. Just pure class. Best band EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i bought this record when it came out played it often,i think the village voice critic described them as" intelegent punk".they rocked and you could mosh to there music, and it wasnt pink floyd or allm an brothers doo0bies blah blah blah

  • they were great! :o

  • My sister was in the crowd for this (just as the smug annoying text comes up). I remember seeing this and the Human league were on the very same show - doing "rock n' roll" i think

  • ...His mother bought him a synthesizer

Got the Human League (!) into advise her

Now he's making lots of noize

Playing along with the art school boyz!...

  • Krakenwave - "raw-boned, chip-shop-anaemic" LOL!

  • If Feargal Sharkey had looked more like a boyband clone - and there not at all like the expressively-mobile faced, raw-boned, chip-shop-anaemic, scrawny, scruffy little Derry alleyway get; then maybe The 'tones would have been AR'd up the arse: pushed as another mass-popular Noo Wave lot. Like the Boomtown Rats /The Police- type version of Pulp a quarter of a century earlier.

  • AMEN

  • jesus condems those who doubt i and we think your havin a rant get real mr negatori this tune is about the music not the video you dork

  • 'jesus' couldn't give a flying feck; nailed to tree, do you really think he sagged there sighing to the centurions: "Sodpot Smash Hits, why don't they push the Derry Boys instead of feckin Midge Ure?"

Jesus bitched at his mother, the rabbi, the temple occupants, the Romans, his disciples, sundry Judeans and Mary Magdelen FFS. Whiny get never stopped condemning if you like, so why should I?

  • Try reading the original post properly this time (and learning to count your words..?) re where/how I have a "problem with the band"...you'll be a long time. It says they were ignored by the popsters because they didn't look cute. That's called an objective observation, that. I saw them live 3 times btw. Your retraction and apology for calling me a cunt appreciated.

  • what a jumper!

  • He's thinks that I'm a cabbage cause I hate university challenge! Classic!

  • kevin used to beat me a subbuteo as i had a tiny hand shit in goal

  • Anyone know where i can find the moondogs. They supported the Undertones in 1980and had their own tea time show on granada tv shortly afterwards. Also a BBC documentary featuring bands such as rudi, p45, ex-producers.

  • Deadly!

  • I have gotta cousin called Kevin ... great band and part of the soundtrack of my teenager years.

  • The lyrics!

He will never be left on the shelf

Coz Kevin he's in love with himself

    What more do you need!

  • excellent Undertones - but what are the Undertones without FEARGAL SHARKEY ?????

  • That petrol emotion?

  • badum-tish

  • Answer: Very good in fact. Check out songs like 'Thrill Me' and 'Oh Please' from the album 'Get What You Need'. Paul McLoone has done a very good job as lead singer of The Undertones since they reformed in 1999. Also don't forget that all the original members of the band are still there, i.e. the guys who actually wrote the songs and played on them....

  • i'm a cabbage for this band!

  • undertones 4 life.

  • High among the best lyrics......"he always beat me at Subbuteo, coz he flicked to kick and i didn't know". Pure class. Thx 4 posting :}

  • "His mother bought him a synthesiser, got the human league into advise her" fucking genuis band and a sad loss when compared to the fucking drivel we have to endure today from an idiot generation obsessed by talentless, ugly people..

Ice Cold Idiots - Teenage Kicks

  • a classic

  • The legend...

  • rocker53zero, ????????????????? who cares is it really that important?

  • Ask the 12000 people who were terrorised into leaving the west bank if its omportant.

  • were you there?? man its the PAST!! it happin, ya cant change it, so theres no point dwelling on it-ya not think its about time to just leave as part of our history and see if we can just get on with each other for a change instead of saying this happin in 1960 and that happin in 1970

  • yes I was there, We lived in Bishop street and were forced to leave along with about 40 other protestant families. Anyway, as you say, Who cares????

  • mean i live in belfast and past the peace walls everyday of the week, and always look at and wonder when the day comes that there knocked down, we've some much in common yet so little keeping us apart

  • love this song. but forever sing the lyric 'his mother bought a synthesiser, plugged the human league into a bison' after hearing it sung somewhere. damn.

  • His mother bought him a synthesizer
