  • Was there that night and caught a bad case of Happy Feet.

  • wonderful playing from Bruce as always. I'm not used to hearing musicians taking solos in old time music; more from bluegrass. This seems like an interesting hybrid style.

  • sally ann, sail away ladies, even some versions of great big taters in the sandy land all sound very similar

  • I love Bruce Molskey! Going to miss camp this year, but hopefully, he'll be at next year's! You're the best!

  • Which camp? Mark O'Connor's camp?

  • Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Camp in Maryville, Tennessee!

  • thanks! Gonna start figuring it out today, gotta hear it to do so. You are a wonderful fiddler!

  • When was this song written?

  • How old is this song?

  • I'd say it was written at least 150 years ago. Written really isn't the word either. I'd say more along the lines it was created then.

    Jorsh.

  • I absolutely love this tune! I play this one on the hammered dulcimer. The chords you're playing, are they G-Em-C-G-G-Am-D-G?

  • yup - sail away ladies - followed by kitchen girl -great playing, great clip- thanks for posting
