  • Theyre funny

  • they wanted you to feed them not pet them.. that's why they were opening their mouths. i figure they're grown up by now but jsyk in the future in case you didn't already :)

  • My Momma and Poppa meep freak out when I play this.

  • Oh my gosh they are so cute! :)

  • WANT!!!@____@

  • Oh so cute. I love the way they chirp. My favorite sound in my finch aviary.

  • their twice as annoying as babies

  • oooooooooo how qute.

  • Come onnnnnn !!!1

  • hahaha i love this, so cute.. I had 4 baby finches, the parents raised them all on there own, and boy are they loud little things!!!!

  • I forgot how fun little baby meeps are. Had five zebras last year. Considering letting my society finches have a turn this year.

  • lol when you finger is near they are screaming

    "Pick me Pick me!"

soo cute and refreshing to see ^-^

  • this is so cute, my birds had five babies and when all 5 made the feed me noise at once, it was rather loud,

  • soooooooo sweet

  • What cuties!

  • lol I love how they think your finger is just gonna leak food into there mouths. Spolied brats xD

  • lol they remind me of my first few baby finchs they always cheeped into the night it was annoying but worth it

  • OMG SO CUTE!

  • sweet

  • thats terrable whats next gonna tease a baby ??? nice to see baby finches and all that but lets not turn their call for food into a trick

  • It's like a little kid asking for a snack. They don't need it, but who's going to pass up the opportunity for food?

  • I want to breed new birds , my birds are now ... well , not babys anymore. They are all 3 months or older . That means , they can malke babys.

Sry , for bad english ,i´m german and eleven :)

  • how are they doing now?

    (video was posted in 2006)

  • they died...

  • aww :(

  • yah...it died :( i knew we should have just left it, owell its at peace now.. i think it was hungry becuase it was chirping alllll day long then nothing ..we were giing it everything that i read about .. but owell!

  • how did u get ur birds to breed?

  • what do baby finchs eat please reply to me cuz my finchs layed 6eggs i dont nio what they eat when they hatch

  • The mother will feed them unless you're interested in hand feeding them.

  • what do pet finches eat? we found one on the ground with a broken wing ..nothing around it so we took it and it has had all its water but im not too sure about the pet finch food.. do they have something more?

its a baby and rather small

  • If it indeed has a broken wing, you'll want to get it to a wildlife rehab as soon as possible. Birds are very delicate, and pet finches (which are not American) eat a different diet than local wildlife. Pet finch food may not sustain it. If the wing is not broken, return it to where you found it as soon as you can.

  • you now that if u keep doing that for fun without food u now just stick ur finger there they will eventully stop doing that and start starving even if u try to open thee mouths hey wont they got used to getting nothing...

  • they weren't hungry they were scared i think cuz when birds chirp like that they are scared

  • I promise that they were hungry. At that point, they already associated hands with tasty formula.

  • no they do that when they're hungry. when they're babys they dont even know wut to be afraid of

  • @firedog3213 As you see they turn their head up to her finger, mine would do that to the adults when they were hungry.

  • @firedog3213 Nope not scared, when they open their mouths they are expecting food to be placed in their mouths.

  • i couldn't stop laughing, they are sooooo cute... like mine.... always hungry....

  • mine are like that too. the second they see me its all FEED ME FEED ME FEED ME. Even if I've just fed them.

  • nice baby birds

  • That has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen!

  • dedication thats good!

  • I'm in the position that I HAVE to raise my baby zebra by hand. He's about 10 days old and getting pinfeathers and "chunky" wings with pinfeathers. I'm worried he's behind developmentally also he's eating ever two and a half hours or so is that normal? I read in a few books every four hours the PARENTs feed but its formula he's getting not seed..

  • They're adorable!

  • God I hate that sound fledglings make when they are hungry---it makes me not want to breed--drives me crazy!!!

  • aww but think about how they'll be when they grow up!

  • how old were they then?

  • I think they were about three weeks old here.

  • oh ok

  • You use formula? Or did you let the mom regirgitate it? I have a baby finch and it eats from the mom. ANYWHO those finches are SO cute ^^

  • Is it alrigh too have 2 male zebra fincches

  • funny and cute babys, my zebra finch baby thought once that my finger was food to

  • yeah. what do you feed them???

  • wot do u actually feed your finch chicks though ????

  • HAHAHA they sound like space monsters communicating telepathically!

  • also how do you know if they are going to lay eggs?

My zebra finch puffs up and twists it neck.

  • My finches live in a cage... so how can it make a nest?

  • You would have to give it nesting material. Timothy hay is a good alternative to more expensive materials you can buy in a store.

  • can u use newspaper

  • my 2 pairs of zebra finches hav just built nests hav u any tips ?? and when do u think they'll lay ??

they started to make their nests about 3 days ago ..

  • You'd be better off asking the internet for details like that. Every nesting pair is different.

  • wow very cool, they're not scared at all. I remember that from when mine where young, you could just pick em up. Later on they get scared of people, did that happened with yours too?

  • No, because they were hand-fed. Morgan is the friendlier of the two and loves to sit on my shoulder and scream into my ear. He means well. :)

  • That was hilarious and sooo cute! :D

  • ...and yet so sad that they were THAT hungry! Aww.

  • They're so cute! I love them!

  • Oooh...I want to breed finches. Is it hard?

  • No, it's not hard; just time consuming.

  • that's very interesting. adult finches can put a good pinch on your skin if you give them an easy take.

  • They think that it will feed them. That noise is their "I'm hungry" cry.

  • do they think your finger will feed them, or are they scared of it?

  • .... or they want to bite yer finger off :-)
