God? Is this the same God that put us on this earth naked?? The godly way to look at someone is at their character and past their clothing. IMO. As long as you are clean, healthy and ready with a smile, your body is a suitable temple.
I know im a year late, Gr8 Vid!! i would like to add my two cents and I definitely agree with you Nina. I'm a plain Jane type of girl, white t-shirt and jeans and flats w/ no make-up, but i also know NOT to come outside looking crazy. my parents always tell me to look presentable wherever you go, it could be to the corner store, I think most ppl are not comfortable in their own skin. A lot of ppl are not putting god first and then loving themselves, I believe it all starts within. :D
Yessss!! This is what we need to hear!! I think if somebody leaves the house with their pj's on kind of look, this person is depressed. When I was depressed I did not care the way I looked. So when you don't care how you look you have to look deep inside you. We are no dolls, but you can look decently and nice.
Nina you are so real. You speak real words!! Keep up doing what you do, cos it is what we need to hear. You are waking people up! God bless you.
you are so right cause i use to not care mainly because as a young girl i would get followed on my way home from school so i decided to look as messed up as i can but now that i am older i realize it never went away but this year will be a new me.
I really LOVE your post.Your truely are a STRONG AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN.I am extremly happy to have had the opportunity to view your post. I am a single mother of three boys and one little girl, I graduate from haor school in 3months, It took me 6 years to build up the courage to go back and finish....LET ME JUST SAY THIS U HAVE INSPIRED ME TO KEEP GOING THANKS
This is great advice! it took me a few years to realize this! thats why in 2011 im trying to maintain my appearance better! im turn 17 in february of this year and man i have really let myself go...haha no wonder why I haven't had any boyfriends haha I mean i know appearanc isnt everything but I've been going to school with my hair all messed up clothes and face... school has gotten harder bing a junior and all but i've learned that thats no excuse! ( : great video!
i agree with everything your saying. when i'm wearing an outfit that expresses my style and personality, i've noticed a giant boost in my confidence. just like when i do my make up all nice and pretty, i am far more outgoing than when i haven't showered and through on a pair of sweats. sure it's not good to be obsessed with the way you look, but its great to incorpirate it into loving yourself as a mind, body and soul.
I agree with you 100%. People need to realize people judge them by the external and act accordingly. No one wants to get to know you if you look messy. First, people need to believe that they deserve to look good and then they will start to treat themselves better. I have the same argument with people too!
i hear what you are saying but some people have not reached your level yet. we don't know what they are going through for them to be looking llike that.appreances are like optical illusions. everything on the outside looks good but the inside of the house is damaged and empty. mayb beautyed to adress the true issue which is inside beauty
alll i can say.. good video. i hope that no one took offense to what she was saying because i did for the first 2 mins. but its the truth. love yourself and remember preparation meets opportunity. prepare for the life that you want to have. she definitely put a fire under my ass lol. so starting today im going to get my a-game.. thanks sista.
I am all for tough love and agree some people do not groom themselves that well. Remember though that some people have dreadful things that they are going through or have gone through, have not had good role models so by taking someone under our wing and give helpful and constructive advice. It is a shame that appearance is so important, more so than a good personality or a caring spirit. I am sure that when Port Au Prince in Haiti went down that was not the main thing uppermost in mind
Thank you for this video! I'm a senior in college and have spent my undergraduate years focusing on getting to know myself, growing, and loving myself. I do care about how I present myself, and when it boggles people's minds that I look nice solely because *I* want to look nice it really blows my mind. Have a blessed day!
Hi Skee Wee. I smiled when i saw the group pic. I pledged AKA in Florida and i join u as a confident Black woman. See my green winter coat on my channel. Nice to meet u!!!!
and I hate when people say...i dont care what people think about me...yeah right cuz if you didnt care what people think you wouldnt say it with an attitude...you just wouldnt say it in the first place
What about the less fortunate? People who use what they have but their clothes isn't as up-to-date or new as the fortunate ones. I agree with you 100%, but sometimes I have to remind myself "who am I to judge?", because I don't know what's going on in a person's life. I'm like you , I am very quick to let someone know if they haven't presented themselves properly or is showing too much when there is no need to.
This video was right on time sis. I can't seem to get it into my 11 year old son's head that when he walks out of this house he is judged by the way he is groomed, the way he smells and the way he looks. Be clean is what I always shout at him, but sometimes it is better heard coming from someone other than Mom all the times. Thank you Nina. SK, Esq.
You know I just watched this video yesterday and then went out in the middle of the day and 3 times I saw ladies doing their errands with hair bonnets lookin like they literally got out of bed and put their jackets on! So true!
Hey BBBD. i watch your videos all the time and I am a member of your website. With that said, I don't 100% agree with this video. Due to economic downturn a lot of ppl now can not afford to step out everyday lookin like they would like to. For instance, my first year in college I was so poor. I left my hometown with only few dollars in my pocket and nobody to support me so i could pursue my dreams of getting a college education. It was a time where I didnt have quarters to wash clothes.
so true Nina, you truely care about people because most people will not tell you things like this, they will just talk about you behind your back, so thanks once again...blessings to you! :)
@astrozier1 im not tryna be confrontational but we gotta learn how to present ourselves. bonnets are made for overnight haircare. if you dont know, learn. youtube has so much to offer, you have an account, save videos and try them on your own time.
@astrozier1 when i have to go out but don't kno what to do, i just take a scarf and twist it into a bun over my hair. it's what i'm about to do right now actually since i'm about to go to the dreaded Wal-Mart.
wal-mart is like an O.G. Junkie Bob family reunion these days, lol. won't see me looking like who shot john, tho:)
it is a hard thing to say but you said it well. Looks are not everything, they can not tell youif someone is a nice person and they can be deceptive but as a woman of color I do know I am judged by my white counter parts when I walk outside and as a college student trying to get an education I know how important it is to always look presentable. I try to have strong self worth so I can be beautiful inside and out.
You are so amazing and uplifting for this video! I appreciate your words .. and they came in time of need .. i'm definitely subscribing. Thank you so much. =)
this is a great video. Im the type of person who just doesn't care... ive always kinda been a sweat pants & tshirt girl once i got into highschool. And i felt like, people shouldn't care how i look, as long as i know that i am beautiful & can dress the part when needed to. It sucks that you get treated so wrong being big, so i always felt like who am i impressing. I love my sweats lol. But this is such a great vid & YOU DO have to take care of yourself.
It is true... we must practice the behavior of the person we desire to be, whether it is a fashionista or what ever it may be, in order to true BEcome what we desire.
omg, as I was sitting here looking like o.g. junkie bob, I thought to myself I have to get up and start taking care of myself better. I looked im the mirror and my hair was all over my head, my eyebrows are out of control and I look so tired, then I got on youtube and saw this, thank you!
Its starting to become eerie whenever I need to hear something I log onto Youtube and you have such an inspirational video that is subject specific to what I am experiencing. I actually went to work today and just throw on anything because I am in college and that is the environment. However, I want to thank you for being someone I can model myself after and begin to learn from because what you have experienced I am currently going though so Thank You again and continue to INSPIRE....
NO OFFENSE TAKEN TRUE WORDS SPOKEN AND THANKS FOR THAT MESSAGE AND KEEPING IT REAL OUR YOUNG PPL NEED TO KNOW THAT IS IS NEVER OK NEVER!!! OUR MATURE CROWD AS WELL CAUSE WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET AND PPL SHOULD TAKE MORE PRIDE IN THEMSELVES!! PREACH ON GIRL I LUV IT!
Issues with depression and self-respect can be an issue on why we may not take care of ourselves. If your mind is clouded, leaving out the house not presentable is nothing to them.
@Icblueskies777 : I agree that whether the depression is mild or substantial it can affect whether we feel like dressing more presentably. Some days it's hard enuf to get out of bed. This happened to me, but i felt God prompting me to GET UP & get out the house. That req'd me to do my hair, makeup, boots &earrings & get away fr those 4walls. So, i encourage you who r exper'ing depression (minor or clinical) to get dressed & go outside among other people & nature. U w/ feel better. God bless!
Thank you! Some young guy had the nerve to hit on me today with his tight pants hanging off his buttocks and he had the nerve to have a belt on to hold them at that level. All I could say in response to his compliment was "Your pants are falling down!"
you are so right on how to look presentable at all times.. because i know when i look bad it doesnt look good.. but i do like topic of when you said when you recieve complements on things you feel very happy.. i know when i see recieve a complement i like it
Also, as a Christian woman myself, I don't believe for 1 second God is pleased with His children walking around, careless and claiming to be a representation of His teachings. How could you be? I don't wear make up, and i dont get dolled up to go get groceries but u can bet i'm not in my pj's and sleep cap! I'm not selling sex, but i'm not looking like I have no one who cares about me either, cause I care about ME, and I am created in His image, so I am careful how i choose to represent that
@SouthernAndSexy89 I have to admit, being a stay at home mom of 4 girls, I tend to put myself last. Seems like when I finish giving their baths, doing their hair, homeschooling them, and just taking care of their well being (In addition to my Husband and Home cooked meals).I don't make enought time to make sure that I am looking right on a daily basis. But when I do, I am flirting more with my Husband, cracking jokes, and taking pictures of myself. Looking good makes you feel good..even at home.
So true!! I had an incident yesterday with this. Went to walmart looking like a mess, i saw the stares of people watching me crazy., I walked out the store, went home looked presentable, and went back to walmart. That was the first and last I will ever, ever, ever go out looking like a mess again!
THANK YOU!! its not about getting dolled up, or caked up w/make up, its about making sure the image u present to the world represents YOU and is one u can be fully confident in. If you cant even put forth effort n2 UR OWN temple there's no way u can be at ur best in other aspects of life, everything starts internally and radiates outward, and what u put out is what u get back. Put out an "idontgiveacrap" image, you get back "idgac treatment' ur not representing God or NE1 by lookin a mess.
I totally agree. If I see another person coming in the grocery store with pajama bottoms on I am gonna scream! I give them the side eye look! My granny taught me to always prepare like I may have to go the hospital! lol:)
Yeah I have the problem with the whole young thing. Even if I dress up... it's my voice that also sounds very young so..... yeah I look like a child trying to dress up like an adult:))
... Maybe that's just a symptom that more and more people are depressed ... Could be a symptom of an increasingly deeper, broader social malaise ... We ARE going through very tough times socio-cultural-political-economically after all ... My heart and prayers go out to folks! Stay strong ya'll! Love always redeems and overcomes in the end! :-)
Don't get upset about other people b/c you can only do you. Ppl will do as they please either way. I do agree that ppl should care ab their hygiene at the least. I wish more ppl would leave the house looking their best but at the end of the day I can only control what I do. I ALWAYS like looking nice too. Some days when you don't feel like dressing up atleast be presentable. As long as your clothes are clean and presentable. Great topic!
@L2BBqip Um she's not talking about getting dolled up for the grocery store, shes talking about not going out looking dirty and crazy. And I hate when people over use the saying "Who are you to judge." So over used these days when people do not want to hear the truth. She's not judging anyone just stating a fact. Even God wants us to take care of our body.
Thank u! I always try 2 look descent wen I leave the house! My husbby used to always b like "why u gotta do all that just 2 go 2 the store?" Til he left the house one day lookin like anything, then one of his 4rnds he hadnt seen in awhile seen him & was like, "man, u done fell off, u used 2 keep urself up" he was so upset wen he came home telling me about it, now I c him getting up putting on clothes & making sure he look descent jus 2 take the kids 2 the bus stop, so it makes a BIG difference!!
Thank you for this video. it;s much appreciated and much needed by all of us. I have always been kind about myself presentation but I have been slipping...life happened to me lol. Thank you for reminding me that life does not stop for me.
This vid is so on time! I was just talking to one of my besties about why women just let them selves go?? You cannot let yourselves go and look in the mirror and feel good about that? Why would you leave the house w/out brushing your teeth, washing your face, combing your hair, clothes too tight, PJ pants, slippers, etc? Are you serious? You don't have to be a fashionista but PLZ have some self respect!!!!
I know this video was not meant to be funny, but I was laughing so hard. I can tell you're very passionate about this topic. "I''m tired of seeing 17 and 18 year olds lookin like their 53!" LOL. I completely agree with you. It is important to look good for yourself. it's funny because when I look nice, I sometimes get asked if I'm trying to get a man. Why can't I look nice for me? Anyway, stay blessed.
GIRL YES!!!!! and LMFAO! OG junkie bob! and yes I love keeping myself looking tip top. Friends dont let friend look a hot mess! God it kills me when little girls parents let them go out of the house with their hair all standing on top of their head.
I have love for brothers (esp. young fellas) but I wish they would wear pants that fit properly- I don't understand wearing pants two or three sizes bigger than what you actually are.
Now flaunting and looking down on those that may be less fortunate then you or just being boastful is wrong...there's a difference. I may have to do a quick video response on this one. Great vid Nina! :)
It makes me sick when ppl say things like 'I've been focused on my spiritual life and not bring vain'" first of all if your serving a God looking a hot mess...I don't want to serve your god. If your growing spiritual in Him then you should automatically exude His love and light. Where's the fruit in your life and how are ppl going to see it if you look like 'who did it and why?!' being vain doesn't mean let yourself go and drift into hibernation from the world. Now flaunting and looking down on
@ShanaJaye I think people should do them. If it makes you happy to dress up so others wont judge you, or just so you will feel good...then by all means do you. For ME though....I've moved away from that. It doesn't make you better if you dress up or chose not to...it's just a personal choice. If a person is walking with God and is feeling called to let go of certain things...why should that make someone else sick? I don't care to please men/women anymore...I want to please God.
@nocturne1980 I agree with you. Black people spend too much money trying to keep up with the Kardashians and feed their false confidences. The same people you look down on could be an Angel in disguise or be YOUR testimony on how you treat others. Instead of wasting energies looking down on others, develop ways in which you can reach a hand out to help them. I can appreciate the "people of walmart dot com". Who wants to live in a world full of clones?
@nocturne1980 Oh my goodness, come on. She's not taling about dressing up, so stop bringing God into it. Taking care of your temple has to do with pleasing God as well. She's not talking about vainity, just simply taking care of your body and appearance. Dont use GOd as an excuse. I really doubt God wants his people walking around with their hair all over the place,or looking crazy. To do certain things in life, even in God, you have to look like a leader, not someone who doesnt care.
@nocturne1980 OMG!!! Thank you! I agree 100%. I love the video but at the same time, this is the wrong message. Yeah people judge others everyday, but that doesn't make it right. Society is sooo messed up. Honestly, I feel great about who I am and how I dress. Yes, I'm still in undergrad, but my everyday attire is some cute jeans and a cute tshirt. I have all the heels and dressy outfits, but that's not me and I will be damned if I wear it so others would not judge me. Thanks for posting!
@ShanaJaye Right! I hate that too. Taking care of yourself has nothing to do with vainity or materialism. People are using God as an excuse to not take care of themselves. You can take care of yourself and look washed and neat and still be a humble Christian.God wants his people to look like leaders, people that look like they love and care about life, and care about themselves.
When I saw that this was 12 mins long I thought.....IDK if I want to sit through a 12 min video. BUT once I started watching I couldn't stop lol. We should call you Minister BBD :)
Amen! I agree with this 100%! My mother always cared about the way she looked and she instilled that within my brother and I. Now I'm not saying I'm dressed up all the times, but I always have to 'look like something' if I'm going somewhere-even to Wal-mart.
Personally I know I have not been concerned about my looks for a while now. I have excellent hygene, but as far as appearances...I have stopped. I have been on a spiritual journey and it's leading me further and further away from vanity. We are judged by our appearances by vain people. I'm feeling disconnected with this world and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm drained by all these superficial unGodly things. Our body is a temple in the spiritual sense...so stop sinning.
@nocturne1980 I feel that someone who is going to mistreat me or dismiss me because I'm not g'd-up....well I'm glad that they are showing me their hearts in advance. Like I said...I keep it clean, shower, wash my hair, clip my nails, brush/floss my teeth, etc. I've reached the stage were I don't care like I did when I was trying to impress people. Now that being said...love your look in this video and your hair is quite lovely.
@nocturne1980 I think what you are saying is the point she's trying to make. I agree I dont maintain any look to impress people. but it makes me feel good to put effort into something that's important to me internally, externally, mental and physical. when im at my best i give my best so I don't think giving up on your apperance is the answer to a vain society, instead find a way to balance it and yourself so you are not compromised but still can hold your own w/confidence
@nocturne1980 Thanks! and honestly, I hate when people say when others compliment you, it makes you feel better. WHAT???? That is so not true because if you truely know who you are and love yourself 100%, that compliment will not matter. A lot of the times, people lie! It's just sad that we have people out here who claim to be christains, but they are the ones judging others. Come on people, do what ever is comfortable for you! I love your post!
@ccudiva2010 i derstand wher you are coming from but if you want to put God in the equation then we where made to want conformation and love from others. but if you dont know who you are in Christ it is totally differen. alot of people walk around and say that they have confidence but they dont kknow who they are in Christ. it is nothing wrong with feeling good about a complaiment some one gives you. and it does matter even if you think you know who you are and think you love yourself.
@mjjcng8958 where does it say that we were made to want confirmation form others? Love? definitely yes but when it comes down to outwardly appearance people should still show love and try to uplift a person no matter what. I agree that our temple is precious and that we should take care of it, but i also believe that people should love and accept us for who we are regardless of what we may look like on the outside. You can look as good as ever and someone will still have negative to say!
I agree with you 100%, but with the way the ecomony is, people losing jobs, their homes, just life period, more people are suffering from depression. They may want to do all these things u r saying, but when one suffers with depression just getting out of bed is a challenge. That said, what u speak is very true and I hope to strive to love myself more and care for myself. Thank u
I have been feeling EXTREMELY down on myself lately and have not been taking enough pride in my appearance, clothes, etc., too busy focusing on the negative and hating myself. But this video has inspired me to stop the pity party and start taking better care of myself - eat better, work out, get my hair, makeup, & clothing game on lol.
You have such a wonderful, positive, beautiful spirit/energy, & this was a great topic to cover - nice source of inspiration. Thank you so much for this video!
"I tell my friends all the time, You got a booger in yo nose" LOLOL. That had me crackin up.
Greatt Videoo as always <3333
I might have to get my mom to watch this.. she doesn't care about her appearance most of the time. He favorite line is also , "I don't have anyone to impress.. or.. I already have my husband, so I don't care what anyone thinks"
I needed to watch this video. I have recently been slacking on my appearance. I would just leave the house wearing sweats and flip flops. I would use that same excuse, "I already have a man, I don't need to impress". Wake up call: I need to impress myself! Thank you for waking me up and allowing me to realize again that my body is a temple and I am a tresure. I deserve to be taken care of.
My goodness, you are so on point. It absolutely infuriates me when I see men and women, especially african americans running around looking absolutely horrendous. I have a younger sister and I can't tell you how much I stress this topic to her. Her normal response is "I'm not rich", do you have to be rich to wear clean pressed clothing before walking out the house?? It really is embarrassing. So I'm totally with you on this topic. Thanks.
If anyone is offended by this message, then it may be exactly what they needed to hear and I hope they take heed. As the old saying says "A hit dog will holler".
Hey namesake! I totally understand what your saying although everyone has a unique situation. Some people may not have the money or the time to keep up with their looks but I agree with you that we should all do the best we can to keep ourselves together. You have inspired me to pay more attention to the way I look because I am guilty of using the excuse I have no one to impress.
@millionata001 there's always someone to impress..yourself! i was raised by a single mom who had no money to get her nails done or hair but she always looked good because she took care of herself and it was a great lesson for me and my siblings to learn. ur life is an occasion. rise to it!
God? Is this the same God that put us on this earth naked?? The godly way to look at someone is at their character and past their clothing. IMO. As long as you are clean, healthy and ready with a smile, your body is a suitable temple.

Hey BBBD. i watch your videos all the time and I am a member of your website.

Issues with depression and self-respect can be an issue on why we may not take care of ourselves. If your mind is clouded, leaving out the house not presentable is nothing to them.
Icblueskies777 1 year ago 13
@Icblueskies777 : I agree that whether the depression is mild or substantial it can affect whether we feel like dressing more presentably. Some days it's hard enuf to get out of bed. This happened to me, but i felt God prompting me to GET UP & get out the house. That req'd me to do my hair, makeup, boots &earrings & get away fr those 4walls. So, i encourage you who r exper'ing depression (minor or clinical) to get dressed & go outside among other people & nature. U w/ feel better. God bless!

I'm not selling sex, but i'm not looking like I have no one who cares about me either, cause I care about ME, and I am created in His image, so I am careful how i choose to represent that
SouthernAndSexy89 1 year ago 32

That was the first and last I will ever, ever, ever go out looking like a mess again!
curiomeeks 1 year ago
THANK YOU!! its not about getting dolled up, or caked up w/make up, its about making sure the image u present to the world represents YOU and is one u can be fully confident in.

@L2BBqip Um she's not talking about getting dolled up for the grocery store, shes talking about not going out looking dirty and crazy. You don't have to be a fashionista but PLZ have some self respect!!!!
mpenny226 1 year ago 2
I know this video was not meant to be funny, but I was laughing so hard. I can tell you're very passionate about this topic. "I''m tired of seeing 17 and 18 year olds lookin like their 53!" LOL. I completely agree with you. It is important to look good for yourself. it's funny because when I look nice, I sometimes get asked if I'm trying to get a man. Why can't I look nice for me? Anyway, stay blessed.

Now flaunting and looking down on
ShanaJaye 1 year ago
@ShanaJaye I think people should do them. If it makes you happy to dress up so others wont judge you, or just so you will feel good...then by all means do you. For ME though....I've moved away from that. It doesn't make you better if you dress up or chose not to...it's just a personal choice. If a person is walking with God and is feeling called to let go of certain things...why should that make someone else sick? I don't care to please men/women anymore...I want to please God.
nocturne1980 1 year ago
@nocturne1980 I agree with you. Black people spend too much money trying to keep up with the Kardashians and feed their false confidences. The same people you look down on could be an Angel in disguise or be YOUR testimony on how you treat others. Instead of wasting energies looking down on others, develop ways in which you can reach a hand out to help them. I can appreciate the "people of walmart dot com". Who wants to live in a world full of clones?
SeattleMocha 1 year ago 2
@nocturne1980 Oh my goodness, come on. She's not taling about dressing up, so stop bringing God into it. Taking care of your temple has to do with pleasing God as well. She's not talking about vainity, just simply taking care of your body and appearance. Dont use GOd as an excuse. I really doubt God wants his people walking around with their hair all over the place,or looking crazy. To do certain things in life, even in God, you have to look like a leader, not someone who doesnt care.
cedamouse 1 year ago
@nocturne1980 OMG!!! Thank you! I agree 100%. I love the video but at the same time, this is the wrong message. Yeah people judge others everyday, but that doesn't make it right. Society is sooo messed up. Honestly, I feel great about who I am and how I dress. Yes, I'm still in undergrad, but my everyday attire is some cute jeans and a cute tshirt. I have all the heels and dressy outfits, but that's not me and I will be damned if I wear it so others would not judge me. Thanks for posting!
ccudiva2010 1 year ago
@ShanaJaye Right! I hate that too. Taking care of yourself has nothing to do with vainity or materialism. People are using God as an excuse to not take care of themselves. You can take care of yourself and look washed and neat and still be a humble Christian.God wants his people to look like leaders, people that look like they love and care about life, and care about themselves.

Our body is a temple in the spiritual sense...so stop sinning.
nocturne1980 1 year ago 3
@nocturne1980 I feel that someone who is going to mistreat me or dismiss me because I'm not g'd-up....well I'm glad that they are showing me their hearts in advance. Like I said...I keep it clean, shower, wash my hair, clip my nails, brush/floss my teeth, etc. I've reached the stage were I don't care like I did when I was trying to impress people. Now that being said...love your look in this video and your hair is quite lovely.
nocturne1980 1 year ago
@nocturne1980 I think what you are saying is the point she's trying to make. I agree I dont maintain any look to impress people. but it makes me feel good to put effort into something that's important to me internally, externally, mental and physical. when im at my best i give my best so I don't think giving up on your apperance is the answer to a vain society, instead find a way to balance it and yourself so you are not compromised but still can hold your own w/confidence
SouthernAndSexy89 1 year ago
@nocturne1980 Thanks! and honestly, I hate when people say when others compliment you, it makes you feel better. WHAT???? That is so not true because if you truely know who you are and love yourself 100%, that compliment will not matter. A lot of the times, people lie! It's just sad that we have people out here who claim to be christains, but they are the ones judging others. Come on people, do what ever is comfortable for you! I love your post!
ccudiva2010 1 year ago
@ccudiva2010 i derstand wher you are coming from but if you want to put God in the equation then we where made to want conformation and love from others. but if you dont know who you are in Christ it is totally differen. alot of people walk around and say that they have confidence but they dont kknow who they are in Christ. it is nothing wrong with feeling good about a complaiment some one gives you. and it does matter even if you think you know who you are and think you love yourself.
mjjcng8958 1 year ago
@mjjcng8958 where does it say that we were made to want confirmation form others? Love? definitely yes but when it comes down to outwardly appearance people should still show love and try to uplift a person no matter what. I agree that our temple is precious and that we should take care of it, but i also believe that people should love and accept us for who we are regardless of what we may look like on the outside. You can look as good as ever and someone will still have negative to say!
