i remember this song on the radio driving to and from work in topeka, kansas in the spring of 1982...i was a student at washburn university at the time...
I am sorry, I mistakely thought you were referring to another song. Yes, this is a full length song (Finally). This is all I have on Mr. T.G. Sheppard.
I am not sure. I like this song too. The problem is that TG was singing a medley of several songs and each song was only about one minute long. I have never seen another program with TG. I will continue looking. However, he is not on TV as much as I would like.

What a fantastic song ! I remember polishing a lot of belt buckles to this great country classic.

You can download the album version on Amazon. It is an incredible song. This and Slow Burn are my favorites by him.

This is good to see him sing live. I do like the record better though, better music & vocals. Is there a video of the original recording?

Studio version hit #1 country, #17 AC, #58 pop in Billboard. Written by Christian singer Gary Chapman. God bless!

This is TG's best song along with Slow Burn and Devil in the Bottle. All three of these songs blow away anything on the charts today.

Great cover of a song originally written by Gary Chapman (Amy Grant's ex.)
