"Beyond Good and Evil" inspired me to pursue video game design ever since the first time that I beat the game. It was the first title that would not let me let go of the controller as the story immersed me into a world of fighting for good against evil. A truely remarkable experience playing that adventure "Beyond Good and Evil". Years and years after the release of this game, I am beginning to notice the popularity of this game is finally growing, and so am I.

I'm an amateur game designer but I want as much distance between me and these indie "designers" as possible. I've played thousands of video games, and I can tell you that the indie crowd is doing NOTHING new. All the indie "designer" does is explore the shallow cavity of their cranium for things that were old by the late 1990s.

I'm an amateur, but at least I'm not claiming to be something I'm not.

I like what these guys had to stay, though. Especially when it comes to the gaming with choices. But that's just me. I like all kinds of games.

I will say you are right about indie crowd claiming to be original. I don't think any game can claim to be original, anymore. You can associate any game with a previous game one way or another. Even though some games are not completely original, doesn't mean they can't be fun.

i somewhat agree with this video, but what i find very worrisome is that so many people make no moral judgement about certain games out there. you can go "it's all art" or assume that disturbing experiences of certain games wont mess with our culture in one way or another, but that's not a very responsible way to think. people need to learn that just because their friends are playing a certain game, they don't have to agree with that. it's peer pressure that hinders many from proper reflection.

@yc323 Not really, the global awakening really started with the true freedom of the internet. No questions there. Also the time schedule thing in China was because of addiction (for WoW) And some parents complained so they added this ingame schedule and they made a big deal about it. Sure u influence people, but not in bad ways, it does not promote killing, it promotes KEEPING killing/wars and shit in a sporting enviroment or in a virtual one, just like rugby doesnt promote knocking people over.

Gaming will give you the right values, it gets u close to information, gets u alot of friends u wouldnt else have met, makes u meet people from different cultures; removing national barriers, hate, greed and racism! It keeps crime off the streets. and of course its not the worlds fastest growing sport! E-sports. I just think its great. Skyrim, is simply amazing :) An adventure in every sense of the word.
