How did Bush steal the election?

The new season of American Idol premiered.

The unthinking majority have themselves to blame as much as George Bush and the Neoconservative loonies who hijacked the US in 2000.

In video #1 of this report, I find it perhaps plausible that Bush's handlers used secret technology that allows them to know the future outcome of future dates and by knowing that future outcome, they alter the present. The present is the past to any date in the future and by changing the present, they altered the future. What caught my attention was the criminal names from the "Future". Also not mentioned here....Dan Rather did a special for HDNET which interviewed a dozen workers at a paper plant that made the paper used for the ballots in the 2000 Florida Election. They all reported that shortly before the election they started using inferior paper - paper that was used for the punch card ballots.

Not sure understood the write-in point. What was wrong with the instructions? Regardless, why didn't the Florida Supreme Court rule to count overvotes as well as undervotes?

If all this is true, than why isn't Jeb Bush being prosecuted or even rebuked? Could he still be prosecuted? What actions need to be taken to accomplish this? Was it just unethical or was it illegal?

The Supreme Court shouldn't have stepped in to begin with, and they did declare Bush the winner by stopping the recount that they actually had no legal authority to stop. They were recounting the WHOLE STATE, you Repukes couldn't stand it because you knew you would lose.

Bush didn't steal the election. Look at the 12th amendment. Bush received less popular votes, but more electoral votes. It's only happened twice in the history of the U.S. Do your research before you make yourself look ignorant.

@soul416 They weren't counting the overvotes though, and this is one of the problems cited by the majority five of the US Supreme Court. Actually would have been big advantage to Gore to do so (i.e., Duval county), so don't know why the Florida State Supreme Court failed to order such a recount.

Hello mo-Repo, he DID steal the election. It is REQUIRED by LAW that if an election returns under the .5 difference between the 2 candidates, there is a RECOUNT. period. Gore didn't have to ask for anything, it's LAW already. He asked for them after the initial recount because those counties stated that they didn't recount them, which is ILLEGAL. They gave him the entire state to recount anyway, and AGAIN the Republicans(you) bitched and moaned and got the recounts stopped every time.

@soul416 ....and 18 counties did not comply with Secratary of State and Division of Election standards and procedures to run their ballots through the machines a second time (just checked memory cards). So the machine recount did not recount 1.58 million votes.

Bush did not steal the election. The vote was really close, but he did not steal. Gore asked for recounting, but only in a few counties of Florida, instead of the entire state. Selective recounting is not allowed in an election. Why? If something is wrong in one part of a state, then something else could be wrong in the rest of the state. When the Supreme Court stepped in, they did not declare Bush the winner, they just ended the recounting. Recount the whole state or forget about it.

@michaeljackson200 Gore wanted to but couldn't count all 67 counties because Florida does not have a system for a statewide recount. Each county has to be asked and each county must agree and sample 1% of its ballots to dertimine in their judgment whether a recount is warranted. Due to the recount deadline such a statewide recount was not possible. Selecting just a few counties was not against Florida State law.

well not fair and square but he won. the outcome in not relevant, what is relevant that republican officials were making typing mistakes that mysteriously only affected the constitutional right to vote of afro americans. the people didn't got the change to vote, there was no apologie and now the ballot is replaced for a votingmachine. there is a lot of shit going on with the votingmachines and the procedure is unreliable, i would use internationl observants next election.

i am not american, the idea of international observants is unamerican. when china will sell all her dollars and the dollar will devaluate, decouple chinese economies from dollar economies by supporting the iranian iniative to sell oil in euro's, stops accepting dollars and will demand an x number of dollars in gold, there probaly will be a revolution, but not just one, it will be complete anarchy as in the russian civilian war.
