主要是这部片子的大多数打斗都是步战，对于动作指导来说很好发挥­，毕竟民间的武术家不少，袁和平（我记得他好像就是这片的指导）­自身也有很高的水平。

三国基本上都是马战，这个年头，我相信懂得骑马打仗的已经没几个­了。

I thought the series was pretty well-done other than the fact that, yeah, it was rushed towards the end. after they set their ranks formally in Ch71 it just all went downhill after that anyway. I hated reading about Song Jiang selling out his brothers. Man what a cop-out I hate that guy. I really didn't understand why in the book he's so famous and everyone worships him when really what's he done anyway? Other than give money to people when they needed it but just about everybody did that....

This series of Water Margin had all the makings of a great show, but they cut costs, time and rushed it from the middle to the end. So the story doesn't flow very well and very different from the book (depending on which version).

there's a theory by chinese scholars that the author of three kingdoms novel is the same man as the author of water margins. to these scholars, three kingdoms is number one classic chinese novel, water margins number two.

That theory is not correct. The theory is linked to the fact that both authors were Hakka (Central Plains) people.

and have same writing styles, Shi Nai'an wrote 2/3 of Water Margin, Luo Guanzhong the last 1/3, but due to the similarity, people believe that Shi Nai'an was just another name Guanzhong used. Next to nothing is known about Nai'an, so the theory could be right.

yang zhi in real life when he did this was at least 50 years old. if u didnt notice he was the bad guy in the shaolin temple starring jet li, which was like in 1982. in this its in the late 90s, like 1997 or something like that. so its pretty amazing that he could still be good at gung fu and still make movies.
