  • I spent 118. Dollors doing this hair treatment. The emu oil was 21.50 2oz alone. The black see was 19.99. 4 oz The msm 4 oz was 14.99.. the pepper mint oil was 8.99 .5 oz.. the Rosemary was 5.99 .5oz.. the lemongrass was 6.99 .5 oz.. the vegetable glycerin was 9.99 8 oz the vitamin e oil 10.99 hemp oil was 9.99 the spraybottle 2.00 I used an empty old dropper bottle for her oil mixture

  • @lovelylady0200 Honestly, if you speent $118 in a way, you got off both good AND bad. After watching this video, I too hunted down the ingredients and WHOA NELLY!!! This stuff was EXPENSIVE. Though, it CHEAPER to buy larger quantities of certain things. Ex. U paid $10.75/oz of Emu oil, but if you bought it by the gallon ($200) it's like $1.65/oz. Same with black seed oil. Bulk is always cheaper, but then there's having the money upfront. It's a catch 22, but worth the expense in long run.

  • Can this be used in relaxed hair, that uses dye to cover grey? Also Which ingredients might be good to take out of recipie.

  • I'm doing the scalp oil as we spek but i notice as my hair is in corn rows that the rubber bands are disintergrating.... is that going to happen to my hair too?

  • You mentioned that it might work depending on you hair type, so i was wondering..what hair type are you?

I just found out that I'm 4b, do you think it could work for me?

  • your hair looks nice. how did u know to add all these products together? and.. not tryn to be nosey but are u of mixed race? will that work on regular blk folks hair?

  • i love this vido

  • i wish i could use the water concotion but my hair is relaxed. OH WELL!

  • omg I love this stuff for my babies hair and my hair it left my hair so soft. thankyou

  • My hair already feels so much softer just after a few hours of using the glycerine spritz. . I am going to try your oil mix but I couldn't find the black seed oil at either of my local health food stores, so I'll have to order it online.

Your hair looks amazing! Thank you for sharing your pearls of wisdom!

I'm going to report back in a few weeks to let you know how my hair is progressing!

    Blessings to you!

  • Basically my question is What should I expect? I did this to the letter of the word.. But i still have to put Gel In My hair.. What to Do? What should I see thus Far.. 3-4 week.. I cant just wear my hair down and natural like yours.. I slick and stick it in a bun..

  • I started using these exact ingredients for 3 weeks now. I dont know what to expect? I tweeked it a lil & used a actual piece of aloe vera plant as well as the gel. Im still havin a lil to much shedding? I also use in conjunction with pro style gel because my hair is thick & unmanageable. My hair is curly where its not dead hair.. i say dead hair because my hair went thru this thing last year and it decided to break & die after using Ovation & the mega tek.. it grew inchs but it shed bad

  • Do you sell the spray?

  • hi i had cut my hair off at the end of 08 in nov. and my hair hasent grown that long ever since. it goes a little past the back of my neck.and i need it grow a little past my armpit.and i am a 4a to a 4b. so please can you help me with this.

  • omg please help...where can i find MSM POWDER??? CVS? WALMART?

  • @QUEkstep You can order from amazon.com

  • @QUEkstep I found MSM at Walmart for 9 dollars. They were capsules. I just took them apart and dumped the powder into a bottle so it can be more accessible.

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • this video was great, im going to try this, but why used distilled water? is it ok to use water from the sink or which? haha

  • i love love love the msm distilled water concoction. i have been using it for 2 months and have had 2 inches of growth. natural whole foods store was out of rosemary oil, so i never put it in (and still had growth). but now since i know and understand preservatives i will be adding it from now on. Haven't tried the growth oil yet, but i will.

  • how did you find out about all the natural products to use and what products that works best with eachother?. i'm interested in trying this but as of now a have relaxed, colored hair that i want to grow out. plus my hair texture is very fine and thin. can i use this on chemical treated hair and will this help thicken my hair?

  • Your hair is amazing! where do u get all these oils and stuff?

  • will can i use the peppermint and rosemary extract instead of the oil?

  • can this be used on relaxed hair or natural hair

  • can you apply that directly to your hair?

  • what does MSM, and rosemary do?

  • @rebellipstick MSM promotes growth and softens the texture of hair making it supple. Rosemary promotes growth.

  • Love your videos. Will definitely try both products. Since I have some of the essential oils, it should be easy purchasing the other products. Question: Do you still use the Qhemet Biologics along with your own home made products. I have type 4c, thin, dry brittle hair. The Indian powders together with my conditioner has helped to stop breaking. Would welcome any additional insights.

  • I have been using this spray for a month and my hair has grown about a 1/2 inch. thank you love it and my hair seems to be much stronger.

  • Do you find that spraying the (MSM) concoction in your hair,is the most efficient method.I myself am planning on making my own recipe as well.I only wish to apply it to my scalp, and that maybe a tad difficult when I spray it on.Do you always add distilled water to your method. Please tell me you have ever added emu oil,to your msm concoction.I've read that emu oil is a carrier oil,and I would not wish to have any adverse effects from the msm, when or if it is mixed with emu oil.

  • Do you use the vege glycerin mix for moisture or strength too?

Is the emu oil a protein?

  • I started mixing the msm powder in my own version of a liquid leave-in conditioner. My natural new growth grew from from 1/2" in late Feb-mid March to 2" maybe 2.25" as of June 10th!!! Thanks bornasiatic1! I'm still trying to get the last of my ingredients for the hair growth oil. Since I took your advice on the msm powder and liked the results, I'm going to quickly get the rest of the ingredients for the oil. Be blessed!

  • Thanks for sharing. Will try it all out. hug.

  • Thank you so much for sharing. I wasn't sure if MSM was safe (something I read years ago - stupid)

Anyway, I really appreciate you taking the time to put up this video and share your experience.

  • I just want to thank you again for posting this video, I'm sooo in Love with my Hair!!! I have been using a modified version; distilled water, aloe vera juice, rosewater & msm, its working out great!! This moisture spritz in combo w/ protective styling & dusting my ends, has helped me sooooo much in getting my hair where I want it to be, truly THANK YOU!!!

  • you have beautiful hair!!!!

  • OMG, I had to share this... Minus the MSM powder... This is a Multi-Purpose Spritzer... Not only is it good for your hair... But, it makes a great Body moisturizing Spritz and or facial spritz... Just change the essential oil... Or your favorite fragrance oil... After I wash face with clay I spritz this on face and it leaves face with a youthful glow... People keep telling me I have a glow about me.... Blessings....

  • I purchased all items and currently using them. For the spray, especially, I use once perhaps twice a day and I must say that my hair is very soft at the roots. I hair is braided so I am using it on my scalp and some down the braid when my hair ends. I braided my hair approx 3 weeks ago and because it is braided, I will be able to detect how fast my hair is growing. I will let you know. Right now, I am loving it!!

  • Where to buy MSM powder?

  • GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Vitacost, HEB

  • Hey just want to let you know i made the veggie glycerine spray only been using a week makes my super curly dry hair so soft and manageable detangles very well thank you so much dont need to search for a detangeler anymore keep you posted on the growth in about 3 months love you girl we have alot in common. Peace

  • your hair is sooooooo beautiful i just love it I will definately try these hair recipes

  • Hey love your hair, will your concoctions work on very coarse hair. My hair has not really grown and I have been natural but wearing braids. I want to take out the braid and go natural but I am just concerned about the coarse texture and what to actually do with it.

  • Hey love your hair, will your concoctions work on very coarse hair? My hair has not really grown and I have been natural but wearing braids. I want to take out the braid and go natural but I am just concerned about the coarse texture and what to actually do with it.

  • Awesome! Thank you, and you hair is amazing!

  • Thanks for sharing this video I have thick hair and was told that sulphur would dry my hair out is MSM the same. Tell what you think, I am trying to grow my hair as long as I can. let me know if you can help

  • Hello,

Thanks for sharing this video I have thick hair and was told that sulphur would dry my hair out is MSM the same. Tell what you think, I am trying to grow my hair as long as I can. let me know if you can help

  • i dont know much about hair so please exscuse me if my folowing question seems kinda stupid... but can this make someones hair fall out or start breaking out? im thinking about makeing it and using it on my boyfriends hair.

  • Hi love your hair, was wondering i saw hemp seed oil as one of your listing for

your scalp oil but for your demonstration you used vitamin E so do you use hemp seed oil in it or do you alternate between the vit E?

  • @Yakiniful When I have hemp oil I use it. all of the oils I use as I have them. Sometimes I'll leave an ingredient out and when I get some I'll add it in. These recipes aren't set in stone. Use what you have but this is just a basic recipe. Experiment and have fun.

  • Can this be used in relaxed hair, that uses dye to cover Grey? If not, can some of the products be left out so that it is better suited for relaxed color-treated hair? Any ideas?

  • Hey bornasiatic1, I was wondering how many mg do you have in your msm, because I'm looking to try things that help my hair grow and stop most of the shedding?!?! Thanks take care, and much love!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I have the MSM capsules not the powder. The capsules are 1000mg each how many should I use to make this mix?

  • I am only a month in of my second attempt at growing natural. First time was horrible because I let it grow under damaged relaxed hair. This time its softer, more shine, overall better texture. I looked up all the ingredients on Amazon and it was over $100 before shipping. Shipping would most likely be individual to each item. I think thats really high. How long does the mix last/cost you?

Oh yeah I looked at your older videos and it looks like your hair has grown almost a foot in a year or so.

  • Is your hair all natural? How long have you been growing it?

  • @alysseleigh I have been natural for about 9 years. I have been growing it, cutting it, growing it (etc) for that long.

  • you might of said it already but where do you buy all these different products from can i get it from wal-mart?

  • @VANCAP22 check the info box, I listed where I bought my ingredients.

  • beautiful long hair and healthy! subscribing NOW!

  • @Imisset2 Thanks. I've slacked on the vids big time.

  • how to u make msm ?

  • @YOxthecutiexYO You can't make it you buy it.

  • @bornasiatic1 so where do you do you buy it ? =)

  • pleas dont take offense...but i am wondering what is your nationality?? i'm wondering because i am fully black and you know we all have different hair textures...will this work for me???

  • @EvErSoSeXi I'm Fully Black too. It's worked for me and I hope it works for you. I had to play around with the amounts of some of the ingredients to taylor to my needs. You may have to do the same.

  • I did this a few months back and it works!! where I messed up was using TAP water instead of Distilled water. I didn't realize that my area has HARD water, and it really messed up my ends spraying it on everdaay, so I had to cut a lot off :(

This time I'm going to use Distilled water, aloe vera juice, glycerin & MSM only. I'll check back.

  • @hondahx Let me know how the distilled is working for you.

  • This concoction looks great but have you received feedback from people who have a 4 hair grade? This will definitely play a huge part in the outcome of the condition. Thanks,

  • Ok...this is my first day using this mix and so far so good. It smells wonderful and my hair looks healthier already. Ill update you in one month to let you know how much my hair is growing. I am in the transitioning stage and I have not yet done the BC. I am hoping to do it on September 26, which will be one year without perming my hair :-)

  • THIS IS ALL TOPICAL.u dont drink it?or eat anything?

  • Please can you list all your ingredients I can't see them on the video

  • @ireporttwo, she did list the ingredients on the side bar.

    HHG!

    ~~GTL2010~~

  • Hey i just did my big cut today, and i was wondering if you would emial me the ingredients to your concoctions? I would really appreciate it my speakers are out . Thanks!

  • One question, is it okay to use Brita filtered water instead of distilled water? I ordered all of the ingredients to make the Veggie Glycerin spray.

  • @phillyvette, good question. I've been using the Britta water filter too.

  • @GetTheLook2010 Filtering and distillation are 2 TOTALLY different process. Filtering straining water through a device to catch particles (preferably impurities). Distillation requires HEAT. Distillation is the process of moving liquid to the gas phase (evaporation) and collecting the evaporated water (which has been depleted of minerals). So It's not the same. "Brita" water still has minerals, hasn't been evaporated and therefore is in no way like distilled water. I too have a brita

  • @bintasyllah (((bintasyllah)))) girl, thank you so much for your logical response. Thanks to you, I'm now using distilled!

    Thanks again;

    ~~GTL2010~~

"Justs as iron sharpens iron; so does one Sister sharpens another."

  • @phillyvette you have the boil the water 15 minutes before using it. That is to say, after the water reaches a rolling boil, it should boil 15 additional minutes. Then it's ready for your concoctions.

  • THANKS.. i made both and its growing!!!

  • I have been using the glycerin mix for about three months and my hair has grown at an amazing rate. I did the big chop a little over four months ago and my hair is already about 5 1/2 to 6 inches and I started with an 1 1/2 after my big chop! Thanks so much!

  • @wcuabby how did you make the glycerin mix

  • @tstlouis08 I make just as she does put equal amounts of aloe and glycerin.

  • hey can u please tell me where you bought the MSM powder for that price =]

  • at my local health food store, Drug Emporium, in their health food Vitamin Plus section of the store.

  • Can you use these concoctions on relaxed hair?

  • Sure you can.

  • Wow your hair looks amazing...I can't wait to try this. Thanks for the info. Jah bless

  • Thanks :)

  • Emu oil

Hair can experience nearly three times its normal cellular activity with the help of emu oil. The visible effect of this activity is that of awakening: Hair will appear livelier, healthier and more resilient to environmental and hormonal stresses. Since it is anti-fungal and antibacterial, emu oil will break down undesirable buildup and residue at the scalp and roots, thereby increasing volume and manageability.

  • Thanx for the detailed recipe =) I just bought the necessary ingredients and can't wait to give it a try! I've been researching the benefits of each oil and I wanted to provide the benefits for your subscribers =)

    Tea tree oil

Helps fight dandruff and other scalp problems. The tea tree oil is antiseptic and anti-fungal in nature. (cannot be ingested like the other oils can have a fatal reaction)

I have to do the rest separately due to the character count requirements

  • @HerrariLexine where can I find 100% PURE emu oil with absolutely NO additives?

  • I enjoyed this video!! I use a mix of natural and non natural products, but I am trying to research essential oils and natural conditions/styling products.

I currently enjoy adding rosemary essential oils to my oil and water mixes and co-wash conditioners!

I will look for more vids!

    Blessings!!

  • Thanks for the video. I have been looking up recipes for a home made hair growth oil so that you for the ideas. I want to infuse the hair growth oil I make, have you ever infused your hair oils and if so did the come out okay. Thanks again for the video and God Bless.

  • Hey Born Asiatic, I have been using the product for a week exactly as you "prescribed", so far so good. My locks are really shiny and I love the stimulation from the peppermint, But I want to know how often do you wash your hair. My hair is clean for the most part, but having teenage locks I only wash my hair about once a month.

  • I'm not sure on how you have to take care of teenage locks. I would check with someone more familiar. I co-wash quite often and I probably shouldn't. I actually use to co-wash every other day but I am trying to wait at least a week and sometimes I can go longer. It's just a personal thang for me but I wouldn't recommend too often.

  • Gurl I love lemongrass... I make a wonderful therapeutic milk bath using it...

  • Is this FDA approved? lol

I'm still gonna try it!! Beautiful hair!!

  • THANK YOU!!....I will try this for sure!!..

  • Will this be okay to put on my five-year-old daughter's hair?

  • I would check with putting some of the Essential oils. I know that some are not recommended for children. I think rosemary is one of them, but I'm not sure. All of the other ingredients are fine but check on those EO before using them.

  • MSM in the powder form is hard to find here where I live. So are the pills ok if I just dissolve a few of them in my mix??

  • The pills are ok if that's all you have. I found the liquid and that's what I'm using now.

  • Is the liquid has effective as the powder?

  • @hondahx Not sure but I would imagine the same.

  • Where do I get VegiGlycerin? Is that what it is? "Vegi?"

  • Okay. I see. I read more. Thank you.

  • Vegatable Glycerin. Can be found at health food stores like Whole Foods. Walmart sells glycerin in the drug / pharmacy section.

  • vegetable glycerine

  • i purchased msm powder a couple of weeks but i take mine internally in capsule form. I have also added a capsule full into my body oils. after watching this i may add some to my hair oil, shampoo and condish.

  • thanks for sharing - you could of kept your secret to yourself but you were so sweet to share it with others! Thx again!

  • I was never good at keeping secrets, LOL

  • What is your hair texture?

  • 3a to 3c. I have different textures on my head as most of us do.

  • great using MSM and essential oils

  • Where did you purchase the different oils?

  • Don't they kill the emu to get the oil? That's why I won't use that oil, though I've heard it's very moisturizing...

  • Yep, they kill the emus for the meat and render the fat down. I'm not a vegan so I have no problem using it. LOL sorry.

  • The emu is killed for its meat rather than just for the oil. The oil is derived from the fat found on the meat. If you're vegan/ vegetarian or just a plain softy for animals as I am, then I can understand your position.

  • @Banksparty4 Well, actually, they kill the emu to get the meat. If you're vegetarian, you've prolly not tried ostrich (red meat, but as leaner than turkey and almost as lean as fish) or emu, both very, very high quality meats. Emu oil happens to be an exceptionally lucrative by-product of this tasty meat.

  • I just made my spritz but I heard that it's not good to use glycerin in the colder months because it draws the moisture from your hair. Anyway, I decided to leave the glyc out and add castor oil. Have you ever used that on your scalp or hair? I'm going to start using it because I heard so much about it helping to thicken up the hair.

  • @shandee1229 this is very interesting about glycerin, where did you read this?

  • @bintasyllah I am a member of KISS even though I haven't been on in a very long time. When I was on it a lot, I did some research as well on natural things to use on hair. Not sure exactly were I got the info from but if you google it something will pop up.

  • I'm so excited about trying out your mix. Where do you get your products or do you shop from a few different places?

  • i dont understand hair grows period, its what u do to make it break that makes it seem like it doesnt grow, the only thing i think would truly help and is completely free is massaging the scalp, but im gonna check ur fasting w apple vids...im juicing rt now with carrot pear lemon and ginger...YUUMMY =}

  • use Emu oil, peppermint and rosemary as you do, I love how they make my scalp feel cool

  • Once upon a time I did use a leave in scalp oil with cayenne pepper in it fom the health food store, I will never do it again, that stuff was like hot sauce on my scalp!, lol, but one that I do like is Cinammon oil, it tingles on my scalp, and definately has to be diluted so that it doesn't burn.....it's naturally warming and is supposed to increase the blood flow to the scalp, I love the smell too, I also u

  • @QueenLoreal I've been looking for Cinnamon (bark) oil or extract at the best value possible. Do you have any suggestions as the stuff is very expensive.

  • thanks for the tip, i will get the amino acid and try that. Ever since i saw your post i went out and got the msm ive noticed a little bit of growth but not enough for a pony tail yet but almost their. thanks for posting!

  • Hello, I really appriciate your knowledge and that your sharing your secrets. I have thin, short damaged hair. And it's to the point were I will never leave the house without a weave! One question I want to ask: can I box braid my hair in extentions and spray it that way? Also, should I expect a lot of hair loss at the begining of this process due to all the damage I caused my hair? How long did you wait b4 using your concoc. on your daughters hair?

  • One, Let me say I appreciate this question but I'm no expert on hair. I only know what works for me. Having said that, I do know that tension to your hair is not what you want when you are trying to grow your hair. People with natural hair who where extentions do use this type of moisture (veggie glycerin spritz). Make sure if you get extentions they are not tight and pulling to hard.

I tried this on my hair and after I noticed how good it was I used it on my daughter's hair.

  • I do hope this helps you but may want to do some research on weaves, extentions and how the tension affects hair growth. Like I said I'm no expert.

Good Luck and keep me posted.

    Peace & Love

  • You have beautifu natural hair. I had all these ingredients except MSM and emu. I made my spray and have been using it for a week. My hair is in braids. Just got the emu so I can't wait to mix up that conncotion. 10 to 20 drops of essential oils seem to be a lot for a small vial though. Anyway lets see what kind of results I get. I am going to use it for the next 3 months. Thanks for the post and please update.

  • Hey Tray, You can vary the ingredients amounts to suit your hair needs. Let me know how your hair likes it.

    Peace

  • Where did you get all the oils from and the msm?

Also instead of peppermint oil what about cayenne pepper

  • I have all that information on the ingredients in the more info section to the right. I've never used cayenne pepper in a hair product so I really don't know. If you do try it let me know how it works.

  • What are the benefits that you have found with the Black seed oil? I heard you can also take in internally?

  • Black seed is one of those cure-all oils that is great for allergies, skin disorders, hair and nails, digestive problems and it's antimicrobial (rids body of infections). It can be used internally and externally. What makes it great for your scalp is the level of essential fatty acids in the oil.

  • thanks, just made this today and i´m so excited..

  • great recipes

  • I am going to purchase the Vegetable glycerine, but I just have to tell you that I just put 2 TBS of powdered MSM in my mix of Emu, Castor, and Jojoba oils and 10 drops each of Rosemary and peppermint oils.

Thank you so much for being such a wonderful teacher:)

    May God continually bless you!

Oh, u said never comb when wet? How come?

  • Cool, I didn't know how well the MSM would combine with the oils. Good to know.

Never comb dry hair. I only comb it when it's very wet. Dry hair is more apt to break and wet hair stretches and bends rather than break when it's combed.

  • AMAZING HAIR!!! How long did it take to grow your hair?

  • Hi Slim. I've always had long hair but I went though a transition for almost a year and then did my big chop around February 2000. It took me another year and a half to get this length but my hair broken easily until I started using only natural products which has been about 2 years now. I'm concocting all kinds of stuff just to keep my hair from breaking. It's growing healthy and stronger than before.

  • Hey girl I love your video...were do u get all the oils and the dropper? I would love to try this:-)

  • Hi there, I get all of my Essential oils from my local health food stores, most of my carrier oils from there as well. Some of them I ordered online From Nature With Love is a good site. They have droppers you can purchase but I just reused a old dropper I had that had something else in it. Give it a Try. Peace

  • sorry to post another comment, but I cannot find any pure MSM powder (i dont wanna order online), where could I purchase it?

  • I find it at my local health food store. Just call around before you waste gas looking for it. I live in a small city and each health food store I've gone to has it in powder form. Walmart and other drug stores have the capsules.

  • Thank you SO much.!!

I think this will work , because i do have a Veggie Glycerin Spray recipe of my own but it doesn't have all this great things in there . thank you for putting this video up. you helped me so much , & taught me a lot.

  • I just started adding things to my veggie glycerin as I would hear of the benefits. You can customize your own veggie glycerin to meet your needs. This is what works for me.

    Have fun with it. Peace

  • I recently did my big chop and I want length so bad, so i will definitely try your spray thanks for sharing your secret

  • hi love your hair. its so long and beautiful. I got my bc about three months ago and it havent grown much. ive been doing the glycerine mix for about a month but didnt know about the msm and im about to go try it now. thanks for the post.

  • MSM is the bomb, you can also take it by mouth and maybe try this Amino Acid supplement called A/G Pro. I used it after my big chop along with MSM capsules and it helped tremendously. The reason I don't take it now is that I don't remember to take it. That's why I add MSM to my veggie glycerin spritz. It works well and I don't have to remember to take it.

  • Hey! I read some threads on long hair forums about glycerin and water mixes drying out some people's hair when they tried to stop using it after prolonged usage. Have you had long periods were you havent used ur concoction? And if so did you ever experience any dryness?

  • I doubt that it caused dryness. I'm thinking that in comparison it feels much drier without using it. If you put any humectant on your hair it will draw dew or moisture to the hair which keeps it moist. If your hair is use to it and you go without there will be a big difference. I don't plan on going without, my hair loves it.

  • THIS WORKS! I've done it for a month!

  • I'm glad that it's working for you. YAY

  • when you apply your oils to your hair and scalp do you leave it in or rinse out? If you can reply i'll be most grateful.

  • I leave it in but I don't use much and I don't apply the oils to my hair just the scalp

  • nope that is great! Thank you sooo much for the video too...I was using essential oils before but never considered lemongrass, the scent makes such a difference!

btw can i also ask about the protein wrt the aloe vera: how can I use it but also keep a look out for protein overload. Im not sure but doesnt too much protein cause hair to be fragile? Thaaaaaank you in advance and sorry for the q's!!

  • I'm glad you like the video. I love the scent of lemongrass. The other scent I'm starting to like is Ylang Ylang which is very good for hair growth. I just started using it, it's rather expensive tho.

I know that protein can cause the hair to become brittle. I haven't experienced that but you may want to reduce the amount if your hair is sensitive or just eliminate it all together.
