poor cat ! this clip shows cruelty to animals! owner should buy a book about cats to find out that they clean themselves bylicking their fur! I am sure that this cat spend an hour to lick itself each time after being washed by humans! Remember to keep Your doors locked, I think that this cat will escape first chance it gets !
frogfreak533, I think you're looking too far into this. I mean, how is this cruelty? The cute kitty was just sitting there, all quiet, as if nothing were happening. Did you see the person washing this cat hit it, or abuse it in any way? Besides, cats can't always like themselves clean. For example, when my cat got mud all over her, she couldn't like it off,so I had to wash her. You gonna call that cruelty too?
I agree with DarkBerries. Contrary to the misconception that just licking is enough, house pets have to be washed. As far as I can see the cat isn't distressed. If you want to see cruelty that search for a vid called "cat washing machine!" or "cat spa" or "pet spa". Now that's cruel.
It's also the best option for some people; not everyone's cat doesn't mind taking a bath, and not everyone enjoys having the ever-loving shit scratched out of them (cat struggling like crazy aside).
Take a good whiff of an outdoor cat that's just rolled in some animal's poop, and then we'll see what you think. :/
IMHO, good scrubbing is necessary once in a while. They may not like it, but it helps get dead hair and dirt out of their coat. Why do you think they even make cat shampoo?

Thats really cute. I'm surprised the cat is holding still. I don't know of any cats that are ok with water. Thats a sweetheart right there.

That is like animal cruelty, yes it may be 'fun' and funny to wash your cat but it really isnt the same for the cat itself!
