Exactly abouche, we Ethiopians opened our doors to the muslims to show our hospitality. Now they totally denied that part of history and claim that Ethiopia is not an Island of Christianity. Well, truth sucks to them, but that is reality. Ethiopia is and will always be the island of Christianity in this world!

You have pointed out that the bible has got different version which is true - the simple solution is you go back to the original manuscript.

But don't forget the quran has got many version, such as:

Ibn Kathir (from Mecca; d. 119/737)

Abu `Amr al-`Ala' (from Damascus; d. 153/770)

Ibn `Amir (from Basra; d. 118/736)

Hamzah (from Kufah; d. 156/772)

al-Qisa'i (from Kufah; d. 189/804)

Abu Bakr `Asim (from Kufah; d. 158/778)

Plus, my question is if the Quran is the only 'miracle' by Muhammad. this 'miracle' could only be understood by classic arabic speaker, therefore, how could it be a universal massage?

when we muslims refer to the original source ''the holly quran'' when preaching

as everybody know the original language is Arabic so every time you mantion from the original source you are keepping it safe and un deluted

Does that mean everyone Muslim need to study arabic - as some believe it to be the 'heavenly language'?

Plus, since he is explaining the quran in amharic will that not dilute the massage.

By the way, I have seen amharic quran - would you not consider that to be the word of Allah or does the quran has to be only in Arabic in order for it to be the word of Allah.

do you know that the the Quran Arabic is not neccecerlly the same ararbic that peaple speak this days

if you want to learn quran not only how to read(which is the easiest part) but also what it is saying to you and understanding it and applying it in you dailly life the you need to go to somebody who knows the quran.

and if some one makes mistake in translating it then you can go back to the original and make sure that it is corrected.
