  • It is strange that it could work. I am EMDR therapist from 1997. There is a very strict protocol for quit smoking with desensitization of the triggers in the second phase, first you have to establish positive image...

  • @masterZIZI4U How does this work exactly? Very very interesting! any input will greatly be appreciated

  • @UKKorby A. J Popky is the right person for it! I am working EMDR with traumas and in panic disorders

  • Kome upali da ostavi cigarete ovako, taj sigurno nije normalan...

  • thank you poster for this. you helped me to stop thinking about smoking. Keep repeating it to your subconscience and anyone can do it cause its all in your mind.

  • i dont get it, what am i supose to do with this?

  • @TheIceman3rd Makes you not associate seeing a cigarette with the pleasure, so when you are quitting and others are smoking around you, you will be able to ignore it. Quite brilliant but still just an aid.

  • I gave up smoking yesterday and am using patches and gum and so far so good, but the craving is still there but i must beat it and to be honest following this red dot just made me feel sick :( but if it works for others then thats great.

To anyone that is giving up, i wish you all the very best with it and hope you have a great life without the dreaded weed that tobacco is.

  • Brilliant!!! but could you do any others without the cigarettes, Thanks.

  • @sarahlny1 that's how it works...... it dissociates seeing cigarettes with the pleasure feeling of smoking...

  • I will sertainly try this again, later..

  • just made me want a cig

  • swingbata, I googled "no memory of trauma yet PTSD" and chose the first result which was a letter to a doctor from a 21-yr-old with tentative diagnosis of PTSD from early childhood incidents of which she has no memory. After reading her letter, I had to agree to a broiler plate that in essence would not hold the respondent liable for anything said in the response given. I agreed and received the response. Basically, yes, you can have PTSD with no memor(y)/(ies) as to why. EMDR seemingly good.

  • @marmit4 Thats really interesting you say that because they are exactly my worries.. I have no idea what things traumatized me as a kid cause there are many which makes me "seemingly" emotionless and unable to cry dont know if there is a cure for that

  • Important Question that no one can seem to answer, I had a severe car accident 4 years ago and now suffer from severe PTSD. I dont remember anything from the car accident that caused the trauma so how can I be cured from my PTSD if I cant talk about the experience to an EMDR therapist?

Any feedback would be much appreciated

  • Trust me, you have it in your subconsious... That's why you have PTSD!

  • @swingbata , It is strange that you have diagnosis of severe PTSD and you don't remember the car accident, because the PTSD symptoms are strongly connected with the incident. Otherwise, you don't have PTSD. PTSD means that you have intrusive symptoms (flashbacks and nightmares of the incident). I am an EMDR therapist from 1997. learned EMDR from Francine Shapiro and you can contact some EMDR therapist in your hometown. There is no need to talk about the incident during the EMDR treatment

  • cool, will try it later :))

  • Hey, it works great I have quit three times, this week.

  • @gm110170 sooo true;)

  • Traduccion al español 1:
