Great machine! Fast and smooth. The mech is similar to my 1946 Seeburg Thrashcan which plays 20 78's on the sliding tray mechanish. Can't wait to see it installed in the juke!!
If I'm correct, these mechs are actually Freborg type Seeburg mechs. Could it be that Musicola acquired the mechanism from Seeburg & everything involved in making them when Seeburg went to making the vertical play Select-O-Matic record changer?
@mathewbailey08 Hi Matthew They are copies of the Freborg mechanism. As to wether they were "acquired" or just copied we will never know. They aren't identical however. There are some subtle changes that make them a little bit different. Which is why it's fun trying to find replacement parts.
