  • Where in the game is this music found? Is it a specific stage?

  • @Pulm0nary

    this stage 2

  • I'm glad they decided to leave the music alone for the PSN and XBLA release. The only thing they changed was some voicing but thats okay as long as the music stuck around that is fine with me.

  • This is what encouraged me to be cartoonist!!!

  • This song is too damn fucking good WOW..

  • This was my favorite!

  • Cyclops: Optic dance!

  • I lost count of how many times I listened to this song within the last two hours. It just might be the best video game OST I've ever heard in my life.

  • This song was the friggin' shit. I can listen to this all day.

  • X X X X X X X X XMEN!!!!! Lost so many 20p coins to this machine damn youuuuuu!

  • @NorthernStar1982 I know how you feel. I kissed at least $100 US worth of quarters good-bye over the years, thanks to this game, alone.

  • Sigh. Why did they have to port over the music/code from the MAME emulation for this weeks XBLA/PSN release? Was hoping finally we were going to have the perfect port especially the music portion. :(

  • @1978drbond It's better than that piece of crap Turtles in Time Reshelled

  • sweeeeeeeeeet!

  • Where can i download these mp3s!?!?!?

and Thumbs up if you already download and beat X Men arcade multiple times!

  • @MeanMug570 - Look for "X-Men Arcade Music - 01 - All That XMen".

  • Thumbs Up if Joystiq lead you here.

  • Today is the day. Will see if I'm right and they do replace the musician. I don't mind if they change the actors for Xavier, Magneto, and the rest of the cast. So long as they don't touch my beloved audio tracks in anyway. I need those in their original ROM forms. Meaning the music artist saying EH EH EH EH EH EH EH X-MEN must not be replaced.

  • @Wallcrawler Don't worry, they didn't change the track. I saw a video of the PSN version.

  • Had it not been for emulators I would be dying to get this.

  • This was the best song for 6 player mayhem!!!!!!

  • Thye're replacing the voice work for the stupid XBLA/PSN release. They'd better not be removing the original music also. Why can't every XBLA/PSN Arcade beat-'em-up re-release be like "Final Fight: Double Impact" or the XBLA exclusive "TMNT '89" where both releases kept ALL the nostagia intact. I hate it when they replace/remove from the original ROMS.

  • @Wallcrawler

I hope they do not remove the old voices and especially the music. But much of it has to do with licensing issues and X-men has jumped thru so many hands of various video game developers over the years. I did not even think about it until you mentioned this but I wouldn't even be surprised if the music is totally remixed.

  • @Wallcrawler Calm down, they're JUST re-recording the lines. They'll still keep "Welcome to die", "X-Chicken", "Nothing moves the Blob", etc. They're also keeping the original music

In fact, they CAN'T change anything else because technically Activision still holds the Marvel licence, so except for re-recording the cheesy Engrish, there's Nothing that they can do to ruin the nostalgia.

  • @Rashman21

You don't understand. I know they're keeping the original script. I can just barely go along with them changing the voice actors. What I AM worried about is Konami changing the sound artists to re-record the vocals. They do that and I'm going to be really disappointed.

This track here with the guy going "X-X-X-X-X-X-MEN! YEAH!" it may have the same lyrics but the sound artists voice might change. That's what I'm afraid of. For me that's part of the nostalgia. His voice.

  • @Wallcrawler the vocals in the songs didnt change :)

  • case in point why the arcade is still the best

  • EH EH EH EH EH EH X-MEN

  • dude... when this game is released, a lot of my homework will be incomplete for college. too much

  • You'll all be glad to know that this game will be on XBL and PSN this fall!

  • @murdamook504 - That I cannot wait. Thanks for the good news!!!!!

  • love this song!

  • my favorite. I remember playing this as a kid and it was this song that stood out in my subconscious.

  • @Lionofthedeye Same here. Been looking for this song for years.

  • When I buy a house I HAVE to find an x-men and a captain america and the avengers arcade machine, man the memories

  • @fade2black1982 i would do the same, but i would get the 2 screen, 6 player version of X-Men. i would also get some of Konami's licensed moneymakers like both TMNT games, The Simpsons, Aliens, G.I. Joe and Bucky O'Hare. and of course, i would probably get Lethal Enforcers (though it's not a licensed franchise, i enjoy the LE series)

  • @figment1988

there is another konami game i want them to release in the playstation network, and the game is (violant storm), it is really a great for PSN it is really really great game, I WANT IT.

  • @sadiq2008 - I believe the word you're looking for is VIOLENT Storm.

  • @SPFEntertainment

yeah that is right, i wish they put this game in the playstation network.

  • @sadiq2008 It already is on PSN

  • @MisterX867

i meant the game is (violent storm), is violent storm the konami game already on the playstation network or not.

  • i have this on mame arcade =3

  • So cool, yet so funny. Very unique song :)

  • I think that they should have used this song in the end credits of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and made Wolverine a bad guy in that movie before he became a part of the X-Men, don't you think so?

  • Christ.

I played this back in 1993. Now I feel ooooooooooooold.

  • another custom soundtrack song for Super Street Fighter IV!

  • Would would be excellent in Street Fighter 4 thanks for pointing that out!

  • A couple years ago I went crazy looking for these tunes, thank you so much!

  • this is the greatest arcade beat-em-up of all time ALL TIME! AND THIS TRACK PROVES IT

  • I love playing this theme for MVC2 :D

  • Yeah, I remember this song. Ah, great times.

I played Nightcrawler to a science in that game.

  • This is the one song that stuck with me all these years.

  • @SeagalismyHero Same here. i've been trying to look for this song for years. Feel so lucky now!

  • This song was always hilarious to me for some reason.

  • @akiratubo its like if C+C Music Factory did the soundtrack. *sigh* the japanese :)

  • where did you get this ost?

  • Look for "X-Men Arcade Music - 01 - All That X-Men" in the "Related Videos" section besides this comment segments.

  • The X-men are just so damn FUNKY!

GET IT! GET IT! CMON! DO IT!

    MUTANT DANCE PARTY!

  • I agree with you! As soon as I started hearing this music, I felt that I should have heard it during the dance party. I imagned the people dancing to this song.

  • @TheBlackPigeon Oh lol i thought he was saying ''damnit! damnit!'' all these years. ''cmon damnit!''

  • nice and crisp...good shit..

  • My favorite song from the game! :)

  • This song was so ahead of its time.

  • @CaramelAnt very true.... using this kind of music in a game was ahead of its time. but really all they did was take music that was hot at the time and incorporate it into the game. this song sounds like a really sped-up version of "everybody dance now" or other similar songs if you use a little imagination.

  • @CaramelAnt , still kicks ass to this day!

  • @CaramelAnt AGREED!

  • SO FUCKING TRUE!!!

  • GET IT! DO IT! COME ON!
