Without starting an argument, I think Europe in general resents how much sway the US has in international politics. Most folk here in the UK really dislike being 'pulled around' by the US. It feels like we have to follow wherever America leads. It's not so much envy, more...why have our own government if all it does is do as America is doing?

So they're always trying to crack down on us one way or another. Personally I think the world's headed toward the end of the Nation and the beginning of Continents as powerhouses - if that's true it doesn't make sense for the UK to be so antagonistic toward Europe.

I think a lot of the problem is not that people aren't sympathetic to the plight of other nations, but rather that they are blamed for problems their respecitve countries are associated with, and go on the defensive by pointing out faults and generalizing the populous of other countries. It usually results in more of a "My dad can beat up your dad" arguement than it does a purposeful discussion. I'm not sure that YouTube will ever be a meaningful forum.

@JonHall129 Lol your comment is hilarious your calling us the country that founded you and the country which most of you Yanks descend from puny we are your big brothers Lol and your the little one we founded democracy and we founded it in your country we also had the biggest empire the world has ever seen and infact the Commonwealth has more trade and higher Gross income than the United States thats a fact and if we wanted could use it to fuel the military.

@NorthernerMatty123 hey,hey, hey, now. most of us americans didnt descend from England, some have, but not most. theres a lot of Italians, Germans, Dutch and Irish here. Those are some of the groups that came here in large numbers. I also dont think that England is our big brother. Just my opinion.

@TheJrgriffin Well i was wrong saying most of you descend from us that was a mistake but i am right in saying that English Americans are the biggest ethnicity in the United States with probablyt 80 million people of English descent and we are your big brother because we founded you colognised you and all of the founding fathers were English.
