  • God bless you sister! Tha's a great testimony. Thank you for sharing it.

  • Lana mentioned Eph. 2:8-9. I'm waiting for some Mormon to twist and pervert those verses too. I've already seen a Mormon twist and pervert Isaiah 43:10 by saying that God was talking about being the "God of this world" only. Seems there are a lot of LDS out there who refuse to be confused with facts, exegesis, and proper hermenutics as their minds are already made up. Glad to see Lana isn't one of those.

  • QUESTION: Why did you even bother to show up at that "trial" - just leave and let them rant and rave all they wish.

  • So now you only need to take one more step: get rid of this last myth.

    Freedom thru Truth, Xeno

  • Amen! Praise the Lord!

  • Too bad an atheist didn't save you instead. From the frying pan into the fire.

  • @RDJim Oh the irony in that statement....

  • Praise God!!! Great testimony.

  • FAKE!

  • Praise God for his mighty hand of deliverance from the destructive ways of mormonism, and into the saving knowledge of Jesus.

  • Oh, how sad. : (

  • @Yunginspirit

There is not even one (1) single mormon is Heaven. That's what is truly sad. The Bible warns us of the reality of eternal punishment in the flames of hell. Is God unjust in sending the disobedient there? No.

  • @edadan2009 - Many LDS have been to heaven via near death experiences, visions and dreams...had such incredible experiences! Heaven is full of good ppl but sadly, hell is much more crowded.

  • Good for you and you family! What great parents you are! Truly, mormonism perverts, God, Christ, the Bible, and heaven. Most members do not know much at all about "real" mormonism history. I do hope that LDS members can someday see this. Its a journey!

~ex mormon temple, sealing and all.

  • Good for you! I love it that you have found the better way.

  • Awsom testimony of God's saving grace.

  • Praise God. How grateful I am to know that Gods word is moving around to those who can be pulled away from false doctrine.

Lana, you made the right decision and your testimony shines the Lord's light beautifully.

  • Mat 7:21 Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who *does* my Father's will.

Ezekiel 18:24 [When the righteous turn from doing good works] in his sinshall he die.

John 7:17 If any man shall *do* his will, he shall know of the doctrine

John 15:10-14 *If* ye *keep* my commandments, ye shall abide in my loveye are my friends, *if* ye will *do* whatsoever I command you.*

James 2:17 Faith, if it hath not works, is dead

    Sounds doctrinal to me.

  • Yes, but you have to understand the CONTEXT. It's not the works that save you. It's GRACE. It's the gift of God. It's not something you can earn. The works are the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT. After you've received salvation by grace through faith, these "works" are usually a sign that the holy spirit is dwelling in your heart and works are a product of that change in you. It doesn't save you! You need to read a little more instead of giving one liners. I suggest the book of acts.

  • No one said spiritual work was going to be EASY...and we really don't know the true reason why people leave the church..but i know when members cannot hold onto their covenants, they're easy to give up. Christians are partial and want the easy way...that's why I've converted from the traditionalist christian church to LDS and I am PROUD!!!

  • God doesn't require "works" for salvation. The Morg believe you can work towards salvation and GODHEAD as well. You TOO can be a GOD. That is what Joseph Smith taught among his other perverted beliefs. Oh, and the small detail of taking his friends' wives didn't do much to boost his credibility as a prophet. He was no better than David Koresh. How sad that you left a traditional Christian church because what you joined is anything but orthodox Christianity.

  • I'm a Born Again Bible Believing Christian. TO hear you say you gave up traditional Christianity to LDS is sad. You can't possibly sit her and tell me that you live by those laws (they call them ordinances) completely and that you don't need grace. If you break one then you've broken them all. Grace is not an "EASY" way. And grace is not a ticket for you to sin. Paul speaks of that as well. ROMANS 6:1-15. Yet, now that you're LDS, I'm sure they teach you the Bible is flawed and BOM is not. Sad.

  • Good for you!

  • Thats what has all of this people confused. They take that verse in the bible so literally. "by thy grace ur saved". Mrs ex LDS, this life is a life were u have to prove urself, not simply think your going to be in his presence because of your faith, and his grace. Hope u find peace, and pray.

  • that is uterly false..

NO you dont have to proov urself to God - Jesus has already accepted u. we ARE saved by grace - not works. that doesnt mean we dont live a good life. our works on earth are like rags to god. but the good works come from love - not by "have to proov urslelf worthy" -thats not wot christianity is about.

im sorry but u completly misslead.

..ok then if we are saved by works then what was the point of JESUS for then?

  • This lady cannot be Mormon. This lady is imposter of the Mormon. She does not know anything about mormonism. I tell you people out there that Mormons are Christians. Only Jesus Christ is the Savior. The name of the church is named after Him. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. So you people out there, don't simpy easily to be led away by this untruthfulness.

  • did u listen to anythng she was saying?..she was in mormonism for years and years.

2ndly mormons are not christians because they disagree with the characteristics of christ.

mormonism is just another religion like islam, budda, hindu etc..why?..because they live by a law that says we should do this and do that - which REMINDS us that we sinners and will never be good enough..christianty teaches us diff.

my pastor said this: "love God and do what u want" (im sure u can work it out ;)

  • Your pastor is very very wrong. You follow the wrong church. Your pastor leads you to a very wrong path, and leads to a place of hell. You cannot love God and do what you want...can you kill, steal, commit adultry, get drunk etc? So quit that Church, Convert to the Church of Jesus Christ (Mormons)

  • as i said in my last post.."work it out"

ok so i may have lost u. wot i mean is - is that why should our relationshp with jesus be based on obeying rulz and commandments?..its way more than that. for me its not about trying to stick to rulz so i dont sin, RATHER i dont sin because i dont WANT to sin because jesus is amazing and the amount of grace he has given us..can u see the difference. and no i dont mean u can go around sinning..but y wod u want to when u love jesus..u get wot i mean?

  • think of it like this..because u love ur wife soooo much u wodnt wanna do anything to hurt her eg- cheating, hitting, mocking etc etc.. so its the LOVE that stops us from doing anythng to hurt her - not rulz.

same with jesus..we shouldnt want to sin coz we dont actualy want to hurt him coz we love him......get it now?!!!!?!?!?!

and another big diff btween mormon and christian is that u believe its ur works that save u - not grace..bible teaches us its gods grace not works

  • thats y mormons are the same as islam, budah, hindu...why?...coz u believe its works. - to a certain degree.

if our works get us to heaven can u tell me the point of jesus then?..obviously jesus wasnt needed

  • A prime example of people needing a religion to cope with reality. Sad really.

  • I am Mormon and I love "Christians", I read my children pilgrims progress, Gladys Aylward, Eric Liddel, Bingham etc. and love their inspiring faith. I also love Mormons who happen to be Christians and teach my children about the great faith of LDS as well. This lady obviously didn't know what the mormons believe. That is sad. Interesting God says don't judge and love your neighbor not judge every religion but yours and bash them. I never see my church bashing others only preaching what we belie

  • faith is an action

  • Good for you girl! God bless

  • Do you know there are scientist? They are the best people.

  • yeah, and you know the BEST scientist? God.

  • Eph 2 8-9, 8For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast

James 2- 17Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

  • Which makes more sense? Paul saying don't boast of your works, because it is grace that saves you in the end, or James?? These verses are very convenient when deciding to or being induced to leave the church. I myself prefer to use my own spritual judgemnet, and not be coerced by another person who wishes to find loopholes in his faith.

  • If every Mormon would read Galatians 7 and pray on it they could throw out their "Book" and start praying to the real Jesus! God Loves Mormons! Pray for them to see the truth...

  • Galations 7? in my Bible it only has 6 chapters.

    T

  • tonytiger try galatians 1:7-8...

  • Randy109, I agree that God loves Mormons - and all of his children on this earth. Are you afraid to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it? For if you do so with sincerity, you will know that it is truly from God. The Book of Mormon adds to what we learn from the Bible--both are scripture. We don't pray to Jesus - we pray as Jesus taught us to pray - to "Our Father who art in heaven." Our prayers are addressed to God, not Christ the Son of God. What is it you pray for me to see?

  • see this just proves mormons arnt christian....

what do u mean our prayers are not to jesus...JESUS IS GOD...do u have a bible?!?!?- oh wait u have the book of mormon which is diff to the bible and contradicting.

    we pray to jesus OK

  • cezza57: Thanks for responding! Are you saying that we should be praying to Jesus? Because I've been taught that we pray to God the Father. Didn't Jesus pray to his Father? I'm somewhat confused by what you're saying, . . . please explain. Are you saying that Jesus is a God like His Father is a God? Or, that Jesus is the only God there is? Thank you for corresponding.

  • sorry if i came across abit nasty.

what you must understand is that there is only ONE God. there are 3 forms..Father, Son, and holy spirit..they are all equal. Jesus was the word and then he came as a human to earth (as we all know)..but Jesus came to show us how to live and how to pray.

and yes we pray to Jesus coz he is God.

this may seem confusing but its all in the bible and this is what christian doctrine teaches.

    mormons differ

  • cezza57: I see what you're saying, and where we differ. I agree about the Word - Jesus is God (one of them).

If God and Jesus are one and the same, to whom then did Jesus pray? Himself? To whom was Jesus speaking, when raising Lazarus from the the dead He said, "I thank thee Father that thou has heard me?" There are countless times in the New Testament where Jesus speaks of the Father as though the Father were an actual separate being. Why if the Father is Jesus and Jesus is the Father?

  • i hear wot ur saying and yes can be quite confusing..BUT we have a human mind and cannot comprehend GOD. It says in the bible that God is one. Jesus is god but he came as a human. remember Jesus has 2 natures (god and man)..he also came to be an example and to show us how to pray..so wen he prayed we were learning.

    3 IN 1 (1 = God)

  • Yes I do have a Bible, Yes I am Mormon. Next question?

  • What do you believe about the Bible is the question. Do you believe it's flawed? And if so, why do you carry it? Also, does the BOM, D&C,POGP supercede the Bible...Meaning, are they more "correct" thatn the KJV BIBLE? Is the BOM historically, archeaologically correct in what it claims, and have any of the cities been found from it? Have any of the coins been found? Have any swords or bones from the battlefields it mentions been found?

  • Im not an amazingly strong mormon but we do carry the bible and believe it and there are no flaws and we do use the kjv bible i had several in my house, the book of mormon, d&c, pogp are just written by prophets of our church thats all i think anyway

  • I know you carry a KJV. I mentioned that. However, do you not believe that "The Bible Is The Word Of God As Long As It's Translated Correctly and the BOM is the Word of God"? This means that the Bible is flawed. That is taught in LDS. I know that. I live in SALT LAKE AND HEAR THIS ALL THE TIME from your elders and your bishoprick. Did you research any of the stuff I mentioned about the BOM and it's lands and the rest? I didnt think so. Where in the Bible do you see Satan & Jesus being brothers?

  • If your book is flawed and proven to be flawed and your "prophets" of your faith wrote this fictional book and called it scripture, could they really be called prophets? Woe unto them for leading people astray. Then to tell the church that it's the only true church and all others are of Satan (J. Smith's words...not mine) is amazing because church (body of believers) have been around before LDS and Christ said that the gates of hell wouldn't prevail against it. Meaning not all would go astray.

  • So if there has always been a remnant of true believers, what was there to reform? J.Smith really pulled a doosie on people. I'm not picking on you. I just think that you should at least read the New Testiment. Carrying a bible and reading it are different. At least look into the things I spoke of earlier on. Be blessed.

  • Last question...If the BOB is "COMPARABLE" to the BIBLE and the Bible is flawed, wouldn't that mean the BOM is flawed too? Because Comparable means that it's on the same level as or just as good as something (like something or similar to). Which also means that if it's on the same level that it can't be more correct than whatever its comparable to. Food for thought. I encourage you to read the new testiment. Read it. I know you all don't read it much even though you have a KJV. I live in SLC

  • I am 15 years old, I live in england and stopped attending the mormon church when i was around 8.

I personally do not think the bible is flawed and I have never heard that Satan and Jesus are brothers..

Sorry I am no help but we aren't strong mormons, my parents joined the church years before i was born. If you asked a stronger mormon you would probably get a good response. Sorry mate

  • do they still having plural marriage in the temple????? right now????

  • you do things like temple work to bless people, not to "save" yourself from hell.

  • so if he payed for your sins past present and future why even have religion why not just believe in God and their youre done

  • The judgment of sin is finished for a believerTrue Christians dont believe in religion, rather a relationship. But it doesnt stop there. We grow in grace and knowledge. As we grow we become more like Him. If one stops growing, then they just place themselves back in the bondage that Christ died to redeem them from.Who would want to go backThey have been set free.Thats like saying to a prisoner, well your family paid for your crimeyour free to go and the prisoner says oh no thanksId rather stay here.

  • i dont care as long as i have money and friends i dont care about god

  • Well tell me this if yout husband was to cheat on you ( and feel no guilt or shame about it ) do you think it would be right for him to obtain the honor of being in the presence of Christ?

I ask because that is what I am hearing from you.

  • Well DUH! She never knew there was any other religion. Heh, heh, Goodness. So another one bites the dust. doom, doom, doom, Another one bites the dust. And another one gone and another one gone and another one bites the dust...

  • So if we are all saved by grace aren't Mormon's saved then too?

  • ...MAKE YOUR ELECTION SURE BY OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD..."NOT EVERONE WHO SAYS: LORD!...LORD!..."...see revelation 22:18 to see if you are in a true-believing christian church....remember our LORD warned us of "false teachings" arising ...satan shall appear as an angel of light....

  • So enlighten me, what do I have to "do" to be saved?

  • Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..."

    Acts 16

  • if they put their faith in Jesus...Jesus said "Whosoever will..." Salvation has been extended to ALL of mankind. the problem with mormonism is that it mixes in LIES with the Truth. this creates false sense of security and ultimately DECEPTION.

  • ...GOD BLESS YOU!!!.. the true-believing church rejoices in your deliverance!!...interesting how mormons use the "excomunication" bit when people see the TREUTH but don't excommunicate joseph smith and brigham young fot their immorality( polygamy, child brides, sorcery, racism)...they claim to condemn polygamy now but looks like they are lying if they still revere smith and young as "prophets"...

  • God paid for your sins. Titus 3:5 makes it clear that by grace you are saved. Mormon doctrine if studied carefully will go against by mercy ye are saved and will say: Not by mercy, but by continuous righteousness which is impossible.

  • I used to be a member too in Utah. Then I converted to Christianity.

  • Bless you, your courage to question all that you knew is very commendable. Its hard to go against the grain & seek out the truth and you were very brave!

  • I hate the whole "faith vs works" debate between lds and non-lds but I just don't understand how so many people can base beliefs about grace on so few verses in the Bible so as to totally disregard Christ's teachings about works through out the gospels section of the New Testament. Why repent (as the Bible teaches) if all we need to do is believe? I'm sorry that Lana never quite got it.

  • thank God for the conversion of this soul

  • Great stuff. God bless! You will have touched hearts even if they left no comments.

  • Praise God! I left the church a little over a year ago and am now a Christian. I've never been happier or closer to Jesus!

  • What!!! How can you be Christian, when you are not keeping all the commandments of Jesus Christ. The only way you want want to be closer to God is by keeping all His commandments. If you are out of His Church, you are not christian.

  • hey, you don't have any comments on here :). Good for you. No one has anything to say to such a sweet lady who's found the truth.

  • What truth? When you are out of The Church of Jesus Christ, then there is no truth about it.
