  • Wouldn't it be called an electric peddle?

  • I want to add to the comments above that the gov't is taking over power plants so when they make the switch from gas to electric and the gas stations they will charge you like 30 to 40 dollars just to charge up your car. If you want a car that is green build it yourself. I have plans on building a truck that runs off of air. Just keep it simple and you can build anything!

  • FUCK THIS I PREFER MY HIGH END 200k cars. This is for poor people.

  • 27 grand is alot for this car, the range i

  • This is just an expensive golf car.

  • Imagine a solar panel on top of your garage charging your electric car!

You could tell the government to suck it since the oil companies only make 4 cents a gallon of gasoline and the government makes 40 cents on the same gallon!

  • @abeassocs2003 Do you have any idea how much oil it takes to make an electric car?

  • terrible the energy bill goes up. killing animals like bats caught in wind turbines trying to charge and battery using that method. what happens when its a cloudy fay and ur solay panel cant charge and you get stuck in the middle of no where trying to find someone within miles o a charging place and if u find one you have to wait a day for it o charge fully again. GREAT IDEA! GREAT FOR THE PLANET!

  • Imagine a solar panel on top of your garage charging your electric car!

You could tell the oil companies to suck it!

  • somali music

  • So now instead of buying gas, you'll have a ridiculously high electric bill !

  • @Htimez2 And to boot, electricity is not a soarse of power. We create electricity by using other fossil fuels.

  • i kow you where trying to less the use of gas..but its not reliable as it is..what if you are in a long trip?XD charging 22 hrs for just 80 miles and then running out of battery charge it somewhere and wait 22 hrs again? and what if you run out of battery and cant find a freaking charging place? i guess it will make your travel harder and more inconvinient..

  • 22 hours??? this car isn't good for long trips yet. when i go to see my parents from school its 200 miles, and theres only two rest areas lest say they both have a charging station and hopefully are 80 miles of each other what do i do then??? i guess i would need to go the nearest city and wait 11 hours for half a charge. lol i just made my 3 hours trip at least half a day lol

  • The shape reminds me of the fiat 500

  • Long charging time, lesser miles you can go compared to others

  • @master2dope LMFAO ferrari is an actual car and an evo isnt? Quick fact. there are more mitsubishi cars on the road than ferraris, lambos, and porsches put together. And just because its a "rally car" it doesnt mean its specifically made for that. The 35K evo sold in the U.S has unmatched technology by cars twice as much. Twin clutch transmission, S-AWC system, turbo, 300BPH, and its rally bred. Top gear praises evos. They have an video of an Evo FQ making a lambo look like a go kart.

  • @Cloudstrife1188 o honestly dont care your just a damm mitshbishi fanboy who dont know shit go read your stupid car facts you dumbass moron and your a poser go work back to mitsubishi for whatever they pay in sushi plus the reason theres mitsubishi more than feari and porsches is becuase of the price which is expensive depending which 1you get .

  • You're savings from gas will be going towards your electric bill...

  • you know whats really going to suck in about 7 or 8 years when shit starts goin wrong with these electric cars its going to cost them an arm and a leg to replace all the electric parts

  • the thing is gm and ford alone with cysler killed the electric car for us. don't buy theirs and they'll get the message and start building electric cars that work.chevy volt @40 miles per charge what an idiot idea.. gm crushed 24,000 electric cars in 1bout 1997 to get rid of the technology after california dropped their 0% alternative requirement. ford/gm has their noses so far up the oil interests as they'll nevr see daylight

  • @otherworldtrader1 I'm not sure why people continue to write about movies like this - as if GM from Michigan has some vested interest in Exxon etc. in Texas. The truth is electric cars were too expensive 20 years ago. That's it - no one was buying them for what they cost. The worst idea is buying imported cars from Japan like crazy and expecting the dollars to come back to the U.S. like a miracle...

  • this dumbass is retarded. 22 hours to charge on residential 120volt system? so you only have 5-8% of the time to drive it. I think he meant 12 hours, not 22.

  • I can "charge" my gas vehical in bout 2 minutes....1up ya motha fucka, but honestly im dissapointed...first mitsubishi stops producing the eclipse. Thennnn they make ugly ass cars. DAMNIT!

  • Pontiac Aztec > electric cars

    (in terms of looks)

  • Comment removed

  • Can there just be a nice looking electric vehicle? Like really all of these are uglier then sin :/ They all fetch a hefty price for a shit looking car.

  • they stoped makeing the evo for that its the uglyest thing ive ever seen

  • Ignorantes no saben q esto no es por gusto! es por necesidad! debemos cambiar nuestro estilo d vida si no d aqui a 50 a~os nosotros y nuestros hijos moriremos junto con el planeta o lo q queda d el!

  • Find a station? Like where??? Am all for clean air etc. But if you can make the cars but if there is no infrastructure it becomes a moot point IMO.

  • OH REALLY THE CHARGER COMES WITH THE CAR???

  • Now this is just a question. If more people are using electricity to charge their cars, wouldn't the power plants be overloaded with deman for electricity? The reason i ask is that when it iced over here and everyone was iced in for a couple of days, we had rolling blackouts because of the demand for electricity. Everyone had to power on their heaters and utilities, and it became overwhelming for the electric company. May be a dumb question or comment, but just thought i would throw it our there

  • @echo036 Just charge your car at night when all other things in your house are off. And it would be smart to carry around emergency cells just in case something like that does happen. :)

  • isn't this car the MiEV?

  • once it will look as evo i will consider buying it

  • Wait, the gas pedal ?

  • The only Mitsubishi i'd ever get is a Lancer/Evo and a 3000GT!

  • I dnt get one thing!!!! All of a sudden alot of electric car reviews appeared at the same time on Youtube but was is more strange is that the type of model are like this one here HASHBACK or watever is it called, companies that normaly dnt make this model are doing it now withi the electric cars.... I mean wat happend to the Eclipse, Lancer, Evo XI?????? Wtf r this YARIS wanna be models????

  • as soon as they release many of these electric cars, there are gonna be a lot more traffic accidents because you cant hear these cars coming around the corners.

  • @rockmuscfan that is an absolutely ridiculous statement. A large part of a car's road noise comes from the tire's friction with the pavement. The sound you hear when a car passes by is mostly this friction.

  • PASS.

  • I thought it was funny how he still referred to the accelerator as the "gas" pedal.

  • Could you have possibly utilized a worse video photographer?

  • Wake up people! Electric cars like this are actually far worse for the environment than gasoline powered ones. Firstly, those batteries? The mining, refining and production of the Lithium Ion batteries creates far more pollution than building a regular car. And where do you think the power from your wall sockets comes from? If you live in the U.S., it mostly comes from Coal plants, which create far more greenhouse gasses than gasoline does. Until our power is green, this stuff is just a gimmick.

  • @MercC23k YES I agree. Scientific American showed that hybrids were actually better on the environment than plug-ins, because the latter draws elec from COAL in most cases. Hybrids can be used ANYWHERE, even where coal is the power of choice.

  • @MercC23k You're an idiot. Do some research on IC engine vs. electric engine efficiency.

  • @MercC23k

US (and hopefully the rest of the world too) needs to work on constructing some heavy-water-fusion nuclear power plants.. the sea based oil drilling platforms can be retrofitted to become heavy-water distillation facilities and could even use some of the energy to make hydrogen for fuel-cell cars.

NO OTHER SYSTEM IS NEEDED and the waste is Helium from the power plants and water (100% pure H2O) from the fuel-cells.

  • @melis256 Actually the most logical and sustainable solution is to abandon any type of burnable fuel and go with the Air powered cars that already exist.

    /watch?v=eY1KNxhd2Zs

There's also an Air compressor that can be started by a pulse of AIR, that way the car could "refuel" itself indefinitely on the fly, burn NO combustible fuel at all, and create NO emissions at all.

The idea that we need to burn fuel is a myth created by the energy companies that want to keep you paying for fuel forever.

  • @NinjaRider777R

Um, there is no thermodynamical way around conservation of energy, and that is on a universal level.

Perpetuum Mobile is impossible, since the energy always comes FROM somewhere.

And there is always a fuel behind every piece of work.

  • @melis256 Did you even bother to watch the air powered car video?

Air powered cars already exist, you cannot deny that.

Air compressors that can be started with a burst of compressed air also already exist.

Combine the two and you no longer need combustible fuels of any kind.

The technology is ALREADY HERE, denying it is just stupid.

  • @NinjaRider777R

"Air compressors that can be _started_ with a burst of compressed air also already exist."

Ya, but does that keep them running?

Also, I am not denying anything, I am just stating some scientific facts.

Planet Earth receives the majority of its energy from nuclear fusion in the sun.

Chance is that most of the electrical signals which runs through your brain while reading this, once was energy which was released when some hydrogen atoms fused into helium.

  • @melis256 Another solution, electric air compressors.

Cover the roof in solar panels, store that energy in a normal car battery, use it to run the compressor. You could supplement the solar panels with braking energy tech that's already in use on passenger cars today.

No burning of fuels, thousands of times superior to any combustion engine technology in terms of emissions.

  • @NinjaRider777R

Now that is a possible but improbable situation.

The more links there are in the chain, the more energy is lost to heat.

Running a compressor on electricity is unsmart, when you could use an electric motor.

  • @MercC23k haha your hella dumb! LMFAO

  • @MercC23k yeah yeah and your moma is not a slut,,, bitch shut the fuck up B4 i pull them fuckas out...

  • @bonds911 Why don't you suck my left nut you stupid faggot little fuck? Ain't no one here talking to your ignorant ass. Fuck you you pussy internet tough guy, trolllin around youtube like you sum kinda gangster who can talk shit without actually saying something. A scared little bitch like you isn't impressive to anyone, everybody knows you ain't got the balls to actually talk like that to anyones face, so you run around talking shit on the internet, hoping someone will be impressed. NO ONE IS.

  • @MercC23k look you little pimp as bitch,, yo mama would be impressed just by the movement of my left nut so i say it again,,, bitch shut the fuck up b4 i pull them bitch hoes out,, eminems voice,, and hoes include your mom and sis... and electric cars are kickn ass you little faggot,,, go suck your own dick fuckn homo maybe thatll be the only thing you could succed at fuckn lady gagas little fuckn smurf...

  • @bonds911 Lol, you think you're Eminem. Stupid rich little white boy bitch. You gonna pull them 'bitch as hoes' out your ass? From the way you are walking you clearly have something shoved up there. No one cares dude, keep talking shit on youtube if it makes you feel tough, I have better things to do than reply to your pointless ignorant bullshit anymore.

  • @MercC23k im not white nor rich,, i happen to like electric cars,,, and you dont ... thats no reason to be arguing right... have fun

  • Awesome man can't wait to get one well in time...... Look nice and confy

  • A bowl of water a long time ago and we light the hydrogen on fire

  • Comment removed

  • @tothefuckinmax Yes you need electricity to separate them it's like a dc electric wire I'm not sure if it was negative or positive but I only did that withba

  • It's so cute!

  • wtf 80 85 miles.....fords ev is gana have upto 500 miles thats coming out in 2012................

  • Instead of running on electricity (which still uses power-plants) using very expensive heavy lead -acid batteries (which need to be disposed of when dead), work should be being done on water power using hydrogen generators. Who wants to find a plug-in when taking a trip, or waiting for the car to charge?

  • @character654 agreed hydrogen producing salt water cells should be the focus of research ... unless all electrical power is produced without fossil fuels

  • @jszipsp100 I think they are a lot closer to that than we think, but...

  • @character654

Wouldn't you need some initial power to separate the Hydrogens from the Oxygens in water?

  • @tothefuckinmax

The initial power would come from fusion of heavy-water.

  • @character654 What you say is nice but it kinda makes no sense. Electrolysis takes an considerable amount of energy which will be required from a different source. Also a hydrogen generator requires a large capacity tank that would not be feasible. Then there is also the problem of safety issues from driving a mobile bomb around. This is the best engineers can do for now

  • @jasonzichenyou There's already Hydrogen cars on the road, they're far from "rolling bombs"....

And apparently there's new methods of "splitting water" that don't take huge amounts of energy to accomplish, those vids are here on youtube.

  • @jasonzichenyou Electrolysis can use an on-board alternator/generator. The tank wouldn't need to be any larger than the standard gas tank for the water. The "generated" HHO gasses would be directly burned in the engine - regulated at the electrolysis process. This would eliminate the "mobile bomb" issue. What we see is FAR from the technology out there.

  • @character654 4.The challenges facing the use of hydrogen in vehicles include production, storage, transport and distribution. Because of all these challenges, the well-to-wheel efficiency for hydrogen is less than 25%

  • Charging your car can get annoying. People get Lazy to even plug-in their cell phone, what makes you think they will charge their car after they park-it in the Garage? However the benefits far outweigh the costs. Electric Cars get $.02 cents a mile, $6.75 to Fully Charge. 150 MPG. Thats 5X's the MPG of a regular gasoline car. Electric cars should improve in range thus charging will lessen to about once a week. I personally don't mind charging my car everyday. It's fun.

  • /watch?v=4sEORWmB2rA best car evah

  • i would get the nissan leaf instead... because of the size and the look... that car (the mitsubishi) just looks like a toyota yaris...

  • 0:23 The front of the car looks like a hamster with it's face full of food.

  • A very impressive vehicle needed to perk up Mitsubishi's sagging sales.

  • electric cars are not green you still need coal to make the energy.... i swear people who believe in this green shit must be dumb as hell!!!

  • @djdallinpker We're not even using half our electric grid in the USA, so coal needs won't go up as much as you think they would. Petroleum/Gasoline wont last forever, electricity will. It's about time we think of alternatives before we have to start paying ridiculous amounts at the pump.

  • @Raajur at the time buying one of these cars is stupid maybe in years to come they'll be practicable but now there not so thats why i'm saying this electric car is dumb. and people who say its green are dumb too because you need something to give you the power and when the batteries are shot you cant dispose of them really so your just polluting even more. thats why hybrids are a waste also.

  • something doesn't seem right when it cost 30k and the guy has to ask if it struggles to get up a hill haha

  • Nobody should buy these until they reach at least 400 miles on one charge.

  • people please dont buy this shit take a look at a brand called tesla their cars are all electric look AWSOME and have a huege range only problem is the price

  • so lets see, im gonna sit on the electric station for 20 min to charge my car only %80 ? wth

  • Biggest issue with these cars is the price and the HIDDEN costs. Most of these have 8+ batteries which are $200+ a piece and need replaced every few years. Also most electric comes from coal which is dirtier energy than gas is.

So unless you have a large solar array your not saving any money.

  • @Twisted86 Wait, replacing 8 batteries at $200 a piece every few years? That's $1600. Now consider how much you pay for gasoline in 2-3 years. That's a very, very good trade off.

  • $ 27.000 for that ???????? Are you people serious?? I'll buy a mercedes fot that money (new one c class)

  • swag.

  • I'm all for electric cars 100 percent....however....if I'm sitting there thinking about how to spend $30 grand....hmmm....80's Ferrari 308 or this thing.....hmmmm....

  • @sketchyj Good luck with that... I would never buy one of those... Pretty??? Yes, but wait till you have to fix the thing. A friend of mine used to collect Triumphs and MGs... He had to get rid of them because the cost of importing parts was insane. Another friend had a Mercedes, and had to wait a month for parts to fix the thing. They don't typically sell parts for European cars at NAPA (which is why they wind up selling for so cheap)

  • @girochin007 if you are spending nearly $30K on a car you aren't worried about repair bills in the first place. How dare you mention a 308 in the same breath as an MG or a Triumph

  • @sketchyj You aren't??? I have a $28,000 Ford Explorer, and cry whenever I have to pay to get the oil changed.

  • @girochin007 I use 3 cars..a 1990 F150 to haul materials back to the house (cost $2000), a 1995 Geo Metro 3 cyl. which gets over 40 mpg (cost $1500), and a 1990 BMW 325is that I'm putting a few new parts into as a fun fixer upper car. I got it good running off craigslist for $900, unbelievable.

  • I've gotten to drive an i-MiEV and it's an incredible thing. The acceleration and turning radius of that thing are amazing.

And those who are whining about how it looks: you people don't realize that air resistance matters to efficiency, do you?

I'll be busy saving money on fuel. $350/month for gas vs. $89/month for electric.

  • @FulldMoon2021 Then get the Mitsubishi. They are making a solar charging station for it. :)

  • Realy ugly car!!

  • don't look at that car look at the guy))) He's cuuuute)

  • save on gas. pay more on electric bills.

  • @TheGameAfter it has no gas

  • They all look "weird" because they are actually trying to be fuel efficient and aerodynamic, unlike gasoline cars with power to burn.

  • I would expect a better looking vehicle from Mitsubishi, this looks like an insect.

  • why do they all look like they where designed for oompa loompas

  • Why is it that every hybrid or all electric car gets some weird design? Just make them look normal!

  • Looks like its designed for women.

Id rather drive some classic muscle even if its gonna cause global warm up.

  • 3:01 it's not even a gas pedal, is it?

  • now that we have electric cars lets find ways to I dunno NOT USE OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!! paint, made from oil, tires, made of from oil, plastic, made from oil, countless other things are made of oil as well. The batteries made over seas as well, so a big boat fueled by fossil fuels has to ship it here. just to make a car that requires electricity that comes from an electrical plant that uses fossil fuels and natural gas. eliminate the use of oil before you make stupid cars that run on electricity.

  • @D4RKWO1F ummm dude.... the quantity of oil used is waaaayyyyyy lesser! besides its just a steppin stone.....!! u have to agree taking economy into consideration dis is a way better alternative than petroleum cars!

em not saying its da best.... bt its better!

  • why do all the electric cars have to look like crap?

I want one that looks as good as say, the mustang or camaro

not a stupid smart car :\

  • i pluged my last car into my house and blew my power

  • Now it's time to focus on electric cars that charge themselves.

  • If its an electric car does it have a gas pedal?

  • every year cars get uglier and uglier, wtf man

  • @TeggyHD I know right?! Some cars look decent but for the most part, they are getting really funky lookin

  • @TeggyHD You have to realize that they have to reduce the amount of metal and heavy materials within the car to make it have more mileage. That means taking off most of the front and back ends.

  • @TeggyHD uglier and slower...

  • @TeggyHD hey, as long as they are safe for the environment then it's good... At least we are not riding horses, so thank someone for worrying about your comfort and the environment while you are just sitting in front of a computer whining about stupid things... I also hate when people whine about the speed of the car when you can only get to 75 max (legally speaking)...

  • @Daffy711 Ya, keep buying the lies.

  • @MercC23k they are better than burning gas...

  • @Daffy711

shut up bitch, i can care less of the environment and the speed limit lmaoo!

  • @TeggyHD I understand... It's ignorants like you that are ending with life in this planet... keep living in a dream...

  • @Daffy711

    uMad Bro?

  • Comment removed

  • only decent looking hybrid I've seen is the honda CRZ

  • @PiT0nZo nooo the CRZ is the WORST!

  • @PiT0nZo this isn't a hybrid... it is an electric car.

  • @PiT0nZo Porsche 918 Spyder?

  • @PiT0nZo the ford fusion is ok too but yea... ill never go for a hybrid or electric car.. they are all powerless fuck bags.. if i had 35K id rather buy a stang or STi lol this thing is a joke

  • @xmodrock If I had 35K I'd rather buy preferred stock in a blue chip co. and joke about all the money I make off of you and the other powerless fuck bags!

  • @FourDollaRacing sure kid.. keep dreaming

  • @PiT0nZo WHAT ABOUT THE Ferrari HY-KERS......

  • I like the technical aspects and all, but would it really hurt to make an electric car that doesn't look so ugly for once?

  • Very nice. Hopefully we start moving in the right direction now with traveling.

  • Wow

  • 80 miles won't even get me from my house to my school...guess this isn't for me.

  • @MizukiTHPS Wow - lotta miles a week!

  • Meanwhile, they will kill off the Lancer Evo. Damn you hippies, damn you all to hell...

  • ugly

  • 1:00 lets check out that back seat... LOL

  • "seem less shifting" its not the same transmission as a gasser and drives like a cadillac thats beacuse it has more than 2 times the amount of welds than a gaser due to the sounds would be louder without a gas engine to hide them.
