I honestly say that this is either another 'creative' wishful-thinking theories, made-up stories, escapism from harsh reality, or simply scams for...what else?...*sigh*...Money and popularity.
You just turned me off when I was just about to follow you...then your negative judgement came flying out...mind you...we all judge, period!!!...you responding to the first comment was good until you talked about making millions of dollars...this is not going to set people free...the truth inside of us will set us free...ever heard "Know thy self and to thy own self be true", thought you had!...sorry this stuff is interesting but it is not the way to freedom on the inside...blessings though~
With all due respect, you're setting people up for disappointment. Sure, you can pick out a tune, but you're devoid of musicality and technique. Even if you can accelerate the process by which people are developing the ear training or the coordination-- you're doing them an extreme disservice by discouraging classical training.
Disagree with me? Perform any of the Chopin Etudes. Playing some chords from a Journey song is hardly the work of a virtuoso pianist.
@AlecExeter We aren't trying to make virtuosos. Although ANYONE can be one. We just want to show that music is in everyone. We want EVERYONE to experience the joy of discovering the gift of music. A Journey song may not be as complicated as a Chopin Etude. But I bet the members of the band aren't complaining about traveling around the world, living a life they love, making millions of dollars.
What it boils down to is how the music makes you feel, even if it is a few simple chords.
@videocreationswv .. Well... ... As an Adult I can appreciate the wonderful sounds of music.. i think my life would be rather empty without music....!! i played instruments in school and art home.. never mastered them or cared enough to continue to take lessons...
