@cinderella22291 I'm clearly in favor of the Amarante ;) it's just more neutral and can easily match different colors. As pretty as the Rouge Fauviste is, I just don't find it as practical.

@ellets16 I don't think so, but it really depends more on how much you carry and what you'd use it for. I personally see it more as a nice evening/special occasion purse.

@punkydebutante1 The size is perfect for special nights out on the town which was my primary purpose for it. I don't use it everyday at all so the wear is minimal. As much as vernis is durable (I have the Sarah wallet which gets abused) I'm just worried about the bag getting deformed.

@hazelarceo I totally agree with you, it is my favorite vernis color (besides the violette which is no longer available). To be honest I don't use it often enough because I bought it just for special occasions, and when I do I am very careful... so not much wear and tear :) Although I did notice that the shape by the opening isn't perfect anymore. I don't want to say there's dents, really, but just not as solid? Does that make sense? lol

How would you say the PM compares to the MM? I'm undecided on sizes!

@glowshimmerglow I believe the MM is about double the size of the PM. It's tough to say exactly though because I never really "tested" the interior size of the MM. The PM can fit pretty much the same amount as a Trevi PM, which I did a video on. I would only put bare essentials in the PM, and actually I just bought this as a "night" purse.

@munkiemomi Hello, from my experience it does not. I also have the matching Sarah wallet with gets thrown around in my purse with keys, etc. and after months it only has a subtle scratch (more like a dent in the leather). All in all great quality!

Thanks for showing your Alma Vernis, I saw the MM size in the store last week and couldn't keep my eyes off it lol I'm really thinking of getting this bag in the Rouge Fauviste colour, if I don't end up getting the Trevi....please could you be able to do a comparison review on the Alma and Trevi and state your opinions on both, their sizes, practicality, etc? @Flowerbomb217 Hi there, and thank you :) I'm not sure if you've seen my Trevi vid but I do a little comparison between it and the Alma PM. IMO the Trevi is definitely more practical and "day to day", whereas the Vernis Alma is more of a dressy, special occasion type of bag. Size-wise they are pretty much exactly the same (the PMs at least). Tough choice!! ;) But it really depends on what you need more. Good luck!! xo

Hi, I was wondering what u think about the alma bb. Im trying to decide between the sizes, as I really like the idea that the bb size has a shoulder strap as well so u can wear it over the shoulder as well as by hand. Do u think the bb size is too small for its price? i was thinkng it might not be a good investment as a couple hundred more u can get the much bigger pm size however i like how the bb size can be worn day to night as a small bag.

@hotdogtown Hi there, personally for me I do feel that the BB is too small for its price shoulder strap or not. I just carry more things with me than it would carry, even at night. Since my PM is dark it looks stunning as a night bag (it's the primary use I bought it for). I guess it really depends on how much you carry and how important it is for you to have a strap. By the sounds of it you really wanted to get the BB more :) Check out both in real life, try them on and you'll know. Good luck!

@13lagirl From my experience the dark red only shows under direct sunlight/yellow indoor light. During the daytime it's a cross between burgundy and black, but it is definitely neutral and stains for me have been non-existent :)

love it.. i'm torn between the amarante and the rouge fauviste. cuz i don't like really dark bags, my only concern is amarante looks really black at night.. my wardrobe is mostly black, gray, white & brown..

@susumusa Thanks! The Amarante definitely looks black in the dark, so if your other choice is RF I think you'd have to go with that :) Personally I just couldn't like the RF because I didn't find it neutral enough to match. Good luck deciding!

Ahh, I'm leaning towards the Trevi! Because its more casual than the Alma. The Alma seems more formal-ish imho! However, the Alma is second in line after the Trevi! =)

@libra1375 Thanks libra!! Big CONGRATULATIONS again on getting the beautiful Trevi!! (I'm also on TPF ;)) Hope you're enjoying her to bits! I was fortunate enough to find the Amarante Alma PM here in Toronto. It was their last one so I had to buy it! I did a comparison of these 2 bags in my Trevi vid, they're relatively similar in size although the Alma PM is *slightly* smaller internally. Plus the Alma deforms if stuffed right to the rim so i don't recommend doing that. Hope this helps! :) Thx!

@lflo29 Hello. I've seen the MM in real life and just found it to be huge on, but then again I'm 5'4. I love big bags as well but just found that the base of the MM sticks out too far for me when carried on the crook of my arm. On the LV website its measurements are - (LxHxD): 15.1" x 11.2" x 7.3". I suggest you check it out in real life though or find pics on Google being worn to get an idea :) The difference between the PM and the MM is quite large. But this is just my opinion :) Good luck!!

@sitiazleen Thanks! :) I have a Sarah wallet in the same color of vernis, and I find it to be very durable. Throwing it around in my purse, there are no scratches, dents, etc. Still looks new! Vernis is also waterproof in general (just don't submerge it in water, obviously lol) so I'd say it is practical. It's made well and pretty solid. My only "thing" is it's not as casual as my other bags, but I guess that's what makes it special. I've seen others wear it casually though. I say go for it :)
