  • Reuters just produced an article in which an LDS general authority (Elder Marlin Jensen) admitted the church is losing members in droves and the apostles and first presidency are very concerned about it.

Article title: "Mormonism besieged by the modern age"

  • @CosmaBeautology21

"a religion that not ONE of you knows a THING ABOUT"

Wow! With what special powers did you divine what everyone commenting here knows and doesn't know?

  • Unconfirmed reports state that as many people LEAVE the LDS as join. If people on the inside, even if not in those numbers, need so desperately to leave, then logically you have to wonder - what is wrong with the church, the establishment and/or the belief itself? LDS as a religion is based on half-truths, boldfaced lies and brainwashing vulnerable people. What the LDS needs is a CLEANSING, a RAPTURE, to be erased from history as having been fake from the very start

  • Mitt Romney vowed & promised in the LDS temple to give everything he had to LDS INC. for the building of the MORmON kingdom on earth as LDS INC demanded & required it, & to follow evey LDS dictate.

THen LIAR Mitt went before the US public

& said he would put his political office first. NO one could trust someone as phony as Mitt .... unless they are a total MORmON / IDIOT.

  • It is conceivable, however, that Mitt Romney wants to be president so badly that he is sincere when he says that he would put his responsibilities to the nation first if he were elected president. But you're right, in so doing, he would effectively be violating a promise he made in the temple.

  • Voters have no real obligation to buy into such a tenuous situation, no matter how much sincerity Mitts pleads.

  • You are sitting at home having dinner with your family or relaxing when there is a knock on the door. Two young men have come to your home UNINVITED in an attempt to convert you to their religion.

They really don't give a damn what they may have interupted because, in Mormonism, there is no concept of personal space.

What's not to love about that?

  • If they had a poll at the time of Christ I wonder how that would have went. No wait! Pilate did and they all yelled "Crucify Him" So much for polls and public opinion.

  • It is hard to be unpopular, but if you pray hard enough, I bet you'll feel better again.

  • dont worry 2morrowman, as you ply your pathetic ridiculous MORmON persecution complex your cult religion only sinks ever lower in public opinion -just as you like in your contrived convoluted pathological state of self pity & self appointed Messianic indulgence.

You are stuck in a mode of self fullfilling prophecy for self serving cultists. Nail yourself to a cross to point out your grandeur, because even Jesus scoffs at your IDIOCY, MORmON!

  • I live a great life and certainly don't think that I am persecuted. Statements like yours only add a bit of laughter to my day so thank you settypatch.

  • HILARIOUS you are persecuting while making fun of him for a persecution complex........thank you for defining irony for me. LOL

  • @pilottim79

The thing that is really HILARIOUS is you TARD MORmONS who dont really know what persecution is, but run your mouths incessantly about being subjected to it.

Someone who points out what should be obvious is not necessarily persecuting you. They might be offering you the chance to see & do better if your personal committment to being stupid wasnt so overwhelming.

AFTER ALL Persecution is punishment with out basis. &You MORmONs deserve all the criticism & labels that come to you!

  • @pilottim79

a real defining of irony is MORmONS who are so dumb that they think they are smart. Hyuck it up over that, MORmON!

  • Actually, another 2007 poll showed even stronger disapproval toward the LDS Church, with 39% holding an unfavorable view and only 27% holding a favorable view (more respondents did not have an opinion in this poll).

Just among Republicans, 48% hold unfavorable views of Mormonism (vs. 28% holding favorable views).

Google [Hotline/Diageo poll Mormonism] for details.

  • Looks like people are becoming better informed. Don't suppose you could get a comparison from about 30 years ago iqlusion for comparison? That is more favorable than I expected specially for the US
