Cantu Shea Butter just seems to dry my hair out. My hair just soaks it up like a sponge and then gets hard and dry. Am I the only one who experiences this, lol?
It was pretty damaged, but it really just made my hair hard, brittle and hard to straighten.
On the other hand, it worked WONDERS on my moms hair, even though we have the same hair type, lol. Tht just goes to show that different hair requires different things. .(:
I use the Aphogee shampoo for damaged hair and the leave in conditioner. It did really well on my natural hair. My hair is still growing out so I wash and condition and air dry. I usually flat iron and rod set my hair as a protective style. The aphogee shampoo and conditioner made it softer and my ends looked so much better. They were not dry and brittle as before. I don't use lots of other products either. That also makes a difference. Everyone's hair reacts differently as you stated.
my hair nd my mom r both thick, black hair but 4 some reason my hair is better than hers. thick is not enuff. there is very thick nd medium thick. her hair is very thick so its more likely 2 break a comb. lol. mine is medium thick more easier 2 manage than hers. so i agree with wat u said.
I just bought the Cantu leave in conditioner today and it is the best moisturizing conditioner I have tried because you leave it in and it is creamy not liquid. I am growing my perm out and I still use all the Aphogee products because it strenghtens the hair.
I'm also going to show you guys when I get my hair done professionally I may: get it braided up and buy a full lace wig to wear, get micros in my hair, or cut it into a short style. I need to give my hair a rest from the flat ironing and all the stuff I do to it.
if you're going to be applying heat on a regular basis, may i suggest silken seal, by kera care? it gave my hair good sheen. it's about $14 but well worth it. i used it when i was relaxed; now i'm natural and still use it if i blow dry it. i also mix some w/ a container of oils i have. i spray the mixture a couple of minutes after i apply my leave-in conditioner. love it.
Yes I do. But because of the severe breakage I had to stop. I haven't put a perm in my head no for 3 months. I'm not going to wear a perm for a year or more. I have to let my hair breathe and get back to a healthy state.

Its not necessarily the perm that broke your hair. Perms just relax your hair but its up to you to maintain its health

I didn't mean it that way. I put perm on top of damaged hair. Chemicals damaged my hair, my stylist said I should try not wearing perms for awhile.

perms can damage your hair if not used properly an sum hair types cnt take thos chemicals
