The 80 km/h speed limit is nonsense anyway because mostly we go 88-90 km/h and that includes me.

I must say that the new trucks are much saver than 30 years ago. Disc Brakes, Retarder etc. Mostly car drivers complain about overtaking trucks who block the lane for minutes. I the limiter would be set to 100km/h it is much easier to overtake. But 120km/h with a 40t vehicle is way too fast in EUROPE!

What's the fuzz about? 120km/h is not very much, assuming you have road for such driving, traffic is light, and - especially - that your truck is made to take it. But as long as we speak about fast driving, I did over 120M/h in my KW few years ago. Fun it certainly was, but nothing close to recordbreaking. I think in 2000 there was a KW2000 capable of 160M/h; don't know about more current records.

That's supposed to be a big deal? 120 is normal driving in Nebraska,Wyoming, Arizona and New Mexico. I was once topping 109 miles(not kilometers) on a highway in New Mexico with my Freightliner FLD cummins ISX 500 HP grossing at 79000 pounds or 40 tons. In my cowboy hat I might add :)
