It doesn't get as many customers but so far I've sold whatever I put up there for sale. My friend but up his Van for $2500 3 weeks ago and it got sold for $2900. I bought barbell weights and a workout bench for just $50. It works and I don't have to give ebay any of my cash.

I recently lost $100 when I sold something to someone who paid with a stolen credit card through PAYPal. PAYPal reversed the charge after it was shipped. EBay does not allow people to post 'personal stories of fraud' on its chat boards. Within 5 minutes my warnings to other EBayers were removed. It took them over 48 hours to investigate my report that the buyer was using stolen cards. In that time, he bought $1000 worth of other goods. Shows where EBay's priorities are time wise huh???

just shut down my store after 5 years. new feedback rating of 97.3% (and only 3 negatives) is killing me. buyers extorting money from me left and right. received a negative this morning after I sent tons of extortion threat emails to ebay trust and safety yesterday, and they are stil doing nothing about it.

TO KILL EBAY! Try posting listings though ebay's turbolister in bulk with your messages to the buyers. If everyone does this it will be impossible to stop. put at least 100 listings of actual "HOT" items in the titles so buyers can find them easlily. THIS WILL WORK. Just make a throw away account and get ebay's turbolister and start listing. I think there should even a a planned 1 day event for this so it all happens at once and everything crashes! 2 ebayers bougth items 9days ago and 14days ago. she opend an unpaid item dispute and there still messign her around so she put strikes onto there account. she wrung ebay and they said that if the ebayer puts a negative onto her account it wont be removed.
so theyve bought and not paid waisted her time and they get to leave a negative all she can do is give a strike.
New feedback system means you can buy from people and tell them you havnt received your item regardless if it was signed for or not and threaten to leave bad feedback otherwise,
Great as a seller, can just order over and over and over and over again to your competitors and leave them mass loads of bad feedback (use your second account to do this) SHOULD CALL IT FREEBAY its a website will be overrun with fraud and dishonest people !!
Honest advice from an x-powerseller... I used to do 40-50k a month on ebay.. My account was suspended without warning, all listings ended and emails sent to all my buyers saying to get their money back, etc. I have called the ebay powersellers hotline 866-322-9103 and they will not give me explanation or reasoning. My advice: Sell your stuff in the garage but DO NOT rely on this as income.

As a public company, Ebay has to satisfy its shareholders and earn more and more profits every year. When growth slows, the easiest way for Ebay to make more money is by increasing fees. It is all quite obvious.
I don't think Google, Amazon, other payment companies can do a better job. If they ever become popular, they will be targeted by scammers just the same. Then they too will have to implement policies that are hostile to sellers to fight fraud.
Help me here - this boycott & outrage is mainly about the new anti-seller policies; #1 sellers will not longer be able to leave neg feedback for buyers & more increases in FVF -as well as other seeming anti-seller policies. I've only heard a couple complaints about the freeze policy though we should be concerned until it's better explained.

We both buy and sell on ebay. Not allowing buyer FB and the raise in fees does matter. Twice we have had problems with buyers not paying. One had the excuse he didn't bid that amount and that we had increased the bid for him somehow so he never paid. But he did leave the negative feedback for us. We were able to leave the same. In Dec another buyer keeps saying payment was sent we never got it. The buyer asked us to mutual cancel the bid so we did then he refused too. Ebay will not help.
Tired to paying not only fees to ebay but then to paypal for processing the payment to their own company! And, in April, the post office is raising rates again. They don't want the small sellers to continue selling - only the big ones. To top that, you can't blast a crappy buyer who stiffs you and takes forever to pay. Makes a yard sale look really good!
Sure ebay will probably oust me (small seller)78w/100fb but why would any other site do it cheaper and it would be short if they did. Seems like paypal and ups gets a good chunk not to mention buying anything bulk that goes through customs from China. Remember before ebay? Classified and Trader papers. Go check their prices, whew!

I've been an Ebay member since 1999 and a full time Power Seller since 2002 with 20,000+ transactions. This new feedback policy is idiotic. Ebay makes all their billions from sellers. We pay listing fees, final value fees, and Paypal fees. (Ebay owns Paypal.) Buyers don't pay any fees. Why shouldn't the sellers be allowed to rate buyers? Sellers are going to receive lots of unjustified negative feedbacks because buyers don't have to worry about receiving one in return. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNFAIR!!

I am unsure if I will be back. I am a small antique dealer and the price changes are forcing me out to say nothing of the unconscionable feedback changes which allow blind NEGATIVE feedback against sellers. If feedback -- has no value -- buyers and sellers will find another place to sell and shop. The threat of ruining ebay's feedback system will get them to listen.
Since there will be no repercussions for a buyer to give negative feedback -
If everyone started leaving negative feedback, even if it meant buying something from someone who is selling during the protest -- it would make ebay's feedback unless -- which is the Last thing they would want.

2) google will give you thousands of results.Don't click on any.
3) instead on the right hand page you will see"sponsored links", this means the websites listed here have to pay google money.
4) click on ebay or paypal sponsored links.
5) if millions of unhappy clicks everyday, calculate the amount ebay paypal have to pay every month.

EBay does not allow people to post 'personal stories of fraud' on its chat boards. Within 5 minutes my warnings to other EBayers were removed. It took them over 48 hours to investigate my report that the buyer was using stolen cards. In that time, he bought $1000 worth of other goods. Shows where EBay's priorities are time wise huh???

just shut down my store after 5 years. new feedback rating of 97.3% (and only 3 negatives) is killing me. buyers extorting money from me left and right. received a negative this morning after I sent tons of extortion threat emails to ebay trust and safety yesterday, and they are stil doing nothing about it.
spend $700 a month in fees? When the fark did eBay become the BOSS OF ME? I QUIT. Closed down the store today, will let my auctions run out. Looking for other options.

TO KILL EBAY! Try posting listings though ebay's turbolister in bulk with your messages to the buyers. If everyone does this it will be impossible to stop. put at least 100 listings of actual "HOT" items in the titles so buyers can find them easlily. THIS WILL WORK. Just make a throw away account and get ebay's turbolister and start listing. I think there should even a a planned 1 day event for this so it all happens at once and everything crashes! 2 ebayers bougth items 9days ago and 14days ago. she opend an unpaid item dispute and there still messign her around so she put strikes onto there account. she wrung ebay and they said that if the ebayer puts a negative onto her account it wont be removed.
so theyve bought and not paid waisted her time and they get to leave a negative all she can do is give a strike.

New feedback system means you can buy from people and tell them you havnt received your item regardless if it was signed for or not and threaten to leave bad feedback otherwise,

Honest advice from an x-powerseller... I used to do 40-50k a month on ebay.. My account was suspended without warning, all listings ended and emails sent to all my buyers saying to get their money back, etc. I have called the ebay powersellers hotline 866-322-9103 and they will not give me explanation or reasoning. My advice: Sell your stuff in the garage but DO NOT rely on this as income.

The people that leave eBay are driving up the competition for those that stay. The buyers will end up paying higher prices. Their master plan might very well be working to raise the values of items. there will be only a handfull of power sellers left after about a month or two after the new feedback changes...try to keep up a DSR rating of 4.5 will be a very difficult task indeed....

The BOYCOTT goes on! I'm a 99.9% powerseller, 11+ years but this is too much. I used last week's boycott to reserve my seller name with 9 different auction sites. Don't know which one I'll stick with but at least my good name is mine -- everywhere. Also got my own domain name through GoDaddy. $10/yr to reserve it. Tonight a bidder simply said she wasn't going to pay for a $50 book. I gave her a negative. Come May, eBay expects me to say nothing?? I hope to be moved by then. FIRE DONAHOE!

As a public company, Ebay has to satisfy its shareholders and earn more and more profits every year. When growth slows, the easiest way for Ebay to make more money is by increasing fees. It is all quite obvious.
I don't think Google, Amazon, other payment companies can do a better job. If they ever become popular, they will be targeted by scammers just the same. Then they too will have to implement policies that are hostile to sellers to fight fraud.

Help me here - this boycott & outrage is mainly about the new anti-seller policies; #1 sellers will not longer be able to leave neg feedback for buyers & more increases in FVF -as well as other seeming anti-seller policies. I've only heard a couple complaints about the freeze policy though we should be concerned until it's better explained.

We both buy and sell on ebay. Not allowing buyer FB and the raise in fees does matter. Twice we have had problems with buyers not paying. One had the excuse he didn't bid that amount and that we had increased the bid for him somehow so he never paid. But he did leave the negative feedback for us. We were able to leave the same. In Dec another buyer keeps saying payment was sent we never got it. The buyer asked us to mutual cancel the bid so we did then he refused too. Ebay will not help.

They don't want the small sellers to continue selling - only the big ones. To top that, you can't blast a crappy buyer who stiffs you and takes forever to pay. Makes a yard sale look really good!

Sure ebay will probably oust me (small seller)78w/100fb but why would any other site do it cheaper and it would be short if they did. Seems like paypal and ups gets a good chunk not to mention buying anything bulk that goes through customs from China. Remember before ebay? Classified and Trader papers. Go check their prices, whew!

Let eBay know how you feel by going to eBay home page, and click on the live help button on the top right corner. When it asks for a user name, just type any name in the box and pick any subject. Wait for them to come online, and give it to them.

the alternative has to be a viable option...otherwise you can put the fees back on buyers and charge a premium/upcharge at the end to cover fees...but the inability to leave non-paying bidders negative fb is what seems to really tick people off...like the hacking and hijacking of screen names is not enough...you cannot imagine how long my blocked buyers list is...down with feepay!

buyers must realize that if ebay drives small sellers away, competition/selection goes down, and they suffer. The only way to avoid nonpaying bidders is to make all your acutions 'buy it now' with immediate payment required, PAYPAL ONLY.......hhmmm who owns paypal????

why does feepay care about bringing back buyers??? buyers don't pay them diddley! we the sellers are their customers...we're the ones feepay should worry about running off. if those idiots realized that attracting more sellers (increasing competition) drives prices down they'd understand that this is the better buying experience buyers are looking for...of course buyers think shipping is too high...gas is +$3/gal...if you don't sell on feepay, when was the last time you shipped something???

I started on eBay in 1997 it was a blast, a real community, now it's no longer fun, I can get the same stuff from different close by sources, SCREW P-air and Meg!! they've screwed us enough. Craigslist is fair, etsy's good for handmade work. BOYCOTT

I've been an Ebay member since 1999 and a full time Power Seller since 2002 with 20,000+ transactions. This new feedback policy is idiotic. Ebay makes all their billions from sellers. We pay listing fees, final value fees, and Paypal fees. (Ebay owns Paypal.) Buyers don't pay any fees. Why shouldn't the sellers be allowed to rate buyers? Sellers are going to receive lots of unjustified negative feedbacks because buyers don't have to worry about receiving one in return. THIS IS EXTREMELY UNFAIR!!

Great video. BOYCOTT EBAY! I have been selling on Ebay for at least 10 years and I now find myself totally disgusted with the new policy changes. I will boycott on Feb 18-25th. I am unsure if I will be back. I am a small antique dealer and the price changes are forcing me out to say nothing of the unconscionable feedback changes which allow blind NEGATIVE feedback against sellers. Ebay is totally turning their heads to fairness in the market place! BOYCOTT EBAY ON FEB 18-25!

How to bring eBay to it's knees:
If feedback -- has no value -- buyers and sellers will find another place to sell and shop. The threat of ruining ebay's feedback system will get them to listen.
Since there will be no repercussions for a buyer to give negative feedback -
If everyone started leaving negative feedback, even if it meant buying something from someone who is selling during the protest -- it would make ebay's feedback unless -- which is the Last thing they would want.
