  • WHAT ABOUT WHEN THE SUN IS NOT OUT? WHEN ITS NIGHT TIME, WHEN ITS A CLOUDY DAY, A RAINY DAY, A SNOWY DAY. THE BENEFIT IS NOT CONSTANT COMPARED TO NUCLEAR FUSHION. AIRCRAFT CARRIERS DON'T USE SOLAR PANELS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AND WORK ONLY HALF THE TIME PLUS THEY NEED TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF ENERGY SO THEY USE NUCLEAR POWER. SUBMARINES TOO USE NUCLEAR POWER AND THEY ARE ALL SAFE. SO WHY SPEND TAX MONEY ON THIS THAT WORK ONLY HALF THE TIME. THIS ONLY BENEFITS GE AND THEIR BUDDIES.

  • @rvrola u can use solar thermal energy to melt a salt mix that can be used to run a turbine(via steam), or it can be stored in an insultaed tank for days. that means u can have a constant output even days after the input is stopped.

    there is one under construction in spain or portugal afaik, check it out.

  • if you really want to make something work here it is take a parabolic solar concentrator and send light into a mirrored cone shape focal point then send that light into mirrored glass tubing which will send the light into a mirrored box with solar panels in it the solar panels must be cooled by spinning or cooling system.now get to work

  • It's got to be cheaper to run solar than fossile fuels already especially with new systems being developed that are more efficient. Solar is free energy. How could the God father in New Jersey say it's not cheaper to run solar against fossile fuels that cost the enevironment alone a lot more! The northwest corridor for shipping is now potentially open to sea lanes due to huge melting from global warming. It's all about the weather believe me as to switching to solar 100% Solar not other fuels!
