He is the ONLY sincere pop guy out there. He has admitted using autotune, but he still sounds great, like we see in this video. He is one of the last great pop icons, and what's best, he loves great music, you can see him playin some of the finest blues nowadays. What a genius

@acexguitar you gotta be really diligent in trying to figure it out, i started with stop this train to really get a feel for it. look around on youtube for some good tutorials and what not, i may even put one up.

It looks like he has some kind of mic wired into an audio interface. The audio interface might be recording, bust he most likely has it recording on a computer via a usb port. hope that helps :)
@rippmyass i could, but i don't think squire makes a guitar heavy enough to injure. maybe if they did one of those rosewood telecasters in solid rosewood it would be heavy enough.
@lawritschristensen not sure on his exact equipment, but the gutiar he is using is a Limited edition Martin OOO ECHF Bellezza Nera, which has a Carlos Jaun CP-1A pickup. He Uses D'Addario EJ16 light gauge phosphor brone strings

Yeah! This is mostly @Pwn3d360; but this video along with the similar Half of My Heart version came with the Battle Studies Deluxe Edition. It came with a bonus dvd that had his performance from VH1 Storytellers + these 2 songs; the section in the DVD for these songs is titled: A Trip to Japan Alone. So yeah pretty much all of it is from Japan including to just roaming about and sound checking for shows. I love little videos like this; its like a backstage pass.

@lawritschristensen It's either a Sound Devices 722 or 744T. Really nice recorders but very expensive. Depending on the model he has it runs between $2,500 - $4,000. There's lower model I'm looking into buying Sound Devices 702 which is around $1,800. Can't figure out the mic yet.

Yeah! This is mostly @Pwn3d360; but this video along with the similar Half of My Heart version came with the Battle Studies Deluxe Edition. It came with a bonus dvd that had his performance from VH1 Storytellers + these 2 songs; the section in the DVD for these songs is titled: A Trip to Japan Alone. So yeah pretty much all of it is from Japan including to just roaming about and sound checking for shows. I love little videos like this; its like a backstage pass.
