Going back is not the same as going foward, when you go foward there is no prexisting you to be there to grow up in the present. But when you go back in time your coming from a time that hasn't happened yet as far as others are concerned but it does to you because you have been there. But yeah it is very complex.

I honestly think he'd be faster than the batmobile although I don't think he would have gotten there quite as fast. However, this is a cartoon. XD They tend to stretch the truth and sometimes even character abilities.

He didnt know exactly when but if he was still alive at that time, then he would find him in the Batcave lost and wondering what happened. And of course the older Bruce knew that Gear fixed it and Static would return back to his time, but the younger didnt know if Gear would be able to fix it.....still kind of confusing, but the time travel stories sometimes are
